We color grade completely different. I bring it back to REC and use that as my baseline. Goes to show you, method doesnt matter as much as the end result. Very interesting. Great video.
Been checking your vids since your tutorial on the Runcam Thumb and Orange. Really appreciate you taking the time to help make my footage look so much better! (Although I use DaVinci Resolve)
nice tips, the hardest part for me getting good footage from my drone, wether its the o3 or a gopro is when i need to fly in changing light conditions, like from outside bright sunligt, into a dark forest, or a dark house. In this case i either need to set the shutter or iso to auto. any suggestions? i would like to hear your thoughts
Hey thanks for watching. Yes I would suggest setting a HIGH ISO limit to like 800 and then cleaning up the noise in post. If that is still not enough light you would also have to set the shutter to auto. But lock in you WB if you can.
@@AdventureFPVhow do you go to these settings at 4:14? I don’t have anything like that. My settings window looks totally different, then I can go to advanced camera settings in mine but I don’t have shutter speed or anything like that.
I hope you can help me. I’ve been practicing fpv for quite a while and I want to transfer my data from the sd card to my computer and I don’t know how. I appreciate it.
So, the video feed recorded onboard the O3 air unit and the video feed displayed in the goggles are separate, correct? For instance, if I set the recording to 4K at 24fps onboard, the goggles will always display at 1080p with a full 100Hz refresh rate, right?
No, they share the same settings. So if you record in 24 fps, the goggles are in 24 fps, which results in more latency. That's the biggest problem with the O3.
I try to set the sharpness and noise reduction options but it won't let me select I also can't set the quality to 2.7k at 30 frames, it's as if those options were blocked. Has anyone had this happen to them? Do they know what I should do?
hey I think you need to fly in 4:3 aspect ratio. if you use 16:9 it just crops the 4:3 sensor. I have had some success with 4:3 so gyroflow has as much frame as possible. then in gyroflow exporting to your desired aspect ratio. also I suggest flying in 100FPS since this give you the lowest latency possible (not effected by any other settings).
Hey there, thanks for the information. I typically film in 4 x 3 on all of my cameras and do exactly what you're talking about but I didn't see a 4 x 3 option in 4K only lower resolutions. I also just found out about this 100 FPS latency thing that's pretty cool.
Hey you mabe able to help me. for some reason when i put my 03 footage on to DaVinci Resolve its says off line and wont play or work. I can watch the videos fine using other programs and the footage works on other edit programs but have been using DaVinci this year and have only had a 03 unit for a few months but cant edit the footage and its very frustrating...any ideas why this may be happening?? Have never had any probs with other footage ...the dji v2 goggle footage works fine when flying the 03 but not the 03 footage from the memory or memory card and the air unit footage has always worked. Any help would be really appreciated Have subbed.
Hey I'm so sorry for the delay I just saw your message. I don't use DaVinci resolve so I don't really have any advice for you on that. One of my good friends also said he was experiencing a problem with his GoPro footage it would give the same message he had to do something with a plug-in he ended up giving up and switching back over to final cut pro. Have you figured anything out since you left me this comment?
@@AdventureFPV Still wont work,,i guess ill look into it more at some stage..i just run it through a export on video pad then im able to use the footage..is a pain i have to do that but it works for now. thanks for getting back to me.
@@Bitathisandthat and I always leave electronic stabilization, turned off and then process it through Gyroflow for better results on the stabilization side. It may be worth your time to try stabilizing an expert in one of the clips directly from Gyroflow to see if it will import to da Vinci. Since you're already having to export in convert the footage, this may be a better way to improve the footage by getting more stability out of it as well. Happy flying!
Except that the higher you put the framerate, you’re trying to store more data in the same amount of time, which means the video gets more compressed. Which makes this already low-ish bitrate camera look even worse. This gets even worse when you don’t use an adequate ND filter and you don’t have motion blur, because all those sharp unblurred details will eat up bandwidth, leaving very little for the rest of the image. If you’re filming to get a nice image, whatever you do don’t set the O3 Air Unit to anything other than 30fps.
Since these filters are so small, it doesn’t really matter who makes them. Iflight, Runcam, GEPRC, BetaFPV, they’re all decent. Just be sure to get a couple different strengths.

Sick as tutorial homie.
Hey, thanks brother
Thank you for this video. I learned quiet a lot today. 😊❤
Good tips! Thanks 👍
How do you find the output quality of gyroflow? Mine seems to be significantly lower quality than the original.
Is 4k 16:9 better than 2.7k 4:3 when you use gyroflow? Some ppl recommend to use 2.7k in gyro and rather upscale it in DaVinci. What do you think?
What settings have you set to record for the O3? My recordings look completely crap and are not recognized in Gyroflow. Greetings from Switzerland🙏🏽
nice video!
how do i enter the menu you use with tip #4?
Can we take photos with dji O3? Holding down the camera button does beep like in the Avata, but it never change to photo mode. Any trick to get that?
Can you recommend a gimbal for this 03?
great stuff!

Buy a deadcat frame or mount your camera on a stick and remember not to crash

FYI 4k/60 makes your video to the goggles with much more latency. 4k/100 gives the lowest latency. This has been tested and proven.
That's good to know I was unaware that 100 FPS last latency than 60. I'll have to give it a shot. Thanks for the tip.
