    Good for you. Our Traverse 2022 has been a lemon. Check Braun reviews.

    Great video! How do you secure the wheel chair in place once in driving position?

    Would have liked to see the cargo area. Can this side entry have a manual ramp? Love the side entry. Hate rear entry ones. Thanks.

    I am a t9 paraplegic and I'm in the market for a vehicle and have been shopping around and I'd have to say this vehicle seems to have everything I want with the exception of two things. First one is a sunroof it doesn't have to be one of those panoramic where the whole roof is glass and slides back so don't have to have it but would love to have one but a simple sunroof above the two front seats would still appeal to me very much. The second thing and this is extremely important to me is that I be able to transfer to the driver seat. Being that your confined to a chair as well I would like to think u are understanding what I'm looking for. So if I were to transfer to driver seat I don't know if the part of the console that u can move is enough or if more would need to be rearranged and/or if one out of the two modifications would be enough. Second modification which after researching and looking at so many modified vehicle seems like the concept is easy and I am not saying the driver seat needs to do a 360° turn clockwise but at the max a 90° turn clockwise. So if any of these mods can be done or even if they can't I'd appreciate a reply so I know whether or not it's even worth my time to keep looking for. Also I realize that any modification that gets done that it's gonna cost a pretty penny when the price is already up. I understand why it is but on a disability salary my wife working three jobs just to pay the mortgage she can't help and my parents said they would help a little if it worth it and I have been filling out grants that they said in my condition sometimes they will offer a small lump sum. So having said all that could u give me a rough estimate if it's even possible to add them on and if not then maybe u might have another vehicle that's similar and already has those options on it. So whether u can or cannot I'd appreciate a reply by email even if it can't be done so maybe u could tell me if I'm approaching this the wrong way. I really appreciate your time and any feedback u could offer me.

    You say it has 4 more inches than the MXV had but is that including the 2019 model where the front seats pushed up fwrd unlike the 2018 model?

    • @MobilityWorks
      @MobilityWorks  3 роки тому

      Hi Ken, thanks for reaching out! The 4 inches mentioned in the video refers to the distance between the rear set of seats and the point where the cabin begins. The front seats do not push forward on this conversion as they did on the 2019 model.

    Can you also drive from the driver's seat while leaving your wheelchair tied down in the back and transferring into the front driver's seat?

    @MobilityWorks The gentleman in the wheelchair in this video, I believe his name is Jason, how wide is his wheelchair at its widest point at the floor level bottom of the wheels? The reason I ask such a specific question is I'm trying to decide between a Toyota Sienna and a Chevy Traverse. I drive from a manual wheelchair which is approximately 25.75 inches wide at its widest point at the bottom and I found in the Toyota that my wheel and push rim was pushing me notably to the right of the steering wheel off center. I was wondering if the Chevy traverse had more space in the driver seat area that might allow me to set more centered on the steering wheel.

    As a c5 6 quad told I’m needing zero effort steering , I find it scarey at high speed, every slight thing can cause a wiggle! I’ve been told only a rear wheel drive could work

      I agree with you. When I had my van converted it, the steering wheel had the reduced effort feature. I loved this feature when I drove on the side streets. However, when I got on the freeway, it was super scary. I eventually went back to the Ability Center to have it removed. Now I fall love with my van.

    He tucked his chin when backing in. He also takes up more than half of the front seating area.
    I got rid of a vehicle with an exterior ramp, tired of getting blocked in wherever I'd park. Just bought a Traverse with Zero Ramp and Gull Wing entrance door. WAY better...SORRY!!!
