Hello dear, I just came across your account today. I've been considering starting a juice business. I normally make my own home smoothie consisting of garlic, ginger, lime, fresh tomorrow, pineapple, clove, and pawpaw, banana and avocado mixture. I keep it in the freeze and it last upto days. But now I'm considering preserving it like other juices that are in the supermarket for months without stress of been in the Freeze. Can kindly guide me on how I can preserve my juice for 3-6 months. Thanks so much for your beautiful contents.
thank you. as i learned in the servsafe manager program, one must use the oldest date when considering the sell by date. so if your carrots are good through tomorrow, you can't juice them and say the juice is good for 3 more days.
This is true but also you have to consider that one you juice something it does not last the same duration of time in its whole form. So for example a carrot and its whole form that is good for 3 more days might only last one day after it is juiced.
They can range a lot in price and utility. Probably best to set up a quick call to talk through it and I can offer a recommendation. Andrew@startajuicebar.com
Today was my start date of getting back to juicing and learning how to preserve it. I didn't know different kinds of juicers made a huge difference in the juice content. Thank you🙂.
Thanks Brother... Very informative video👍. I had a question: cold press machines are for juices, what about smoothies.. how to improve the shelf life of a smoothie( smoothies for fitness freaks). Can u suggest me a blender. Is vaccum blenders improves the quality and life?
I blended beets cucumbers carrots lemon and tangerines enough to fill a 67 ounce thermal container I keep it refrigerated how long is it safe to drink google said only two days but I don’t believe that anyone have any thoughts
What if I’m making fresh juices for my bar? What would preserve the shelf life? If I added a few ounces of rum would that preserve it like it does with syrups?
We just started selling a "Celery Juice Challenge"...1 bottle a day for seven days. It's only made with celery and about an ounce of lemon per bottle, using a masticating juicer. Right now, we break up production and delivery into 2 different days (4 bottles/days, then 3 bottles/days) just to make sure it's fresh for the customer. Do you think if we made them all on day 1, they would last for seven days? Hopefully this wasn't too confusing lol. We try to keep them chilled while delivering as well.
I’m struggling to get my head around the great juice debate when using a nutafaster vs cold press. Both machines shred the produce at high speed and apply force. Both machines could omit heat. Why would one have a great shelf life or be more prone to separation? The processes are actually very similar.
The processes are actually very different. It has to do with oxidation and the ways the cell walls of the fruits and vegetables are broken down. Send me an email at Andrew@startajuicebar.com and I can get you more information on this as well as help with other aspects of your business development.
Hello, I came across your channel because I am interested in starting a juice business how long do you think hibiscus juice with lemon will take and what is the alternate to sugar when it comes to sweetening the juice. I don't want to use any artificial sugar either
Hi i make smoothies and concentrated wellness shots. One thing. When boiling it it last longer. What do you think i should to preserve. How about gelly format of items like honey or date. Concentrate to have it put in water. Any idea how to preserve it? Any good in hot water canning?
Hi Andrew, Very glad to see your videos....and I was so impressed.... Here's a small doubt What could be the best temperature 🌡️ to increase the shelf life normally... Plzzzzz lemme know Actually I'm from INDIA
Is it a 3 day expiration date after it’s been bottled, stored and opened? Or as soon as it’s made because a lot of online cold press juice companies have months of inventory so it’s confusing
i have a question at the current moment my company makes wellness shots cold pressing the fruits and adding seamoss. is there anything else outside of pasteurization that can help them last longer? i currently add lemon to each batch (half a lemon per 32 oz) and vitamin c powder. do you recommend anything else?

Can you keep juice for a week?
What brand do you recommend and how much does the juicer typically cost.

I would not suggest you attempt to make them celery juice that will last 7 days. Better to keep it as fresh as you can for your customers.

Somestimes it's not about adding preservation and getting your operational pars together.

You should test it. But this kind of recipe will last a very long time.

Unfortunately this is not the kind of juicing that I have experience with. I have always focused on fresh raw juice.

If I freeze a juice in a plastic bottle, and then defrost it a month later. Will I have the same juice considering the juice will be at around 0 °F?
what do you mean will you have the same juice? Meaning will it spoil?
Good Stuff !

3 Days once the juice is made generally. The juices that you are referring to have either been HPP processed or Pasteurized.
Why do we use ginger in juice

You would need to change your recipe so there are more antibacterial ingredients.
I have 4 years experience in juice industry as quality controller and QA QC documentation.. Any vacancy suitable for me?
