    What about thoese bpa free plastic containers or it has to be glass?

    • @activeveganlife
      @activeveganlife  Рік тому +3

      If you want to preserve it right, and keep as many nutrients as possible... stick to glass jars, or bottles. I had some of those BPA-free bottles. They are usually made in China (unless stated otherwise on the bottle). And even though they are boa-free, they are still plastic. And it might alter the taste and smell of the juice.

    what are the best jars do you reccomend for ginger shots

    • @activeveganlife
      @activeveganlife  Рік тому +3

      Well, there are several options: Mason jars, weck jars, Kilner jars or flip-top bottles (swing-top bottles). I think there are some small size flip-top bottles that you could use for ginger shots. Either these are good, because they are air-tight. If you don't juice a lot of ginger at once, then go for smaller sizes, so you can fill it all the way to the top, and leave as little air as possible inside the bottle/jar

    How many days storage mixed water and orange juice

    • @activeveganlife
      @activeveganlife  11 місяців тому

      Even if it's mixed with water, I would not recommend storing it for more than 2-3 days max. It loses its nutrients and it won't taste the same as fresh.

    What about storing in freezer?

    • @activeveganlife
      @activeveganlife  Рік тому +1

      Not recommended. It changes the taste of the juice, and by the time it thaws, it oxidates even more, and loses its properties. Check out the "don'ts of storing juices" at the 04:10 mark

    I have a powerful freezer, using glass container, filling to the top, and its going bad every time. Just today i dropped 3 liters of orange juice that i prepared yesterday night. Its not workingg. Whyy!?

      What juicer are you using? How are you sterilizing the glass container prior to using it? How is your juicer cleaned?
      Important questions, since any bacteria that gets into the juice can make it go bad.

    Does adding water to fresh juice increase the oxidation?

    • @activeveganlife
      @activeveganlife  3 місяці тому

      Hey there! Thanks for the question. A great one.
      Adding water to fresh juice can actually speed up the oxidation process.
      That's because when you add water to juice, it exposes more of the juice to oxygen, which can make it oxidize faster.
      It also dilutes the juice, which means that the concentration of antioxidants and other compounds that help prevent oxidation decreases, so the juice can oxidize more quickly.
      However, if you drink the juice immediately, then there is no need to worry about oxidation. So if you do add water, then it is best to consume it immediately.
      If you plan to store it for a day or two, then jsut follow the tips in the video. And you can add water after you take it out from the fridge, right before you drink it
