When career opportunities present themselves that match your skillset, prayers of job promotion may go unanswered. Do not be dismayed when being passed over for promotion, God has something bigger in mind for you. When God doesn't answer prayer, He is preparing to bless you in ways you may never have thought about before! If you have ever been passed over for a promotion unfairly, keep trusting God. Because even when you can't see what God is doing, He is at work in your life!

I needed this, I was told I was first in line and #1 in my interview. They promoted 3 people and I still fell short...
At the age of 45 I am done trying to get promoted. My first job I had I was groomed to a lead position. The guy I was taking over his job refused to retire on time. He was 65. He did not retire till he was 72. I left by then. My second job I was asked to take a lead position with no difference in pay. I refused it and stayed there for 9 years. My current job I was told I was in the running. When I had my 90 day review. I was told he still does not know if he wants to hire a lead yet and he may hire from the outside. Then I knew it will never happen. My boss is 3 years younger then me and is a manager now. I spent 20 years trying to get promoted. I am ok with not advancing. I still have it made.
I feel ya I am kinda im that boat i jave been passed up due to politics and bad leadership i am comfortable so now i have been focused on a sideline biz that i am passionate about and fun i am learning to let go of the pie in the sky belief st my job that hard work and dedication will lead you to success
I'm a muslim and we believe all prayers are answered even if god/Allah closes 1 door closes God opens a better door for us
I know all rejection is a blessing in the end. It hurts at the time. I trust in God's plan.

I'm in a position for two years where everyone around me is getting promoted, even new people who are just coming in, I'm confused, I'm hurt, I'm angry at everything I'm praying for not getting answered, I don't know anymore.
I have dealt with this for going on 15 years st my job i only got promoted twice and have been stuck for several years being passed up even though i have 11 years experience and a degree the politics and bad leadership is what has held me back but don’t give up keep working hard and I believe God will reveal your true talents and it maybe at another company stat flexible and open minded

I feel that God had you do this video for me to hear your testimony. I'm also at a point i feel 'trapped' in a schedule and kind of work, I do not feel I have the gifting. You know what I was listening to this for 4 min waiting for a good rational thinking for the strategy then the strategy is God, no wonder way is so much bad and horrible situations around the world people expecting "God" to solve it all...
I've really taken a blow recently after 11 years of putting everything I had in me towards something, and failing. Today, actually. Just hours ago.
But this has helped me.
The best revenge is getting promoted without getting promoted at work. You have the power to lead by example regardless if you want to hear it from someone else. I'm just going to look better and put work into myself and my interest. Watch and learn anyone can get promoted you don't need a job to do it. Success isn't based just on merits, your relationships with others is more valuable then what your boss can do at work.
I have been in a company for over 10yrs and they gave the promotion to someone whose been there for 3. Many feel it falls back on my bosses being lazy and not wanting someone who will see what they are or aren't doing. I feel rejected and as if time has been wasted. I pray God reveals to me soon because I'm feeling so sad.

Thank you, this is so true! Thank you Lord God for guiding us, being the lamp to our feet and light to our path saving us from what we THINK is right at the time and showing us why it isn't. I had a similar situation, had ideal pay at a great company, this job was changing me because of the stress that came with it. I made up my mind no job is worth losing me and God's peace and direction in my life-I decide to leave that meant taking a lower paying job until something better comes around. . When I was 100% certain on this next move, God opened a door within the same company, paying more and I can get back to who God want me to be and act, I love it! We have to step out on faith knowing God ALONE supplies all of our need!

I didn't get a promotion when I thought from all conversations I had I was their number 1 candidate and I was really working hard and I thought I deserved it with my previous performances and professional experience, but I didn't get it. I was hurt. It was painful. It was frustrating. My pride was hurt because others after got it. But I trust the Lord, I know He has greater plans for my life as long I don't give up!

I agree with you Bob because sometimes we are focused on what we are not getting and don't see the good that we have. Am in that place kind of right now where others are looking at me and wondering why i am peaceful despite the situation. And i have decided infact all i see os the good that God is giving me now amd it's more than they think and know. 2 times already a promotion I lost that I truly deserved. Why they promote people that are incapable I cant find answers in my head. I'm angry and frustrated and I dont know what to do. When i watched your video it touched my heart and cried that God always has plans for us and he is just making us feel this pain to become stronger and this will be better soon. I trust you lord and I lay my life to you. Thank you and it really helped me but time heals pain one day I can forgive them.

Just had that experience today. Promotion opportunity that I am well qualified educationally and expertise wise, haven’t been offered the post. Prayed before interview that god would either open or close doors. Seems like door was closed, but I have faith that this is his plan. Still feels hard right now though.
Have been in my current position for 7 years now and have been passed over for promotion time and time again. Someone came to work in to work in my unit within 3 months she was given an promotion then got another promotion within 2 and a half years. I have since given up on a promotion as my boss bluntly stated that he is hiring someone from the out side to fill her position even though I have experience and qualifications I just like my best wasn't enough and he even told me that if I feel that way maybe I should look for something else and I will because I don't need to be treated that way.

Thank you for this! I was passed over for a leadership position that I have had previous experience in leadership/teaching but someone else got it. And you know what it hurt a little after, not sure what they saw in him, but that's okay. There is a reason why this happened and where I'm at right now, and will serve the lord where he directs me!

Thanks very much for this story. In today's world everyone must try to think outside of what is considered normal as it relates to jobs and work. If you want to work for a company, and you can get work great. However, as you explain, we never know what is around the corner, maybe a layoff. So, try not to let your current employer pigeon hole your skills. Think about how you are going to get your next job. Thanks for the video.

I got passed over. Even more, my used to be subordinate is now my manager. I got stuck in this job and no company would hire me. At this point, I really have a distrust to God thingy
I know how it feels you have the right to get angry and hurt you are only human. But God has always plans to you even the darkest time he will come to you as a light to guide you and help.

Help! I can’t sell on EBay, I even emailed then and they haven’t replied after a month! Im in the UK and when I try to list an item it just takes a long load then says ‘request timed out’ which means it isn’t even listing. I really need this help any solution will work. I’ve tried to sel on a computer and it also didn’t work
I have been passed up twice for a position I have actually done I have been blackballed for reasons not important but it isy fault for staying in a bad section of the company that has bad leaders/supervisors and an unmotivated environment

My bosses are asking me why I don't want a promotion.
Personally I refused it several times because the annual gross income is about 8000£ for a responsibility post that brings the work to home thinking about it the entire day after work or even word in your days off.
Appart from the fact that if something happens you are going to be the first one who is first questioned even if something happen because one worker under your supervision was negligent.
