Here in China whenever we have hotpot we MUST have 芝麻酱, which is a combination of peanut paste + Tahini, to dip in the meat/vegetables and make the flavors 10 times better 😋

From what I've seen, the flavour will be stronger if you crush the block then stir fry it using a tiny amount of oil first before adding water

Here in Taiwan we have tons of hotpot restaurants, the Sichuan flavor is definitely the most popular one. Not too sure about the hot pot bricks but the end result looks delicious either way!
