This is the best tutorial for the stitch I’ve seen. I was having trouble with the start and end stitches.and you made it so clear. Thank you

I love this beautiful simple stitch. I am going to make a lap blanket for a friend.. 40 x 50 or so.. How much yarn should I get?

Hi there! Thanks so much for your kind comment. :) The amount of yarn needed is hard to say and depends a lot on your tension and the weight of yarn you choose. I made a 9 inch by 9 inch square using medium acrylic yarn for an afghan made of squares with this stitch pattern. It used approximately 1.5 ounces or 80 yards of yarn. So, doing some basic math based off of that pattern's yarn usage, I'd guesstimate you'd need between 900 to 1000 yards to complete it. That could be more or less than necessary, but should give you a good starting point!

Thanks for your reply. I'm making a bedspread from your video! I know it's going to take time but that's ok. As I'm setting here working on this I began thinking about the border...... Well here's the thing I want to use the even moss stitch for the border, ( have you even tried that ) what do you think

A bedspread would be amazing! Wow, when it's finished I would love to see it. ♡ I think using this stitch for the border could be quite interesting and give a lot of texture interest. I haven't used it as a border before but this has definitely given me some ideas! 😉 I would probably start with one round of single crochets just to clean everything up and then use the stitch from there. You'd want to make sure you have an odd amount of stitches on each side for the stitch to work properly. I would probably do 1 single crochet, 2 chains and 1 single crochet in each corner, so they stay even. 😊🥰
