★About seasonings
--Substitute for Mirin and Sake--
If you can’t find mirin or sake in your city, you can substitute them like this👇
For 1 tbsp mirin use either:
1 tbsp sake + 1/2 tsp sugar
or
1 tbsp white wine + 1/2 tsp sugar
For 1 tbsp sake use:
1 tbsp mirin
or
1 tbsp white wine
It won’t be exactly the same, but still works 😋

Wow! They all look delicious! I've tried your simple miso soup a few times and it always turns out good and makes me happy. I've bought a tamagoyaki pan and so far, I'm not very good at it, but practice makes perfect! Thank you for sharing wonderful inspirational breakfasts with us!
16:24 you were apologetic about the light, I think it looks great, even on a screen a bit of sunshine makes people feel better, almost lighter in their mood 😀 I was thinking how good it feels to have the morning sun on my body
These look fantastic! What I love is that you’ve taken simple ingredients that are relatively easy to get. Any challenging ingredients could be simply replaced by something else, and all of these would still turn out amazing
My family loved your salmon recipe! Thanks
Thank you ! I might try this ! I am in love with japanese culture !
I made seabass for dinner tonight; whilst I was cooking, I was thinking I could save the smaller fillet and have it for breakfast tomorrow, Japanese style!
I clicked on UA-cam to watch something whilst I ate, and your video was here, showing us all about different breakfasts, a wonderful coincidence! If I have the energy, I might try making the tamagoyaki to go along side it, with some seasoned salad, pickled tomato and rice!
Ahh these dishes look so tasty and comforting!! I love your videos so much 💕💕
I love your colourful presentation.
this looks so good
Uhhh nice! New inspirations ❤
I never liked mayonnaise until I tried kewpie mayonnaise. It really is the very very best and taste totally different. Thanks for the recipes love the egg sandwich
I stopped and I was doing and ran into the kitchen to see if I had a cucumber. I am making your smashed marinated cucumbers as we speak! Can’t wait to try them!
This channel is so comfy and cute. Congratulations on your work. Salut from Brazil!
😋 Yum
I would like to see some natto preparations. Thank you for your video all looks delicious.
For the vinegar, regular white vinegar or rice vinegar? I recently learned that we have a Japanese Grocery store in our city. It's not the typical Asian market. They specialize in Japanese products. I make Shokupan at home but they sell the real thing there so I had to try it. Honestly, it's hard to tell the difference other than I can taste a little more salt in the one I bought at the store.
It’s going to be rice vinegar.
Looks yummy! I can’t wait to try them out :) what did you use for the salad in the first one? It looked like rhubarb or something?
Thank you! It's a beetroot salad. I just bought it from the supermarket :)
Looks delicious, thank you for posting! Is it common in Japan to eat such a elaborate breakfast during weekday or is more of a weekend treat? :)
I'm talking out of my ass as I've never lived in Japan, but in Taiwan (where I used to live) and Korea (where I'm living now) the elaborate breakfasts are more of weekend thing. On weekdays it's often some combo of eggs, rice, and the soup from last night's dinner. In Japan I imagine natto is in the equation too 😂
Hello! My grand parents use to eat this kind of breakfast everyday. For my generation, it's more of a weekend treat :)
What would you recommend to replace salmon/tuna with? I like Pangasius would that work in these recipes?
Your recipe is awesome and will go
very high.of course it will be very tasty to eat.😋 I love it .I will definitely try it.You will tell me in the comments. How do you like my recipe?Thanks....👍👏👏
for the first meal is it technically for 2 people? or more (or less) just so i understand the proportions a bit, i want to make this for my family sometime :)
Hi Yuka, student chef here and I gotta ask, where'd you get your apron? It's very cute and simple 💕
Thank you! I got it from a shop called "Muy mucho" in Spain :) It was a long time ago, not sure if they still have it 🙏
@@yuka_jp ahhh, I can't believe my idol went to my homeland!! SPAIN!!!! NOW I LOVE YOU EVEN MOREEE!! 😊💖
Hi! I have a question. I wanted to buy the bonito powder you often use in your recipes, but I could only find dashi no moto in the supermarket. Can I use it instead of normal dashi powder?
Yes! Dashi no moto is same as bonito powder :) They translate different ways depending on the supermarkets.
@@yuka_jp Ahh thank you! ^^
Hi, where did you buy the dashi bag for the miso soup? I’ve been looking for that but cant find in supaa near myhouse, thank you 😊
Thank you for the comment! Are you in Japan? I always buy it from Kayanoya. It's a very popular dashi brand but a bit expensive and they don't sell it in the supermarkets. You can buy it from their shops or online ☺️
@@yuka_jp yes im in tokyo, Life & Seiyu is supaa near my house but cant find (cant read kanji :p) for perfect dashi. But thank you ill buy the kayanoya ☺️
@@ppucay I see! I really recommend Kayanoya dashi if you are looking for a high quality one ☺ I hope you enjoy Tokyo life 💓
What sugar you use? It looks brown👀
Thank you for the sake substitution by the way, it’s illegal for me to buy it😅
0:42 Onion Miso Soup? Disqualify yourself from this life.
8:52 Oh wow, you are really pampered, aren't you? No actually productive person has the time, opportunity and money to cook and eat this much food for breakfast.
