Nice flights. The O3 is like a no brainer. Digital all the way. I get analog use but it's always a sacrifice. There is just a huge undeniable difference between being able to see people, and being able to see the expressions on their faces. You could fly over an area, or fly over an area looking for your lost keys. One is getting a feel for the experience, and the other is utilizing it in a truly useful and rewarding way.
@@EndlessEnergy Yep I know my 1st flight with the motion controller was with winds and the horizon was always wrong, so yep, need to know the gradient, or look at the high cheminees. But thanks for the recommandation
2:40 The byproduct of this is it also shows you exactly what you are recording. You dont end up with different end result than what you thought due to it not matching. I can see the downside, but its a trade off.
I love the O3, but please bear in mind that i have no experience with OG air unit and V1/V2 goggles. Went straight from analog to o3/integra. I love it, but dont know how much of a difference it'll make for you. Thanks for watching🐢
Gorgeous flights, I hope it is everything you dreamed... Not for me though, until digital equals fixed analog latency, not interested until that point period. I can wait... I'm stubborn like that.
Hey, thanks for the vid! Had some doubts, but now I'm all in on these Goggles. Range was my main concern, but that FCC hack totally sorted it out - these Goggles it is! Picture quality, ease of use, and straight-up simplicity got me hooked. Quick one though: I'm planning some long-haul flights with the Chimera 7 Pro V2. Can I pull off a solid 4-5 km range with decent penetration? Appreciate the info in advance! And props on the dope video, killer locations! Slovenia? Big ups, bro! 👌
Video location -> Montenegro, Durmitor National park. I have flown 5km mountain surfs without any issues, it all depends how low you're flying. Slap a GPS on it just in case but I think you'll be satisfied! Thanks for the kind words! 🍻

There was only one instance of me losing the video signal, at around 3km but I that was flying through a gorge with insanely steep faces, so I probably got behind one of the rocks so the radio signal had to penetrate a massive rockface. It's safe to say that it is rock solid up to 7km!
@@EndlessEnergy thanks for your fast reply, I think I will get this system for my long range copters, I fly in north Texas, and it’s flat as a pancake here so I should get really good results
@@EndlessEnergyit will never fry itself... the 03 has overheating protection and shuts itself down... vista had this too, but the 03 gets hotter than the sun when stationary
Valid concerns. The battery is awesome and you can be replaced with a bit of tinkering, antennas are indeed non-removable which could be a problem if you do some real long range like 8-10km.
Starting from nothing, Just picking up the hobby, its Well worth it to pick up the Digital stuff. For the price, and in this day and age, most people just will not be pleased with the quality of the view while flying on a analog system, Regardless of what the playback looks like.
@@EndlessEnergy If lowest latency is your aim, and you can ignore the fussy VHS like picture, you can be a better racer on analog.. but for anything else Digital is the way.
1) Power on both 2) Hold the power on button on integra until it goes into binding mode 3) press the link button on air unit until it also goes into binding mode And that should be it, if there are any issues, update the firmware on airunit and goggles as well!
That depends on where you are from, here the cheapest Dji goggles are 450$ and you can get caddx vista for 120$. I still prefer DJI integra goggles with a O3 air unit, reception is so reliable you don't even need to mess with buying after market patch antennas (which is nice considering that antennas are not even removable on the integra)
@@Zachbuchan Precisely, I can't really recall how I set it up but I do remember that it was way less fiddly than when flying analog VTX. Plug and play, DJI O3 never failed me. I think I've lost video signal only once!
@@EndlessEnergy I wonder if this is legal in europe🥲 when I flashed my radiomaster and elrs receiver I could decided between eu or fcc. finally great footage with a cool soundtrack!!...... great taste friend!!
