I Tried both products. Cerave was not good at all made me break out even more. The Panoxyl 4% was the winner for me. Made my skin feel soft and healing
I'm glad the PanOxyl 4% worked out for you! :) I've heard some people also getting irritation and breakouts from Cerave which is interesting. Everyone's skin is so different but PanOxyl is also a favorite of mine! I prefer the 10% because my acne is stubborn lol
I tried couple of benzoyl peroxide washes and my skin loves panoxyl more than others. Other brands are so drying even just using them 2-3x a week. I use the 10% one and it isn't even as drying as other brands' 4%
@@cloudyair7395 I recommend the PanOxyl 10% for stubborn acne or oily skin :) The 4% has a lower risk of irritation though, so it really depends on your skin type and needs. Hope this helps!
Hey Sarah I have some blind pimples that arnt very big but I don’t like the say they look I have been using the cerave 4% for almost 4 months and I don’t get many whiteheads anymore but I still get blind pimples should I use panoxyl for them?
Hello! ☺ If the Cerave isn't working for the stubborn acne, I'd recommend maybe switching to PanOxyl to see if that makes a difference. If that PanOxyl 4% doesn't work after a few weeks of trying it, then maybe try the PanOxyl 10% if your still can handle it. Adjust your skincare depending how your skin reacts. Hope this helps!
I have dry sensitive skin and I both have 10% and 4% panoxyl. I’m recently experiencing ance on forehead..I’m 14 yrs old and my parents never ever had gotton ance and I’ve been eating healthy. So I’m wondering which would help my forehead ance? 4% or 10%
Hello! ☺I would definitely recommend trying the 4% first since you have dry and sensitive skin. Try it a few times a week and see how your skin feels after a couple weeks of using it. If you don't see the results you're looking for try the 10% instead a couple times a week and see how your skin reacts. Hope this helps!
@@sobakakustovsky3909 True, that may be so! I know for me personally I am also sensitive to niacinamide depending on the formulation which is why I think it also ended up not working for me.
Hey Sarah, so I was thinking about using the panoxyl, should I start with 10% then go to 4%? I started with the cerave about a week ago but I’m not seeing much of a change. I get a lot of hormonal acne near the sides of my jawline and want to get rid of them.
Also I saw you mentioned after clearing and maintaining your skin that you don’t wash your face in the morning? Do you just rinse your face and apply sunscreen in the morning? I would love to know. I’m normally oily.
Hello! 😄 I would recommend starting with the PanOxyl 4%, try that for a week or 2, and if you don't see much of a difference then try the 10% to see how your skin reacts. I personally love the 10% and use it almost everyday to keep my skin clear! On the days when my skin is sensitive then I opt for a gentle cleanser and moisturize right after to give my skin a break. Hope this helps!!
Correct! I only rinse my face with cold water in the morning since my skin is sensitive and has reacted better to me not cleansing twice a day. I rinse my skin with cold water, moisturize, then apply sunscreen in the morning ☺ Thanks for your questions!!!@@athalielafaille1599
@@SimplebySarah Thank you so much, you are truly so amazing for spending the time to respond and explain. I have been using the 4% for 2 days straight now (only at night) and I definitely see a difference happening. It’s been drying out the pores and now my face looks flat and glowy. I’m still working on the hyperpigmentation with Niaminacide and sunscreen. I started only moisturizing and sunscreening my face in the morning and it definitely works. I don’t wear make up on a daily, but do you have an alternative face cleanser to use at night when I’m not needing to use the panoxyl. I tried cerave but it doesn’t do much for me. I heard Vanicream is good for sensitive skin, but I was wondering if there was one you would recommend?
Awww thank you so much for taking the time to watch my video and ask questions! @@athalielafaille1599 🥰 I personally love the Cerave Hydrating facial cleanser! It's so gentle with the ceramides and it doesn't strip my skin at all. I also love La Roche posay for the days my skin is very sensitive. Their Hydrating gentle cleanser also contains ceramides!
Hello! :) I wouldn't recommend using both cleansers in the same day and instead would opt for alternating the cleansers on different days to avoid possible irritation. So one day you can use the Cerave cleanser and another day you can use PanOxyl if you feel your skin benefits from using both. Everyone's skin is different though so I always recommend adjusting your skincare routine depending on how your skin is feeling/looking! I hope this helps
Hello! 😄 That's a tough call, because both cleansers work great at controlling oil. In terms of acne, it really depends on your skin. I know for me, the Cerave one caused more bumps and acne compared to the PanOxyl. I say try one product at a time for a week and see how your skin reacts and then if it doesn't work to try the other product. Hope this helps!
Honestly, for any hormonal breakouts I have alongside any cystic acne, the PanOxyl 10% cleanser does the best job for me. That's just me though, but I didn't see as great of results using the Cerave one :(
@@Mokawoo PanOxyl 10% for sure :) you can start with the PanOyl 4% first to see if it treats the cystic acne and then if you feel it's not doing much, move up to the 10% cleanser. Hope this helps
Yes! I would definitely recommend always moisturizing after cleansing your skin to keep your barrier in tact, and also to ensure you reduce the risk of your skin being dehydrated or having water loss. :)
Hello! :) I would not recommend using both at the same time since that could be potentially irritating to your skin. I would instead recommend that you alternate days using either cleanser, just to see which one works better for your skin and then adjust your skincare routine from there. I think the best route is to experiment and adjust your routine from there. I hope this helps!

@@kaizer5795 It depends on your skin type :) but I would typically stick to a gentle cleanser in the AM if you must cleanse twice a day, so yes I do feel there is that possibility of irritation based on how sensitive your skin is.
