- Pine-apple jam! 🍍 🌲 🍎 🌿
It’s really important to pick the young, tender and green pine cones. Make sure you only pick a handful from each tree and leave some for nature as always 🤓
I’ve used Scot’s pine cones in these and not Bradley’s (that was terrible) 🤣
The apple juice is nice addition and works so well with pine.
Recipe: 🍃
30 green pine cones
600ml apple juice (not from concentrate)
2 tbsp light soft brown sugar

Have you tried barbeque hammers?
Is it anything like Teriyaki Crystals and Change?
It gets squishy after boiling 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
I had candied pine cones at a restaurant for the first time a few years ago. I thought I would hate them but they were soft and had the most amazing flavor. Definitely one of those things people think is inedible but if you get the baby green ones like these, they are amazing when prepared
Sous vide catalytic converters are a fine delicacy, I also recommend poached traffic cones if you are into something more exotic
Very original, mush have seen it on some of instagram comments
I looooooove grilled gem stones💕
Interesting, and i thought I've seen it all. Have to try this one out. Every day learning something new, many thanks
Mmm must smell clean like pinesol
got sort of a freshness to it like mint
This video made my day. Such a cool concept
Loved this video mate
Beautiful, had these at Noma a few years ago and been meaning to replicate. Thanks.
Where did you find that tea plate? İt is very popular in Turkey.
i wanna try this!!
When is the best season to forage green pine cones?
Magical
Oh, it’s called mugolio. It’s traditionally Italian or Turkish I think. It’s syrup by the way, not jam.
It is originated from Italia but apperantly some regions of Turkey also does it(specifically in Aydın and Mugla). As a Turkish I have never heard of it tho.
@@exosproudmamabear558 Thank you for your insight, ma’am!
Pinecone party liquor!!
do you weck/sterlize them?
I think you wash the cones first to remove dirt and other stuff. Boiling them will already sterilize them pretty well.
Huh, cool
It tastes pretty cool too 😆👌🏻🌲
Probably great fiber, I imagine
Use panela sugar more taste for your buds
pine cones also have vitamin c ☺️
Absolutely! They’re so good for you
Well even of there was any it boiled off as it degrades wa below boiling temperature
coming up next is concrete jam made from crushed rocks
Reminds me of a time a ate a heaping bowl of old bay seasoned boiled june bugs.
I thought those were cooked silkworms at first glance
Time to raid my pine trees
Sounds like a plan to me
Not every pine tree has edible parts. Make sure to check what species your trees are first.
Like!!!!! 400
i'm not at all an adventurous eater but this looks too good not to try! too bad i can't find these pinecones in my area..
They are everywhere in Siberia
Turpentine jam🤔
Have yall tried barbecued hammers?
Cool. I’ll just go somehow forage for green pine cones.
What do you mean somehow? Do you know where pine cones come from? Find a tree when the pine cones are young and pluck them off that tree doofus
Why not?
This man clearly never walks outside.
That’s gotta be the easiest thing to forage depending where you live
I live around millions of pine trees. Not one has green cones in it anywhere near reachable without a ladder. Y’all talking down to me like this but I get not one SINGLE PERSON HERE has gone out and foraged a single green pine come.
British food
Now you just gotta make barbecue hammers
Really good with triple cooked horseshoes.
this look like rabbit poop
Not nearly as scrumptious as tree bark marmelade.
Is this a prank
NO.
No.. Just no
Trying to poison your followers? Nice one
Pine trees have many uses. For some species, you can turn the needles into tea, eat the seeds, or turn the cones into syrup (which is called mugolio).
@@SamGamgeeGardner poison! This channel is trying to KILL CHILDREN WITH MISINFORMATION!
bro is unable to do a minimal amount of research
@@k1j1j1j I am correct you are wrong
@@CWCville_Guardian I’m a gardener and a forager. They are not wrong. You are. The pine cone jam (properly syrup) is called mugolio. It’s not poisonous unless you use the cones from the wrong tree.
The best part about making Pinecone Jam knowing that City People don’t know how to, and it’s important to make Pinecone Jam, so that you can remind those "People" that they can’t have anything good in life. They’re allowed to have Soda and Starbucks Coffee, and Fast Food . Hey, that's a pretty good Pinecone Jam... Not that a City person would know
I hear what you’re saying! It’s pretty special stuff but we can’t have it all 😅
We have a ton of pine trees in my city. I'm gonna try making this, looks super good and easy!
Thanks for allowing us city folks to have soda, starbucks coffee and fast food
tf you mean "allowed"?
Curb the elitarism, Jesus.
When you will get old and will need medical assistance where will you go, to Cletus and his potatoes?
We both have our place.
I feel like this is a joke or something...There's no way that taste good... has anyone tried making this?... how did i even get here?
A moment of silence for all the Seregios killed to make this recipe possible.
Bro, a hidden Steve reference 👍
