What is the link for the frames? Can you please add it for me? I have an idea for framing my tv. It looks light enough to hang on the TV. Thank you for all of your videos and providing the link.
It may not put holes in the wall during application but just you wait till you take it off the wall: chunks of drywall coming with it, ripping right through any layers of paint as well as the drywall paper… command strips. Command strips are the only renter friendly solution… You’ll continue making money from those words friend!
😊I agree.... unfortunately none of that stuff is renter friendly, it's a tough job removing it. It's more for a low cost option to look nice, more for home owners
Can hard as nails adhesive stick to that removable vinyl that people use for wall decals? I just removed a bunch of it from walls where it has been for 10 years and am amazed that the paint did not come off with it. As I was removing it, I was thinking how cool it would have been to do something more artistic with the vinyl than I had done.
Instead of doing a black wall with paint, my daughter bought black foam board, used tape on the back to form 6 foot sections, command strips to put them on the wall, then did the picture frame thing on the outside of them. same effect much easier to remove and leaves no damage on the walls
The an area of wallpaper in my entryway got damaged. Rather than re-wallpaper the whole room, I just scraped off the part that was damaged (which was the bottom half of the wall), painted the bottom half a contrasting color, and then slapped up some peel and stick chair rail molding! It looks fantastic and it was a lot less work!!!!
Test anything aticky on your walls, even command strips. Those things leave craters in my layered (on top of the 120-yr old plaster base are layers of wallpaper, paint, skim coat, more paint, etc) plaster walls. My landlord instructed me to use only a certain kind of wall hanger and thats what i stuck with fir 17 years until i bought the house. Now the walls are my problem 😄
The command strips will do that if you don’t slowly pull on those tabs at either end when removing them, and pull them out straight (not on an angle or towards you)
I’ve used the peel and stick moulding for so many projects! I’m so pleased you’re talking about it. From headboards to making shelves look more polished and refined. And yes, as a chair rail and your project on your “moody” wall 😂😂! You’re brilliant.
I've used it also and didn't have any paint peeling problems or anything... I also used my craft heating gun, not my good one but the one I use on crafts to loosen the glue as I was taking it off....!
having paint peeled off the walls at move out doesn’t disqualify üü from your deposit- they have to completely repaint the entire place when üü move out anyways..
@@tamipierce5916Some people don’t know crafts and wouldn’t know to use a heat gun or how much liquid nails to use. They could use alot then go to rip it off. You’d be ripping off more than paint. Some drywall too.
@@Roman_LaFleurYou’d think that. But they can charge you for having to repaint because you damaged the wall. Every place is different. So don’t assume that you’re supposed to paint so they won’t charge me.
This is the most calm I’ve ever seen Jesse, also the most civil conversation I’ve ever seen on him. AMAZIN, also Jesse needs as much help as this woman honestly. He has some messed up doctrine
I'm not sure where Jesse's decor expertise went south, but "this woman" is the answer to your quest for awesome ideas like this on a shoestring budget!! 💁🏽♀️
The no nail adhesive really isn’t renter friendly, we used it in our town house and when we tried to take it down it ripped all the drywall, paint right down to the plaster board. Was a huge repair and the wall never looked the same.
i love these! i bought peel n stick faux brick panels from DT and they looked a bit unfinished...i used them as a low border going up my stairs wall. i def wanted a nice finishing touch to them, like my moldings, but i don't use saws and no idea how to mitre cut...so these strips were exactly what i needed. Ty for the caulk tip!!! i didn't cut the joint edge quite right so this will camo the little gap. Loving your channel!💐
I loved your ideas. ❤ do you have ideas for dry walls that have a texture in it. Like how to cover or give it a better look (renter friendly) Thank youu
She's not saying to use liquid nail, as everyone knows that stuff sure isn't renter friendly, she saying use something like command strips if you don't own your home, which would then work for renter's.... I ordered heavy duty two (2) sided tape from amazon whenever I did mine, and never once had a problem with them falling down or any of the paint peeling when I took them off in my hallway...!! I did use my craft heating gun to loosen the sticky tape and I also used it when I was putting the chair rail up to help it stick better...!! Amazon has a ton of different chair railings in different sizes, designs and even colors, they also have crown molding that's renter friendly...!!
She did say you could use liquid nails, you could also use command strips, I like how this is renter friendly. Exact words. She didn’t discourage you from using liquid nails in rentals. Which you should. By her statement if you didn’t know better you’d think it was safe to use. You’d be repairing some walls if you used it in a rental.
@asj-124 Yes! I have put up Christmas garlands using 3m command hooks for years, and though most come off easily, I’ve had a few here and there that either didn’t come off or ripped the paint and paper layer of drywall off, leaving an obvious tear that needs repairing. Fortunately, it was only in homes I’ve owned. I’ve also had my decorations that took a long time to arrange and embellish just fall off the wall, and sometimes break things, when using the command hooks. And for those who are likely to chalk it up to technique: I always cleaned the hooks and wall with alcohol, as suggested. Let it completely dry. Held pressure on longer than instructions state. And waited a day or two before hanging anything on them. I also used extra in between, to distribute the weight. Still had them fall or ruin the wall. Now, I just use skinny nails in the top or side of moulding and on my mantle. Back to the moulding. Besides all this, who wants to spend that kind of money on a rental that won’t be reusable or necessarily work for a new space if you move? (Hard enough to afford it for a home you own, many times!) And have that extra work to remove moulding and possibly patch up and paint, on top of how time consuming moving your whole life is? Or lose your deposit and/or be charged for removal? I think all these influencers who advertise their do it yourself, involved (time and/or expense) home improvement projects as renter friendly are unrealistic for the average person.
@@sharkgirlloveschewba She said that she used Strong as Nails, but that you could also use Command Strips as a renter friendly option. That's one thing I don't like about Shorts....they zip by at the speed of light, and it's easy to miss the details.
That came from Lowe's it comes in a 2 pack for $7 very inexpensive. I know this was made 6 mos ago, but this is a really great idea. You can even put it on cabinets to spruce older looking ones up. Just be sure to really clean the cabinets first. All you have to do is google peel and stick chair rail. You'll find Amazon isn't always the best price

The hard as nails isn't renter friendly.
Loved to hear those words Renter Friendly. I was a handyman/painter. Made a lot of $$$$ from those words🤣
The chair railing may be renter friendly but the paint? Or using caulking to fill the gaps with command strips? Hahahahah not.
It may not put holes in the wall during application but just you wait till you take it off the wall: chunks of drywall coming with it, ripping right through any layers of paint as well as the drywall paper… command strips. Command strips are the only renter friendly solution…

I know, she’s completely damaged that wall. Plus a dark paint? 2-3 coats to fix
That black paint is gonna be a bitch to cover!!! 😳
@@zerotodona1495minimum.... I've repainted a wall that dark it took us six coats and of quality paint....
I saw the thumbnail and thought the red peel-off part was fruit by the foot 😂
I definitely thought it was a huge popsicle (think Flavor-Ice)
Me too!
Me too😂
Came here cause I thought 💭 cool what can i do with fruit by the foot. lol
My face when she said molding😂
If you're going to use liquid nail you had better not be renting because that stuff is really hard to get off.
😊I agree.... unfortunately none of that stuff is renter friendly, it's a tough job removing it. It's more for a low cost option to look nice, more for home owners
Yes, it will take your drywall off wherever it was glued to.
I think the renter friendly option was to use command strips. But I doubt that would give the same appearance.
She would be a renters' nightmare 😮😮

It isn't exactly renter friendly, I know because I've used it. It looks great but be careful pulling it off, it can & will usually rip the paint off.
It can rip off drywall too. It’s not at all renter friendly. If you just watch the video and didn’t know crafts you could really screw something up.

Liquid nails is not a renter friendly product, on walls at least. Use command strips or a double sided peel and stick tape option instead.
