You make such wonderful videos. It makes this type of cooking approachable to a beginner like me who is trying to venture out and try to make new dishes. The way you do your video's makes it not intimating to try these dishes. Thank you so much for your hard work putting these videos together and sharing these wonderful recipes!
Tofu is really such a super food! My favourite recipe is the first one you showed, fried tofu is always so great! ☺️ thanks for sharing, love from Singapore!
You need to write your own recipe book. So many yummy ideas, it's hard to keep up. So far I know I need to buy Cooking Sake, Mirin,,, and lots of tofu.. I've got to write all this down..My boyfriend and I are anxious to try some of these recipes. Thanks again for the delicious cooking demonstrations. Please keep the videos coming.🥰❤️🙏
For the most part I learned two things: 1. You can actually microwave Tofu to get the moisture out much faster. Never came to my mind to try this. 2. Starch is an absolute game changer for cooking with Tofu. Thank you! I always wanted to use Tofu more. Mostly as a substitute for meat but dishes like the mashed Tofu salad look amazing aswell.
Please do a video on common ingredients you use and how to store them and their shelf life. I never know whether my mirin, ect is bad or good …. refrigerated or not, ect. Common knowledge about your ingredients in Japan is totally unknown to me. 🤷♀️
i tried making the teriyaki tofu with nori today and it came out better than expected! probably should’ve used more corn starch, but it was delicious nonetheless. i’ve been watching your videos for a while now and trying new recipes, the miso ramen has been my top favorite !! keep up the great work and take care
So far I haven’t been able to eat tofu. I had the same problem with kimchi until I found out that I could sauté it and add sugar (just a little!) and I could finally eat it. I’m hoping I can do the same with tofu with one of these recipes!
As a vegetarian, I really missed oyakodon... but the tofu and egg recipe was absolutely delicious! It totally satisfied my craving. I will be making this dish more in the future, I just know it! Thank you, and p.s. I love all your videos!!
When you microwave the tofu, what power setting do you use? When i tried it, it just heated up and started exploding 😭 but the weight on top method worked very well, and the recipes were delicious!

I'm sorry to hear that. I don't pay much attention which power I use, but I usually do it at 500-600w :)
@@yuka_jp that explains it, mine defaults to 800w :D thank you for the reply!

Hi thank you for the comment :) We usually don't use nori for the dish but I think it goes well✨
Oh, the tofu scramble looks so good! All of them look yummy, but I'm partial to tofu scramble. :)
Hello! Thank you for the recipes, I plan to try some of them. I would like to ask, 1 package is how much in g/kg? Looks like 1 kg, but I may be wrong
YUM! Arigato 🙏🏽🍽👏🏽
great videos! one question: if i don't have a microwave, how do I drain it out? thanks
Wrap tofu with kitchen towel and pot some heavy stuff over it. Wait for 30-60 minutes :) Thank you for asking!
@@yuka_jp truly thanks! greetings from Argentina!
Your videos are greatly missed 🥹 I hope everything is okay on your end
guide to japanese food:
Mirin
Soy Sauce
Sugar
Water
Dashi (optional)
Can i sub shaoxing wine for cooking sake??
You can but the dish would be a little bit bitter. If you have mirin, it’s better to use mirin as a substitute! 😊
hi hii tofu ✨✨✨💪🌻🤗
