      Very inspiring, I can't wait to try some of these! If you don't have Dashi packs, how much powdered dashi do you use in your miso soup in Day 1? Thank you!

      I think it just depends what you're used to 😊 If it's the norm then you don't think twice. And if you already have tons if meals in your head that you can eat. Also, it takes 20 minutes for just about any meal, even 7f it's a sandwich 😂😂

    Love the recipes I plan on trying more after I convert them to veggie. I just like to mention though that cats are *meat obligates*
    And although they can eat rice. eating just rice with some bonito flakes will make them Not very healthy. Although I love that she told us that it makes it more fun to eat. My cats are totally uninspired by my cooking Nothing I makes them want to eat it : )

    These meals look amazing and I can’t wait to try them! I just have a random question, is there a difference between bonito powder and bonito flakes? Thanks!

    • @yuka_jp
      @yuka_jp  2 роки тому +2

      Hello! Thanks for asking! Yes, they're different :)
      Bonito flakes:
      They’re flakes shaved from a piece of dried bonito. They’re used for making dashi and for putting on dishes.
      Bonito powder:
      It’s an instant soup stock powder made from dried bonito, salt, sugar and flavor enhancer, etc,
      It’s used for making dashi and seasoning dishes.

    Delicious meals- you eat so well! English teacher here, tomatoes has -es ending (as does potatoes), some garlic (uncountable) or a garlic clove (countable) and watery, rather than waterly. Hope this helps :)

    I love gyoza dumplings 😍 I can now found some frozen ones at my local supermarket, I like to steam them a bit in the steam basket of my rice cooker (while making rice), then I will fry them in a pan with a dash of oil for a few minutes. So delicious! I will definitely try your dipping sauce next time 😋

    It all looks very good. But for me personally most Asian food recipes use way too much sugar and rely way too much on cornstarch. Both are a simple carb. But the nice thing about cooking it yourself is you can leave those things out.

    Hi, I have a question.Is it true that Japanese doesn't like foreigners and they would give haunted houses for rent?

    • @yuka_jp
      @yuka_jp  2 роки тому +1

      Hello! Interesting questions!
      -Do Japanese dislike foreigners?
      We definitely don’t dislike foreigners! However we are shy + we are not used to foreigners + we don’t speak English.
      For that reasons, some foreigners may feel not welcomed 😞
      -Do they rent haunted houses to foreigners?
      I’ve never heard of that🤔 My foreign friends all live in decent places.
      One needs to keep in mind that the screening for renting decent flats in Japan is strict. You need to demonstrate that you have stable income. If not, your options will be limited, and it doesn’t matter if you’re Japanese or not.
      This is my opinions based on my experience :)
