I was a trial attorney for 40 years. This man has to be in the top 5 of witnesses I've ever watched / heard. He is a fantastic witness, and that means he is knowledgeable, non-combative, with a great memory and a teacher's ability to explain complex concepts to non-experts. He listens with his entire attention, and only answers the questions he is asked without anticipating or talking over. Well done on behalf of this poor little boy.

Judge who denied emergency placement order and child protection services need to pay greatly for this poor boys life. The system failed this poor boy. I hope this father gets his justice in prison.

Heart lacerated, liver lacerated, lung bleeding, blood in the pelvis, bleeding in the abdomen, bruises on the back, bruises on the head, and proof of past bruises all over his body.

This doctor was meant to be a teacher. Such a clear analysis and description of the wounds and healing process. So sad these were all about a child's injuries and subsequent death.
He is schooling that jury right now. He is clearly educating them on this sweet angel's murder. This is a wonderful way for him to use his clear ability to educate and inform. He will be key to Justice for this baby!

Yes, beaten up regularly, and the response of the child was called frozen-freeze... (there are four types: flight, fight, fawn, freeze). The child suffered mentally so much, too. being frozen in fear, sorrow, pain, confusion, sadness. :-( Rest in Peace, Angel. May CPS create COREY ALERT, as a lesson from this murder-death.

Him hitting the treadmill over and over didn't help none .This man beat him .
When he fell over and over, he landed directly on his chest and abdomen with major force and that was more than enough too cause death for such a small little boy.
When I watched the video, I could see why he died.
The fall's caused so much trama too his chest and abdomen.
I believe the treadmill incident was 12 days before his death. That would explain healing bruises that were evident when his mom took him to two medical facilities the night before his death by beating & kicking. 👺 “Sadistic narcissist.” I wonder about psychopathic behaviors in other relationships. He’s quite a bit older than Breanna but she gave birth to Corey at age 17. Is a 16 year old able to give consent for intercourse with an older person? They didn’t really have a relationship if he didn’t even know he fathered Corey.

Actually, that's what happens when you give a child to someone who has no heart or conscience. I would never hurt a child, ever. I was adopted at age of 7 and was never hurt by the adopted family. Too bad the person who carried me for 9 months and should have had a bond, didn't care or protect me. Sadly, I will never be able to physically have children due to the injuries I received from those who where biologically related to me. Bonds do not mean anything.
I don’t think the original comment was talking about DNA but rather an emotional bond which I assume u definitely have with ur adopted family. In this case the bio father was an absolute stranger and from what it seems like he didnt want any sort of emotional bond with his son. He just wanted to terrorize and torture him.

There's no way any of these injuries were caused by rescue attempts in the hospital! Children do not suffer these types of internal lacerations with CPR. This poor child.
Yes the technique is different for a child.
The nurse even explained that they used the one hand pediatric CPR.
Assuming that CPR did affect the heart for being weak at that time, my common sense is telling me that it was not possible that CPR could create the lacerations and bleeding in the other organs😮

@@mariaborrero957the lacerations are on the inside wall of the heart apex. CPR doesn’t cause those. I did my residency in the ER. Of all the times I’ve seen resuscitation done, only a handful of times a rib or sternum cracked during it.
This child could not please the father. He kept trying to run, run on the treadmill. Even after falling off many times, he was still trying to keep going to appease the dad. DISGUSTING!

This doctor absolutely needs to teach a master class. I would have loved to have him as my A&P professor. He does an absolute incredible job breaking everything down for the jury, not over speaking, and sticking to his convictions on cross. Bravo!

Yes, it was one of the most animalistic things I’ve ever seen and so cruel and unfathomable. And I love animals, so I hate to compare it to an animal, but it is when he’s picking him up the first time he falls off the treadmill and throwing him back on there as soon as he sticks his feet down on the treadmill, watch him. He bites the top of his head and pushes down on him for several seconds one of the worst things I’ve ever seen, and I watch a lot of true crime videos.
It was so horrific to watch. As a prior LEO and military veteran the savagery of what this coward did to that small boy was horrific. Watching him trying so hard to do what was, in a word, impossible to avoid that animal from beating him? It was heart wrenching.
This doctor is so fighting for justice for Corey. We don't hear the DA yelling at him at any point of time.

Expert witnesses are not meant to involve their emotions. They simply state the evidence and their conclusions from their assessments/tests etc.

This doctor sealed that monster’s conviction.
This doctor knocked this testimony out the ball park. He spoke vividly and candidly and really made sure he explained every detail in layman’s terms for the jury to understand.

Hard to imagine. You’d have to distance yourself to a degree, emotionally, in order to let the body of the dead child speak for the spirit of that child; in other words, have the strength to let the evidence speak the truth.

I don’t think you could get much better than this doctor speaking for Corey. Clear and articulate in explaining the absolute torture that poor little one endured. I really hope the jurors feel that way too.
I have a 6 year old boy.. watching that video of that boy running on the treadmill broke my heart and brought me to tears. I went and held my little guy for several minutes afterwards
(I remember running along my son at that age when he was riding his big kid bike with no training wheels while he (my son 20 years ago) laughed, and hoo haaadd until the end of the block

@@lydiainphoenix The mother contacted CPS over 100 times as well as requested an emergency custody bid but her concerns unfortunately went unanswered.
Christopher Gregor first met Corey at 5 years old and after Christopher had custody of Corey for ONE YEAR, Corey was dead. I cannot even imagine how badly Gregor beat six year old Corey during that last year of his life.

One of the saddest parts is that Corey was likely so excited to have a dad just like all the other boys in school and wanted so much to spend time with his dad and tried so hard to make him proud but all the dad did was beat the boy down over and over and over.

The testimony for the pathologist is very clear and precise. I understand what he is saying. Corey was beaten repeatedly by his father. What a horrible man. He will get his in jail....

It sounds like hes struggling to not cry in several moments. THAT gives a person serious pause. Someone this methodical and calm and poised, and still clearly pushing through the raw emotion of reviewing the injuries of a small child... Incredibly sad and powerful.
He clearly beat him so bad he had external injury AND liver lacerations BUT the stress cardio myopathy suggests that treadmill incident WAS NOT the only time his poor heart was stressed. The doctor said it was ongoing stress.
I’m from the U.K. and this Dr is absolutely outstanding, he is clear, consistent and answers the questions with so much detail.
I truly wish the best outcome for this young child.

My grandson is six years old. He has the same body frame as Corey. I can’t believe the suffering and pain that poor child had to deal with. I’ve been hugging my little man more often lately after watching this trial wishing I could have given those hugs to Corey.

Chris phone search shows the chats he did that day and that picture he took with Corey while the kid seems sleeping in the picture but in fact he was in a coma due to being beaten by this monster.. Dr. Thomas said today that the cause of death is homicide.. someone hurt him approximately between 9.00 am and 1.00 pm .. this is what the internal inflammation ageing says !

Pathologists have such a tough job and really make all the difference in these trials. This little boy had stress induced cardiomyopathy he was six. Six. Justice for Corey. Hope this monster gets life without parole for turning down the 30 year plea deal.

The guy has zero emotion and his full concentration is on trying to figure his way out of what he did to that poor boy. I can’t even call this boy his son because this guy never deserved him.
This Doctor was indeed the voice for this little boy. So incredibly knowledgeable. I can’t help but wonder what thoughts were racing through this little boy’s head during his dads mistreatment. He tried and tried so hard to please his dad…even though their relationship was fairly new. I’m sure he was so excited to meet and get to know his daddy. Only to be mistreated in so many ways😢. Those of us who are following this story have fallen in love with this little boy. Our hearts are broken for his momma and family, and the world’s loss of this beautiful soul.

All involved should be held responsible and held accountable for failing to do their job. Including the doctors the judge and the child services should of been protecting that boy.
Because no body wants to take accountability for anything and when you come to CPS or the judges with actual evidence still, they turn a blind eye.

Look up Southern Ocean Medical. They have many body bags going out every day. I just assumed they didn’t care about their abundance of elderly patients. (Including my Mother). I was hoping at least they would take care of children

He is doing a noble job of explaining the unexplainable. It must be very emotional for him to go into this kind of detail, understanding what must have been inflicted on this innocent child.

I can’t imagine hearing this description of any child’s injuries and not bawl my eyes out, much less my child. This man’s ice cold demeanor shows he never loved him, he was just a trophy to him, and a tool to manipulate and cause suffering to that baby’s mom.
This witness is beautifully spoken. I find him engaging. His details in describing the injuries are fantastic! He breaks things down so that the jury understands exactly how he came to his findings. This witness brought the "BAM" to this trial. I could listen to this man all day
This guy's going into protective custody in prison. He wouldn't last a week in general population.
