Rob (and the rest of the world) thinks murderous strike doesn't auto wound. Jon still thinks it does no matter what we tell him. 2. Fatal Strike DOES NOT CONFER. The second sentence in the rule makes this VERY clear. Sorry Jon you'll need to abandon that Moritat idea. 3. Legiones Auxilia (Raven Guard) are capped at Ld10 for their buff. This is pretty poopy. In my rather large community, consensus is that mor deythan with nemesis bolters DO get 4+ rending for one turn. As the rule says, it does not change rending rules already possessed by the unit. But read the sentence before that one. The models gain the 4+ rending rule on shooting attacks IN ADDITION TO any other effects their weapons might have. This means they have multiple sources of rending that turn, and in such cases you use the better rule. That's the RAW argument. RAI... come on, they're sold with nemesis bolters but they don't benefit from their one special rule (about precision shooting)??? Moreover, it doesn't make them OP -- rather it encourages a loadout that's not the (arguably OP) popular one.
Infravisors/Prey Sight are up there with Augury Scanners for things that do just a little too much at once for their points. Ignoring Shrouding reactions is absolutely brutal
Contentiosly, I ran Mor Dethyan at Greetings with snipers in attempt to tone down my list. They were savage. Relentless is very good as noted, but the key was wound pool as 10 wounds in a squad and consistency. BS5 combined with Decapitation Strike effectively gives them all twin-linked sniper rifles against units with independent characters
In my play group, we play Murderous Strike as any successful wound of that number or greater. So Kharn into a contemptor. Murderous Strike doesn’t do anything on a wound roll of less than a 6 because the wound roll is not successful.
This appears to be the correct way to do it. Murderous Strike says that "attacks with this special rule cause Instant Death on a To Wound roll equal to or greater than the number in brackets..." and Instant Death says "if a model suffers an unsaved Wound from an attack with this special rule, it is reduced to 0 Wounds and removed as a casualty." Nothin says it automatically wounds on the Murderous Strike roll (like it does with Rending), so I'm pretty sure you still have to follow the To-Wound chart to make that successful (and unsaved) wound that causes Instant Death.

Don't get too excited guys, fatal strike only applies for MODELS that have the fatal strike rule, not the unit. The rule is basically telling you that you don't lose the rule if you have a model without it in your unit.

This is my interpretation as well. It works more like Breaching than Rending.
Rules not infront of me, but IIRC the RG Solar Aux +1 Ld specifically states it caps at Ld 10. Still cool, but alas no Ld 12 possibly...

It's possiblity ambiguous but it does say all models in the unit rather than all models with the fatal strike rule, one for an FAQ!
