Had forgotten how to do the moss stitch, even though last year I made a beautiful lap throw with it! So I wanted to refresh my memory by checking out a tutorial. I went through three tutorials, each with their own take and in each one I found something confusing, not well explained, or difficult to see where they were putting in the stitches. But your tutorial is very good and I have no problems, even on the ends and beginnings of rows, which often gives me trouble.
Thank you for such clear instructions. Crochet teachers start this stitch in two different ways but yours has been the clearest and I have ended up with straight edges for the first time. A miracle! LOL
I love this. I've never done the moss stitch in crochet, only in knit. I'm going to try this in a baby blanket - baby blankets are my favourite. I love listening to you and love your energy/vibe. I'll be binge watching as I just discovered your channel today.
What the heck?! I have been having so much trouble with this stitch from other tutorials and this is so simple and finally looks correct. I was just about to give up But I found your channel and now a new subscriber. Thank you.
Could you help me? When a tension square asks for 13 stitches in 4 inches, does that mean 14 of the sc bit or does it mean 14 total stitches (so 7 SC and 7 chain)? Thank you!
Wow its funny how differently each person does the same stitch. I watched another video with completely different directions. Why is that,? Yours is easier. Yay.
I do even chain numbers and I never end with a single crochet. I start my first row like stayed in the 4th chain from hook. So at the end of the row I add an extra single crochet cause I frogged many times and still can't get it fall in the pattern. The extra single crochet doesn't really change if to much.
Hi Tara, the Hook was handmade locally by Viscount Woodturning. Unfortunately I do not believe that he sells them online although he does have an Etsy Shop (by the same name) where he can be contacted.
You are great at teaching - clear and slow, exactly what I need. I am legally blind and crocheting is doable for me if I stay patient. Many thanks!
The absolute best tutorial for this stitch. Thank you!
I've been watching moss stitch videos and frogging for two days. You're such a good teacher! I finally got it right. Thank you!

I love this stitch.
Short and sweet, to the point. Appreciate this.
Well this is a video that genuinely deserves the thumbs up. Thank you.
Going to be a bit tricky for me, but I think it would make a lovely blanket border. Have a great week!

Thank you! A great stitch because my family don't like "holes" in my throws!! 🙃
Wow so beautiful design dear
Thank you so much! My edges are now straight.
My edges are straight too
Beautiful and easy…thanks

Thank you!
Thank you
Wow this is so easy to follow. 🤩
This helped so much
Thank you
It's beautiful 😍 What yarn is that? I love the visual texture of it, the shine and it looks soft and bulky.
Good work
Thank you very much.
Thanks
i also enjoy patterns that dont have holes in the blankets
0:14 no holes yea
I can do most stitch in a triangle or diamond shape. When I try working it in a straight line the ends curl up. What to do?
I want to use this stitch in squares for a blanket - how do I begin? The stitch count??? Please & thanks 🙏🏻

Hi, what yarn did you use in this video? Thx
How do I do the tassels please?
What brand of yarn are you using? It's beautiful. 🎈
This is the Caron x Pantone by Yarnspirations :)
@@RichTexturesCrochet Thank you.
What a beautiful stitch...and will be on the lookout for that yarn 😃
Isn't this the same as the Elizabeth stitch?
Wow its funny how differently each person does the same stitch. I watched another video with completely different directions. Why is that,? Yours is easier. Yay.
What is the difference between the Granite and Moss stitches?
So, if I start with a chain of 146, how many stitches should I have in each of my rows starting with row 2? Thanks!

What size hook are you using here
A 6mm :)
@@RichTexturesCrochet thank you
Where did you get your crochet hook?

Kaylyn
But you are not doing single crochets, you are doing slip stitches
I don't get it
