Thank you for this! Changed from 13th to 9th this spring and have just painted my first units. I like that you go "zephon=the boss" when other channels have gone "meh". I really like his progress in the books, together with Nasir Ammet (who I kitbashed together using Tybalt Marr).
Really enjoyed this show and thank you for the effort in pulling it altogether. Baal Predators….are for the real Blood Angel fanboys One comment on Cerri”s list (which looked great)…it’s generally considered a little ungentlemanly if you spread out your first drop unit too much. Loose circles are fine…but conga lines are a big no-no in my humble opinion. 😊
I actually really like the idea of an Angels Tears squad decked out with two handed chainswords. They are very affordable and are very good at bullying lesser units. They hit hard, with some good buffs that all overlap. Consider them an alternative assault squad. S6, rad grenades, +1WS on the charge, pseudo +1 to wound on the charge.
Opening comment, more for giggles really… I started putting a BA force together about a year and a half ago, have climbed up to a few hundred models and I’m not kidding, and what I’ve played more often than not is Tacs w/ chain bayonets, ground praetor w/ a command squad or Ofanim, a couple vet squads, a lascannon dread, apoths for whatever makes sense, lib centuri, and some heavy weapons, whether that’s las, auto, nemesis recon, something and then maybe a squad of indomitus set for assault or range. Every time I play, I’ll rotate something around, taking an Incaendius, Tears, the Storm eagle, try drop pods, use a land raider, gave the scorpius a spin, eventually assault marines, souped up sky hunters, watered down ones, a predator and so on… personally I find it helps to focus on infantry, for sure, and with that having something that can punch into armour properly. Thematically, head canon, I was making my force based off a recon/clandestine driven Archein, who is joined by an almost stereotypical assault dominion and a dominion who specialized in heavy armour/cavalry. Its a fun force and it feels organic to me… but I digress 😂
Angel’s tears with rad grenade launchers are great anti-dreadnaught tools - they will bring power axes in assaults/despoilers down to wounding contemptors on 4’s, or 3’s for an axe of perdition. If you also bring a Typhon, you can instant death contemptors, which is always funny. Just a great enabler unit for the rest of the army to attack dreadnaughts.
Brought some power mauls from battlebling the other day to make some nulifcators - brilliant service, i asked for them in a particular way and it came as requested before the end of the week absolutely wicked
26:39 MoS can disorder this Deep strike. It follows all the rules for a deep strike assault, except the first part when the first unit comes down at a marker etc. So this RoW is like, if it gets disordered by MoS 1,2,3 roll your toast. But if you don’t get disordered it’s GG.
About red thirst wlt, isnt shooting something, nulifying the downside? Since if you shoot, you can charge only unit you charged or dosembarked from shot unit.
@@heresyhammer you actually mentioned it later on with something, But not when Talking about WLT. I think you said that when discusing day of sorrow RoW. Still lovely video!
Another nail in the coffin of using the 40k Sanguinary Guard is that their HH counterparts shouldnt be wearing the death masks as Sanguinius isn’t deqd yet…
As members of the First Sphere, alongside Angel's Tears, Crimson Paladins and Burning Eyes, the Sanguinary Guard hide their identities. The burden of their duties is borne by the primarch, as per Horus Heresy Book 8: Malevolence

I absolutely LOVE ramming! Even if it's just the rhino, it's like another use for it, besides breakikng LOS and getting troops into combat
I have been waiting for this one! Can't wait!
I agree that I'd never expect to see Crohne get a model. But he's getting updated rules in the new campaign book. Makes me feel like model incomming.

I love the fellblade, and all the Baneblade variants
Who doesn’t? Send them to me and I’ll fight them
One of the really good points of the BA unique Dreadnought is it also fills the fast attack slot rather than elite

Great Video! Thanks gents!

Glad to hear it, hope you made use of the code!
Taking raldaron with bane of traitors from the raven guard is insane! Talk about a character hunter
The solution to wanting to build every legion you talk about is to find some pour sap like Rob to do the hard part for you :D

That was my thinking. Gotta snipe out the MoS on that first turn!
Good to clarify!
brilliant episode gents
Thanks hun
34:14 the fact they get the buffs first from the beginning of next turn, at not immediately is something I see ppl play it wrong
Biomancy lib also good with crimson pals. Become the immovable object at T5.
😙👌
Only lasts for your turn which is my only problem.
Otherwise, yeah 😙👌
With the current shooting meta of the game, I wouldn't dare leave Sanguinius by himself lol

Did we not mention that? I feel like we did, but it was very early and we were very sleepy

1:36:12 Ofanim court is also a lot better
I agree. Rob may not
12:14 wont work. Page 163 main rulebook. Can’t activate jump pack in any phase part of a reaction
Yes boys 🩸🪽
Like 42: the answer
😂😂
How many legion reviews you got left to do?? Could be a new Ed out before you finish these lol
Three to go! Should be done by the end of the year
Got to give us something to do!
55:51 he’s Primarch unit type, not infantry, so it won’t work
If he’s in a mixed unit it will
@@realsniceno, it’s says “ targeting a unit composed entirely of models with the infantry unit type”

Someone buy this comment a beer! 🫡
40k Sanguinary Guard don't wear the Primarch's face. Only Dante and the Sanguinor have that honour.
Edit; grammar.
Nope, death mask are complete legit in 30k. They are mentioned in fear to tread at the begining of the book.
