In my personal experience, if you don’t want irritation with these acne treatments, a wash is the best way to go to. I’ve been using salicylic acid in a cleanser and I don’t have any irritation, dryness, or flaking like I did before when I was using a topical treatment of salicylic acid.

Here to say that I struggled with cystic breakouts for a whole ass decade, and then after I watched this video last year I adopted the benzoyl peroxide morning / salicylic acid evening routine and my skin has been totally clear ever since. No breakouts, even under a mask 8 hours a day. Bless you Hyram 😭
For those asking: I use Panoxyl in the morning, and a store-brand salicylic acid wash in the evenings (2% salicylic acid). It's a harsh treatment cycle so I imagine it would be hard on a lot of people's skin, but for me I havent dealt with cystic acne ever since. I'm religious about thoroughly moisturizing, but when my skin gets a little irritated I swap one cleanser out for Simple's micellar gel wash. I have to keep this up in order for my skin to stay clear, but for some people this might work for short periods just to get skin back on track!
@@winnie8623 it was a couple of weeks, maybe up to 8, before the acne truly cleared up, but I noticed new spots healing faster than before within 4 or so. I kept using a salicylic spot treatment after the evening wash in the meantime to target to worst of it, but now I havent needed that in a while. Acne is rare for me these days, I cant believe it!
I tried the salicylic acid cleanser by the Inkey list and I noticed it helped a little with my acne but it wasn't enough, so I switched to Panoxyl. The 10% benzoyl peroxide cleanser by Panoxyl completely cleared up my skin. I leave it on for 10 minutes and then rinse. I do it every morning and every night. I also use niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, moisturizer and sunscreen. My skin has never looked this good!!!!
Ladies, go get yourself wild chaga elixir and you'll be shocked by the results. Not only that it cleans your skin, but also it makes your hair shiny and healthy within a week! My friend's been using it since September and her skin is glowing, her hair is so shiny, and what's even more crazy it's that her eyes became even bluer. It's totally insane what wild chaga does to you. She also said that her energy is over the roof, never been so focused and motivated, hasn't been sick since she started drinking it. She convinced even me, even tho i don't have any skin issues but i have to feel those other benefits, so i ordered it few days ago. Trust me on this ladies, it will be your best investment ever. One more thing, make sure you buy the real organic wild chaga elixir, not some modified crap.
I use both. Benzoyl peroxide is a life saver when I breakout. Within a week of using it once a day at night as a spot treatment, the pimple dries up and loses its red colour and bump. Salicylic acid gets rid of blackheads on my nose and smooths rough texture. Works well with each other as once the pimple is dried up, the salicylic acid exfoliates the skin and helps get rid of any post acne scars
I have been going to a dermatologist to treat my hormonal acne, but my skin care routine is all your recommendations. Yesterday when she saw me she said “your skin looks good! Are you using a foundation?” And I wasn’t. That’s how good my skin looks thanks to you ❤️❤️❤️
@@xursssulaxx I’m takin Spiro medicine, it’s originally used for treating blood pressure and some kidney issues, but it also helps to slow down the androgen hormone, which what causes hormonal acne in women. But it has to be taken under the doctor observation because it could affect blood pressure & kidney function. I made a blood test before the treatment, for hormones levels and thyroid, all were at normal levels, that’s why I didn’t need any medicine to treat them. But other people might be different, they might need to balance all of their body’s hormones or their thyroid.
@@mahaabdelkhalek2552 oh yeah that’s what i’m taking rn too. I take 50mg twice a day. But i think i need to up my dose cause my acne still hasn’t completely gone away :/ i still get moderate cystic acne and i eat healthy and basically only drink water. Idk what’s wrong with me
@@xursssulaxx oh that’s like 100 mg per day. How long have you been taking it? For me I only take 25 mg per day, my BP couldn’t handle 50 mg. I saw improvement right away, but I know that some people need months to see an improvement, it’s a treatment that takes months anyway to be fully effective. I think if your body’s hormones and thyroid are fine, it’s better to stick to this medicine because it has the least side effects. I once read a blog by a woman who said that she was taking that medicine and didn’t see any improvement for 6 months and then suddenly her skin just cleared out. So don’t lose hope!!
He ain’t lying when he says benzoyl peroxide stains clothes and pillow cases. I had TERRIBLE acne growing up, and my pediatrician at the time prescribed me Benzaclin. It worked beautifully, but oh my gosh did it stain. I had acne on my chest and back as well, so benzaclin was applied in those areas as well. Every single tshirt I slept in looked bleached. But damn did it work for my skin personally. It was a *bit irritating, mainly just making my face red and dry. Looking back, with it being a leave on treatment it doesn’t surprise me. I was was the pre teen with terrible cystic and pustule acne that triple used every product that I could get my hand on. I was desperate for relief from my acne.
hi i have a question, did you also have back acne scarring and if so what products worked well. I've had acne for 5+ years now and only my face has improved :(
I’ve used a benzoyl peroxide spot treatment for years since my dermatologist recommended it and some sheet sets or towel sets are benzoyl peroxide resistant so they don’t stain when you get that on them! It’s so nice and honestly a game changer bc so many people don’t realize that it can bleach/stain clothes so easily
@@acyme the BPO I use is overnight spot treatment and it works wonders. The clean and clear line has two kinds I believe, one that is 5% BP and one that is 10% BP. Try the lower concentrated one first to see if it’s okay with your skin. Then go higher if you need! Personally I like the spot treatment more than just a wash off BPO cleanser.
y’all i just wanna brag for a minute about the fact that i FINALLY got my boyfriend on a consistent skin care routine after talking about it and trying to secretly wedge skin care into his mind for MONTHS. it’s all thanks to you hyram i love you king 💕😌
Yayy congratulations girl. But stay cautious cuz once he gets addicted, hell steal your products. Mine steals everything I use. We both have oily skin so products are same but he never buys his ones cuz he pours my products in his bottles. 😳🙁
Bet money by next year or end of this year...he will! He's the Brad Mondo of skincare and Brad finally got his own line of hair products. I can't wait to try Hyrams brand when it launches 😍
I use both. I really started using benzoyl peroxide when the pandemic started because of masks and the bacterial growth from having to wear one all day at work. It has helped my skin SO MUCH. I really hate how it stains fabric though so I wear ruined shirts while using it. I use a non-treatment cleanser in the morning (like CeraVe Foaming Cleanser or Krave Beauty Matcha Hemp Cleanser), and the CeraVe benzoyl peroxide wash at night both times I apply The Ordinary Niacinamide Zinc solution before using the CeraVe lotion. Then Wednesday nights I use a non-treatment cleanser at night and apply the Paula's Choice BHA Solution. and then Sunday nights I once again use a non-treatment cleanser before using The Ordinary Peel.
THANK YOU for this video Hyram!! I was using Paula's Choice 2% BHA Solution nightly and saw no results. My skin still flared up, and it has looked angrier than ever. After watching, I went straight to Walmart and picked up CeraVe Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser With 4% Benzoyl Peroxide and already can notice such a difference in my skin! I'm over the moon, you helped me SO much.
My dermatologist said that for black people she typically recommends SA because it's not uncommon for BP to cause contact dermatitis in darker skin. I'm light skinned but black and BP gives me a terrible rash every time I use it. My derm is also black. I tried researching it but I haven't found a lot of information.
I am super white but i also can't use BP. I used it a few times but i kept getting rashes and irritation from it so i went back to SA. So i dont think it is a skin colour thing.
I'm black, I use benzoyl peroxide each day and night, it's been okay so far but the salicylic acid made my skin worse :( BP hasn't been a problem for me before tho, I just stopped using for some reason I can't remember 😅
Another alternative is Azelaic Acid! This ingredient has been the most useful for my acne, especially when paired with glycolic acid. It is antimicrobial and helps with pigmentation.
I got that CeraVe cleanser on sale for $6 at a random Target 😭 So far my experience has been much better than acne treatments I tried as a teenager. Hoping the experience will continue to be good and help my acne prone skin down the line.
@shahul yep it's so annoying once my skin finally gets better and I start feeling better about my self it all just collapses and it gets bad and I just feel horrible
I've tried both SA and BP. BP is the only thing that keeps my acne at bay (except for those pesky monthly hormonal breakouts, but they're gone quicker with BP). I use both a cleanser and leave on spot treatment with BP. Yes, I've bleached plenty of pillow cases, towels, and tshirts using it, but to me, it was worth it because my skin has never been so clear. It didn't drive me away from the products, I just had to figure out how to get minimal bleaching (specifically with the leave on treatment. The cleansers are more forgiving). As long as you wash your hands after applying it, you shouldn't bleach what you touch. Set aside certain towels that you only use during your skincare routine just in case, as well. Also, white pillowcases and towels are a life saver! Don't have to worry about ruining those. 😊 I also always bring a small towel and my own pillow with me whenever I travel so I don't accidentally ruin someone else's stuff (because that's happened before.. that's actually how I figured out it bleaches stuff. Whoops.) And if you don't want to ruin the necks of your tshirts while cleansing in the sink, tuck a hand towel in your shirt like a bib to catch anything that runs down your neck. Works like a charm. Just make sure if you're using a leave on treatment, you pull the neck away from your face as you're taking it off or putting it on. Hopefully this helps for those of you struggling with the bleaching issue!
My dermatologist suggested nuetrogena clear pore mask/cleanser and it changed my life in a month. Best switch I ever made but becareful about the bleaching effect. Worth it for clear skin
@@aabadaoui thank you for the recommendation! I’m tempted to try it, but I’m latina and my skin is brown. I don’t want my skin to appeared bleached. I’d rather be brown with acne ❤️
About two years ago I had purchased the Neutrogena Rapid Clear Stubborn acne wash. Oh man, that stuff destoyed my face. It was too much BP. I had to stop using it. My face has improved so much after getting off birth control, but that stuff was super intense.

Everyone always recommended salicylic acid to me for my cystic acne. Never worked. Finally saw a dermatologist who recommended benzoyl peroxide. Worked like a charm. Warning, it does stain clothes, like mentioned, so I use it in the shower. Good luck everyone!
i used the cerave sa renewing clenser and i feel like it doesn’t really do anything! but when i use the benzoyl peroxide clenser i see a big difference
Esha Salavakam The PanOxyl acne wash is good and I love the Benzagel spot treatment 5%! But the best for cystic acne has to be differin or a medication prescribed by a dermatologist (antibiotics or accutane) :)
Awesome info here. Everyone’s skin is different. My friend swears by salicylic acid. For me, that ingredient didn’t work and instead, benzoyl peroxide has been my go-to. It’s the one ingredient that really works for me!
Benzoyl peroxide makes my face dry, flaking and extremely itchy and irritated. It works better than salicylic acid, but it's almost unbearable to leave it on as a spot treatment. Salicylic acid on the other hand doesn't dry out or irritate my skin, so my preferred method has always been to cleanse with benzoly peroxide and spot treat with salicylic acid.
You literally solved my problem, i have not seen this problem with most of the people so i was worried how should i use benzoyl peroxide. Can you recommend the cleanser and spot treatment you are using?
yes !!! i have the same case as u !! i have sensitive acne prone skin and its oily. benzoyl peroxide works so much better than salicylic acid for me but it makes my skin so dry, red, and itchy. does benzoyl peroxide cleanser still irritate ur skin ?? if no then i rlly wanna try switching it
@@clarbyy In my case, the benzoyl peroxide wash still does dry out my skin a bit, but it doesn't cause any redness, itchiness or irritation. The dryness can be completely countered with a good moisturizer. I recommend CeraVe Moisturizing Cream.
I can’t believe it. I literally just bought a salicylic acid product and was searching if Hyram has made a video on this topic. Then I heard he said this is the first video of 2021. So happy 😁
Benzoyl Peroxide will literally knock the pimples right off your face 🙌🏽🙌🏽 salicylic acid sucks. It doesn’t do anything for my skin. And if I use it, the acne seems to attack my face 10x more. And I’ve never had an issue with BP bleaching any of my towels or pillowcases 🤷🏽♀️
In my opinion, The cerave acne cleanser is better than panoxyl because 4% is just as effective as 10%. Also the cerave one feels soothing and hydrating. My skin never experienced irritation or dryness with it. Which is crazy since benzoly peroxide is very drying and irritating.
BP also bleaches hair. Ask my eyebrows how I know. BUT the topical cream my Dr prescribed me is the only thing that’s helped my skin over the last few months.
Lol a few months ago I had a really big and inflamed zit in my eyebrow so I dabbed a BP spot treatment on it. It worked but now I have a blonde spot on my eyebrow 😂
It's curious but I have been using high concentration BP for ten years and it has bleached everything but never by hair. I wonder why it bleaches some people's hair and some not
I have to use leave on benzoyl peroxide daily for now. I had a big big hormonal outbreak, it is the only way to get it under control. I just use the pharmacy one. I use it in the day, as too not getting all my pillow cases bleached. I just use the 5%. It does make my skin a bit dry, so I have to moisturise well. Salicylic acid doesn’t really do a lot for me, guess I need to smell like a swimming pool to get my skin clear 😅
I was using one of the other cerave products and it absolutely sucked and didn’t help my skin so I got the cerave benzoyl peroxide cleanser you showed and it cleared my face in literally like 3 days it’s amazing.
Hyram, I just adore you for so many different reasons. I watched a video the other day where you expressed you struggle with low self esteem and that makes me so sad. Because you’re such a beautiful person inside and out. I hope you one day will love yourself as much as you are loved by the world!!❤️❤️😻
Two things about BP: 1. You don't need a higher percentage... Lower percentages like 4% are equally as effective as something like 10%, but less irritating. 2. BP works fast, that's why it can also be effective in a face wash. I just put on BP cream in the morning and leave on between 2 minutes and an hour, and then use my face wash.
Benzoyl Peroxide (Basiron), was my go-to when I had acne. It's very easy to get in Scandinavia, and cheap. I did go a little overboard with it so I had comments about why I had this white cast on my face 😂 And I did end up discoloring all my towels when I used them. But it did such great stuff for my acne, so I have no regrets!
Hello 👋 I had cystic acne and this was what I did: 1.) drank FRESH ginger and turmeric tea (1liter) per day 2.) cut out dairy These first two steps alone made my acne “normal” and as long as I kept up with it, I didn’t get a cyst! 3.) I then tried curology, and still use it about two years later. The curology kept my “normal” acne under control and eventually I stopped drinking the tea…no acne still (: however, I did spend a lot of time trying to eat healthier as well. Now I don’t eat as healthy, and sometimes have dairy if it’s in pasteries. I haven’t had a cyst since Now my skincare routine also includes salicylic acid with the curology. P.S. my curology formula has azelaic acid, clindamycin, and niacinimide. I do believe that the first two steps really got it to where it was manageable before I tried curology, but maybe all 3 steps together would work well for you! Hang in there (:

@@xeronify3680 yes! I tried the cerve acne foam cream cleanser. It definitely pulls all my acne to the surface after use but if I keep using it my face is clear! It’s still in my shower, I only use it 2ish times a week because it does tend to make my skin a little dry
If you have acne and oily skin and break outs and scarring do this: AM: 1- cerave foaming cleanser. 2- differin gel (adapalene retinoid) 3- cerave moistrizing cream 4- spot treatment on pimples only, could be salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide … PM: 1- any hydrating or mild cleanser. 2- vitamin c serum (preferably a gel or a formula with high absorption) 3- any light moistrizer. 4- SPF 50! Once a week or once in two weeks: - 0.5mm derma roller with vitamin c serum. (Read online how to do it correctly etc….) DO NoT do this step if you have active acne only if your breakouts stops! This is only for scarring and for smaller pores and overall better skin tone. This really changed my skin I rarely breakout but you must test some products to decide which formulas work best for your skin.
I love the CeraVe benzoyl peroxide cleanser. I have normal to dry skin with occasional breakouts. It’s the perfect amount to keep what little acne I do get away for the most part and my face doesn’t feel stripped or dry afterwards. I really recommend it
My skin tolerates salicylic acid very good, it helps with my oil production and blackheads/whiteheads but I feel it doesn't help very much with the general pimples that are slightly larger on my face. Benzoyl peroxide does help me with that even though it can be more sensitising at times, for me it gives more results at the moment:)
I know for me it's frustrating that salicylic acid help but not enough but then I use benzoyl peroxide and it's too strong and dries my skin out in a day.
never tried salicylic acid, but got prescribed strong benzoyl and adapalene treatment. Had to stop that recently after using it for a year because of winter dryness and this helped me so much with picking what to do next, thank you!
Thanks so much. I’ve recently started caring more about my skin and this video broke down everything I needed to know. This video came in clutch tysm 🙏🏻.
I needed this so bad right now. I’ve been so confused why my skin has been so dry since my dermatologist put me on a salicylic acid regimen and it’s because she recommended me to use too much. I definitely will be using less and see if my skin starts to feel better. Thank you! ❤️
@@Tay20 the dryness has definitely gone away and my acne has improved to some degree but is definitely still there. However I have hormonal acne so I don’t think it’ll ever 100% go away unless I start taking oral medication. But overall just salicylic face wash has been working!
For the uk, acnecide product’s are also good for cleaning acne it’s got different % amount of benzoyl peroxide. And it’s also a medicine. I used it when I need to get rid of a spot quickly and it works really well ❤️
Absolute “goals” that Hyram’s Curology ad played before the actual video and made me think it was the start of the video because I don’t know much about skincare/products yet. 😂💕
same! has it ever bleached your clothes? I've been using it for about a month and it never stained anything, even when I intentionally wiped some on an old t-shirt to see if it would. I'm wondering if they formulated it specifically so it doesn't bleach fabric.
@@shivani_ I have never haf any experience with it bleaching/damaging any fabric. I haven't intentionally put it on clothing, but i haven't had any issues for a two years I've been using it.

I love that you're making these products more known about and accessible.. but damn the way your videos affect inventory is INSANE. Praying I'll be able to get my fave cleanser again soon 🙏
This is the most relevant a Hyram video has been for me, timing-wise. I’ve been using the COSRX gentle SA foaming cleanser but switched to the Cereve Benz. Perox cleanser. I’ve used the Cereve SA cleanser as well
Both are amazing. Despite the staining factor of benzoyl peroxide, it works amazing for my acne. The Paulas choice bha liquid exfoliant, helps with the overall appearance of my skin.
I'm glad you brought up sulfur! I had never thought of that before but my skin was definitely clearest when I lived in an Onsen town in Japan and bathed in the sulfuric water nearly every night. I might just have to try a sulfur treatment.

I use BP and definitely reccomend it since you said you have dry skin in 99% it'll work for you bcs normally the people with dry skin match nicely with BP. Let us know how it goes. Plus I use the one my doctor prescribed the one off the shelves so I reccomend you book an appointment and get the real thing.
I have really oily skin and I used to have really bad acne. I use both of them, but not a high percentage. I do use salicilic acid twice a day and benzolyn peroxcide every other day. i use a wonderful combination of both! 4% benzoyl peroxide wash and .5% salicylic acid moisturizer (obviously amongst other things). this combo is great for very acne prone normal-combination skin. saved my life!!!
I have used salicylic acid in face washes, leave on treatments and even direct 2% SA..i mean it works for a while but then it stops working (happens w every other product btw) switched to BP 2.5, hopefully it works for real this time.🤞❤️ Wishing everyone good health and clear skin✨🌸
Excellent video Hyram on a topic that can be extremely confusing for consumers. BPO hit acne more at the source and is more effective, but has its limitations due to bleaching and potential irritation. However, BPO only needs to sit on the skin for 30-60 seconds to kill acne causing bacteria so consumers should focus on short contact washes (like Panoxyl) which help limit irritation and potential bleaching effect since its washed off.

Everyone will get it in their lifetime some worser than others but it doesn’t effect how beautiful yall are🥲. Praying for clean skin but remember yall perfect. Happy thanksgiving

Here to say that I struggled with cystic breakouts for a whole ass decade, and then after I watched this video last year I adopted the benzoyl peroxide morning / salicylic acid evening routine and my skin has been totally clear ever since. No breakouts, even under a mask 8 hours a day. Bless you Hyram 😭
omg I'm going to try this routine too, how quickly did you see results?
Which products?
which products did you use?

Hi, so is it better to use BPO as a wash of or as a leave on?
@@acyme the BPO I use is overnight spot treatment and it works wonders. The clean and clear line has two kinds I believe, one that is 5% BP and one that is 10% BP. May be you overused it. Same happened to me but then I reduced the frequency.
It didnt work for me

Salicylic acid has not done anything for me, I’m so glad you made this video. I thought I was just using it wrong.

I just started with benzyl and I saw how it knock my pimples off immediately amazing
Really well pair it with adapelene gel and boom 💥
I wonder why it bleaches some people's hair and some not
Thankfully when I used a 10% BP cleanser from my dermatologist I didn't get that issue
I also used a topical benzoyl peroxide cream from my Dr and it bleached the hell out of my hairline and towels
@@ingupin maybe hair color has something to do with it, darker hair does not bleach as easily

Two things about BP: 1. You don't need a higher percentage... Lower percentages like 4% are equally as effective as something like 10%, but less irritating. 2. Hello 👋 I had cystic acne and this was what I did:
1.) drank FRESH ginger and turmeric tea (1liter) per day
2.) cut out dairy
These first two steps alone made my acne “normal” and as long as I kept up with it, I didn’t get a cyst!
I haven’t had a cyst since
Now my skincare routine also includes salicylic acid with the curology.
P.S. my curology formula has azelaic acid, clindamycin, and niacinimide.

If you have acne and oily skin and break outs and scarring do this:
AM:
1- cerave foaming cleanser.
2- differin gel (adapalene retinoid)
3- cerave moistrizing cream
4- spot treatment on pimples only, could be salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide …
PM:
1- any hydrating or mild cleanser.
2- vitamin c serum (preferably a gel or a formula with high absorption)
3- any light moistrizer.
4- SPF 50!
Once a week or once in two weeks:
- 0.5mm derma roller with vitamin c serum.

I use the panoxyle 1x every 3 weeks and my skin doesn’t get breakouts anymore unless pms ones
Pms breakouts are a real bitch :(
So would you recommend this as a treatment every 3 weeks apposed to every night?
@@laurynwalker5106 yeah they really are !
@@humanii9037 thanks for the advise!
Same panoxyl saved my skin still use it every few nights
never tried salicylic acid, but got prescribed strong benzoyl and adapalene treatment.
Thank you! ❤️
How’s it goin now?
@@Tay20 the dryness has definitely gone away and my acne has improved to some degree but is definitely still there. However I have hormonal acne so I don’t think it’ll ever 100% go away unless I start taking oral medication. But overall just salicylic face wash has been working!
My biggest acne mistake was not using moisturizer. I don’t know why no one told you you should use moisturizer like 5-10 years ago
I use a benzoyl peroxide leave-on product from Paula's choice. It definitely is the product that deals with my acne best.
same! has it ever bleached your clothes? I've been using it for about a month and it never stained anything, even when I intentionally wiped some on an old t-shirt to see if it would. I'm wondering if they formulated it specifically so it doesn't bleach fabric.
@@shivani_ I have never haf any experience with it bleaching/damaging any fabric. I haven't intentionally put it on clothing, but i haven't had any issues for a two years I've been using it.
Hyram! 😭 I have been using the benzoyl peroxide CeraVe Acne foaming cleanser for YEARS - I always wondered why it hadn't been mentioned but guessed that benzoyl wasn't the saving grace for everyone like it was for me. I have a subscription on amazon so that i get a new one every 2 months... and now for the first time ever its out of stock since this video.
I’ve used the Cereve SA cleanser as well
How is cerave sa cleanser ?
Both are amazing. Despite the staining factor of benzoyl peroxide, it works amazing for my acne. The Paulas choice bha liquid exfoliant, helps with the overall appearance of my skin.
i dont get it , what does it stain?
@@crustycrabburgers8608 sorry, it bleaches clothes and hair
I'm glad you brought up sulfur! I had never thought of that before but my skin was definitely clearest when I lived in an Onsen town in Japan and bathed in the sulfuric water nearly every night. I might just have to try a sulfur treatment.
everyone : OMG IM SO EARLY
me : does anyone else have an amazon cart full of products for skincare and hair care but is too broke to get them so they just keep it all in their cart for years and have fun doing it? no? just me... ok
👁👄👁
um- i just reached the maximum amount of products in my amazon cart (50) looks like some stuff is going in saved for later or getting deleted🤣🤣
That's so funny!
Ayyyee that’s me 🙋🏾♀️, but with Target or Ulta Beauty
Not cart but wishlist. For cleanser, toner, essence, sheet masks, moisturisers, haircare, lip balms, dog foods. I have LOADS of products there.
OMG DONT CALL ME OUT LIKE THAT
I AM LITERALLY PUTTING THESE PRODUCTS IN MY AMAZON CART SIDE BY SIDE LOWKEY TOO BROKE TO BE ABLE TO BUY EM LIKE IN YEARS LMAO
I have acne but dry skin. I’ve always used SA since it’s deemed as a miracle ingredient but I feel it doesn’t work for me and just strips my skin. So I’m going to try a BP cleanser, hope it helps!
salicylic acid isn't that effective for moderate acne
benzoyl is great
you can try niacinamide, zinc oxide, azelaic acid and retinol too
make sure to use good moisturizer, first aid beauty has good moisturizers
I use BP and definitely reccomend it since you said you have dry skin in 99% it'll work for you bcs normally the people with dry skin match nicely with BP. Let us know how it goes. Plus I use the one my doctor prescribed the one off the shelves so I reccomend you book an appointment and get the real thing.
Make sure to have a hydrating moisturizer
how did it work out for you?
I have really oily skin and I used to have really bad acne. I use both of them, but not a high percentage. I do use salicilic acid twice a day and benzolyn peroxcide every other day. ( and i just use normal cleanser & moisturiser + niacinemide) And it really works for me, (I almost don’t have any acne anymore!!) I think I am going to try that product from the ordinary tho :)
i meant inkey list lol sorry
Hyram I bought the Paulas Choise BHA thanks to your recommendation and its the first time in 9 years that my forehead acne is gone😭😭😭😭thank you SOOO MUCH!!!!!!
How long did it take to results? I have forehead acne and benzoyl peroxide didnt help.
@@giannalopez2080 i saw results after the 5th use :)
But it's different for everyone and keep in mind that your skin will start purging at first and then clean up! I used it like this:
1st month: once a week at night
2nd month:2 times a week at night
3rd month: every 2 days at night
Using it 2x a day was too harsh for my skin, that's why I only like to use it in my nighttime routine
i use a wonderful combination of both! 4% benzoyl peroxide wash and .5% salicylic acid moisturizer (obviously amongst other things). this combo is great for very acne prone normal-combination skin. saved my life!!!
I used salicylic 3.3% wash and cream benzac 5% 🤣🤣👍👍 and great you have to use both for head acne and unhead acne
I wonder if i can use both wash cleansing instead of cream, it's annoying i want easy, fast and effective👍
Can you explain which product you used?
I have used salicylic acid in face washes, leave on treatments and even direct 2% SA..i mean it works for a while but then it stops working (happens w every other product btw) switched to BP 2.5, hopefully it works for real this time.🤞❤️ Wishing everyone good health and clear skin✨🌸
How the BPO work on your skin till today?

I would love to see you react to Jeffree stars makeup. He says he’s the “king “ of skin care so it would be fun to see how good he actually is
its probably all tacha, so not very interesting....
Sofia van Dijk facts
Benzoyl peroxide used to dry out my skin and make it itchy when I first tried it years ago so I tried different salicylic acid treatments for many more years which didn’t help. Went back to benzoyl peroxide to try it out again and powered through the dry skin period and haven’t had cystic acne since! Really wish I kept going with benzoyl peroxide back then bc it could’ve prevented a lot of scarring :/
Paulas choice is great!! You notice results very quickly, it cleared up the dark spots on my face.
to my new pimples... get ready hyram is here to ruin u!!
That’s why benzoyl peroxide bleached my carpet and turned orange when I accidentally spilled the spot treatment.
wow
Is because its a peroxide, is like bleaching your hair
