Making this as you speak! I am SOOOO glad I found your channel. Can’t tell you how hard it is to find cooking channels using the Ninja Foodi in a realistic way. Thank you!!!
I'm so glad I found your video! My husband and I just got our Ninja Foodi yesterday and so I couldn't wait to cook a pot roast! Great job going through the steps with us. Easy to follow! Subscribed🙌🏽
This is the BEST recipe!!! Doug, You are my go to Ninja Foodi Guy!! I just added a little twist to it. 1 tablespoon of McCormick's gravy mix with my cornstarch mixture. Delish!!
Just got the Ninja Foodi from my hubby as an early Christmas present. Can’t wait to use it. Found your UA-cam Channel and wowzers am I glad I did. Your roast looks amazing. Going to try for sure. My mouth was watering so much, lol. Thanks for doing this video, I really learned a lot. Now to try my Ninja Foodi.
WoW, I cooked my first chuck roast in my new Foodi tonight...I did a few things a little different, when prepping my meat, and making my gravy, but OMG it was divine... I cut slits in my roast and stuff garlic chunks in there and then seasoned it with salt, pepper, and minced onion..I then of course followed your directions on browning it except, once browned, I put my roast on the rack that came with the foodi, at the lowest point. I browned my onion chunks then put 2 cups of broth and cooked for 1 hr...opened it and took the roast out, which was so tender and juicy...I added carrots and potatoes and cooked for 10 minutes in juices as you did...I then removed veggies and added a little slurry to gravy and more salt and pepper. Once it thickened some I added a can of cream of mushroom soup to my gravy and OMG it was great...BTW tysm for such a great video, it truly helped me out. Have a blessed day.
Doug, I just love coming to your videos. You are the real deal, down to earth, I like that! We could totally be pals!!! Thank you for taking the time and effort to share with us all. If you are ever near Rockford IL give me a shout. I will buy you dinner or we can cook together. Stay real and safe, my friend!!!
Between this wonderful man and the ease of the ninja foodi I, we have not eaten out /street food for 2 weeks ! That's major for us ! We both work long days and used to order out 2-4times a week !
Just made this tonight and it was delicious!! Thanks for the great recipe and step by step directions. My neighbors knocked to ask what I was cooking since they could smell it from outside the house.
Awesome roast brother! Love the gravy with it. I just got a ninja foodi, my first video for it will be out next Sunday. Gonna go find that Facebook group too! Good stuff! Cheers
Thank you so much for this video. It’s so much easier and faster than some of the other videos on here. My cats had tried to get into the chuck roast I just brought in and thankfully they just opened the package instead of getting to the meat. I had to cook it quickly and I’m still new to my ninja foodie.
I'm so glad that i find this video thank you. I got my ninja a month ago and i came to look some recipes how to use and bump here we go. This video vas so helpful
I made it today and it came out delicious. I cooked my patatoes and veggies 5 minutes and immediately released pressure. They came out perfect...not too soft
Conversations at my house. Family: have you seen the Ninja. Me:Not interested. We have had this conversation over and over and over. No, No, No! I don't want one I don't need one. End of family conversation Then.. I found your channel. Then I saw all the delicious things you were making. The way that roast looked when you were showing how tender. Well, my Ninja Foodi will be on the UPS truck on Friday. And then... I subscribed, hit the notication bell and gave you a thumbs up.
Thank you for sharing and also allowing me to join your facebook group, this looks delish! This weekend I bought my second Foodi, I decided to go with another 6.5qt because I like the size in my kitchen, it fits better under the cabinets. I needed it for multiple cooks at the same time, it worked out awesome. having 2 going does put off a lot of heat though.
Hey Douggie!! Great Job Man! You have me hungry as hell right now! 😁😋 Hey! Ummm! Do you live in the Palm Beach County, Fl area Doug!? I ask bc certain cities/towns use the same brands from what other cities might use that's why I ask, that's all... or so I've thought anyway! And the brands you were using like the Beef Broth are the brands I pic to use too. Anyway Doug! I liked your video and look forward to using my brand new Aqua Blue Ninja Foodi. I almost got the Red One, Cinnamon or White!! #CONFUSED... 😁 Anyway, Keep On Cookin Doug!!
Looks great Doug! I've been known to use at last 2 onions in my pot roast via crockpot; one sliced up with the roast, and then add another one quartered when I added the veggies later on. Bet the same principle would work in your Foodi!
Wow very entertaining channel first time seeing it. you're doing an excellent job keep up the good work. By the way I love that little gadget that separates the oil or the grease from the the broth where you had the vegetables.
Good cook Doug! Looks delicious! I will be trying this recipe. May I ask a favor Doug? Would you put a link either here in this comment or in your description for the measurement cup you used? I liked how the increments are also facing up so you don't have to look on the side!
My process: Meat seasoned and left in fridge for about 3 hours. Sear meat in cast iron pan and the place in foodi with cup of water mixed with pot roast seasoning. Cook for about an hour. Remove meat, add veggies and taters and cook for 10 minutes. Place meat back in the foodi and air fry for about 10 minutes. Let rest for 5 then eat!
Thank Gawd I was eating lunch as I was watching this video. It would have been sheer torture otherwise. Great video, I really enjoyed it. I think I might buy this version before buying an instant pot.
Yummmm...hey just letting you know that even though you pulled the foodi away from your cabinets the steam will cause them to warp...better to put on island or other place....just saying...
Glad I found your channel, love how you do your videos. I'm sure you've already answered this question, but not sure how to search comments. Can you see a real difference between the 6.5 and 8 qt. in the way of power?
Looking delicious as always mine should be here this week coming after a massive sell out thank you Lord lol , what is the difference between manual and natural pressure release thanks and keep on cooking brother
UPDATE: I just made the most tender and delicious pot roast I’ve ever made in my life. I’m one of those who uses the onion soup right on the roast (VERY good dry onion soup mix recipe on AllRecipes if you realize at the last moment that you’re out, like I did lol) but otherwise followed the video and it was PERFECT. Omg. I’ve never been able to do pot roast before lol I always screw it up. But this one’s a keeper! I will volunteer to transcribe your recipes if you’d like, Doug. Lmk
Hey Doug! How tall is the machine when the Air Fryer lid is up? I'm in a TINY kitchen and I don't know if I have the overhead clearance when the top is flipped up to fit in my cooking space. Could you possibly measure the height of that at some point? I'm not in the market for a new cooker yet, but when it's time, this one looks amazing.
Pattymac Knits ....I have the 6.5 qt Ninja Foodi and when Air Fryer lid opened it measures approximately 21 inches. I’m guessing since the 8 qt about 2 inches taller...it needs 23 to 24 inches of clearance. I hope that helps. I too have a tiny one butt kitchen....so I leave my Foodi on my stove top. I’m not able to open my microwave without closing air fryer lid first. Hope that helps.
@@uhn-uh-bash-id-lee-k-ran Oh gosh yes!! Thank you Karen!! I'll double check those measurements tomorrow. I have to use my AF and IP on the stove top, too. Very small kitchen!!
Hi Doug love your channel but the next time I make my road to will Not do my veggies for 10 minutes they did get music but still delish keep doing this good recipes
Roast looks fabulous!! Have you done pinto beans? If not can you? I want to get rid of my old pressure cooker but waiting on a pinto bean video from someone lol. Thanks! :)
Making this as you speak! I am SOOOO glad I found your channel. Can’t tell you how hard it is to find cooking channels using the Ninja Foodi in a realistic way. Thank you!!!

A classic I return to. Love your channel and your group on Facebook!

Amazing. I can’t find the video where you cook vegetables all together ? Could I get a link ? Ty
Love your channel Doug. Thank you for your inspiration and courage to experiment!!
Thank you so much for this video. It’s so much easier and faster than some of the other videos on here. How do you keep your foodi so clean! Love the recipe! Thanks Doug
That separator is way better than the one I have. I like that.
That's a good looking meal! I don't mind if my onions disentegrate, the flavor is still there. Thanks for sharing. 💜

I made this for dinner and my son really enjoyed this..thank you!
Some folks cook the veggies way too long. You’re just right.
It turned out great thank you, I used a pork roast cut in smaller chunks
Looks great Doug! I've been known to use at last 2 onions in my pot roast via crockpot; one sliced up with the roast, and then add another one quartered when I added the veggies later on. Bet the same principle would work in your Foodi!
That sizzle is everythang , go Doug 👏🏽

Thank you Doug made the roast tonight, awesome !!!
2021 new to NF, awesome instructions
Looks yummy. I’m going to make it this weekend. 😋
I love my Foodie but still learning some of the times are a little off in the Ninja Book.
Was wondering how much corn starch you added at the end for the gravy?
Trying this tommorow, can't wait!
Genius! 😍 Thank you so much for these teaching videos Doug!
Nothing like a good roast and then a nap.
Next day French Dip.. My man
Best roast beef EVER! And the au jus goes to beef and noodles tomorrow night! Thank you Doug!
Looks good will be trying tomorrow night

This looks so good! That’s comfort food right there👏
FYI, Arrowroot is a better alternative for thickening gravies etc than cornstarch. Much better for u!
When you put it on sear, do you push any other button?
Dude your videos are very informative. Thank you .
I have to stop watching these videos when I’m Hungary! 🤓
Thanks!
Well heck yah..nice pot of gold there!
LOVE all your Foodi tutes!
Could you please give us a link for the handy caddy? Thanks!

Man. Mines cooking and your offering me a bite of yours. I’m starving. It won’t be long now.
Oh Man... Looks soooo good. Your killin me.. 👍👍😋🍴🍻
I made this but the pressure cooker evaporated all the water i had to add more beef broth after the hour is that suppose to happen?
9:11 Yes there is! Have you not fully read the Cooking 101 hand book?
My process: Meat seasoned and left in fridge for about 3 hours. Sear meat in cast iron pan and the place in foodi with cup of water mixed with pot roast seasoning. Cook for about an hour. Remove meat, add veggies and taters and cook for 10 minutes. Place meat back in the foodi and air fry for about 10 minutes. Let rest for 5 then eat!
Wonderful

How does this differ from boiling water on the stove under/beside the same cabinets?
Looks amazing!! Thank you 😊
After i pressure the roast and after its done , i did what you did (add potatoes etc) the Foodi wont let me set pressure beyond 4 mins.
Sunday dinner at it's best!
Doug where do you store all of your kitchen toys.
You're making me HUNGRY!!
Made my mouth water. Yummy! What's the name of the gadget that you slide pot out on? Thank You. 🍽
Handy caddy

Finally making this tonight!
Glad I found your channel, love how you do your videos. I'm sure you've already answered this question, but not sure how to search comments. Can you see a real difference between the 6.5 and 8 qt. in the way of power?
Ha! For anyone with my question: 7:00 minutes in...
Yip...in the air crisp, AND it comes to pressure faster...
Lee Cole
Thanks for asking your question, otherwise I wouldn’t know there is an eight quart. Just ordered the eight quart from Amazon. 🌺
Looking delicious as always mine should be here this week coming after a massive sell out thank you Lord lol , what is the difference between manual and natural pressure release thanks and keep on cooking brother
Can you put two 2 pounds at the same time ?
I wonder if you could crisp the meat afterward? I got a Foodi and haven't used it yet!!
Course!
Wanna kick this up a notch. Add a packet of ranch.
hi Doug, please explain the reason for a natural release vs manual thanks
For tough meats you always need to do a natural release for some time period
i would do even 80-85 minutes under pressure for the roast. needed to break apart a little more easily.
Do you have these written out anywhere? I have trouble following along with videos but I like how you do
UPDATE: I just made the most tender and delicious pot roast I’ve ever made in my life. Ohhh myyyy goodness that looks delicious 😋
Hey Boo, yass🙌. That is one yummylicious meal‼️👍👍
Oh my goodness! Thank you, my husband LOVED this pot roast! I did the veggies for only 5 minutes and they were perfect!
Does it take long to cook like baked chicken wings
Do I have to sear it I just want to set it and forget it
U don't, however the sear burns in some good flavor
Which do you like better the 8 qt or 6.5 qt? I’m really wanting one 😃
8qt is sold out AGAIN but the 6.5qt is available...both are great but I personally like the 8qt better not for the size, but watts (1400vs1700)
COOKINGWITHDOUG thank you!
Hi Doug love your channel but the next time I make my road to will
Not do my veggies for 10 minutes they did get music but still delish keep doing this good recipes
Roast looks fabulous!! Have you done pinto beans? If not can you? I want to get rid of my old pressure cooker but waiting on a pinto bean video from someone lol. Thanks! :)
My wife adds a large can of cream of mushroom soup.
Hi Doug, your chuck roast looks tender and delicious I love roast and I know I would love yours.
Where is the link to tools that you placed?
What if you don’t have that gravy separator?
Wanna see how you'd pressure cook meatballs in that
Oh and I just subscribed...
great video but can't you just pull out the foodie without the caddy thing? It didn't look like it was over the edge of your counter....
For some reason i missed your fat separator as mentioned in this video.
ops sry just found it. my bad
U prefer ninja over instant pot
Yup...ninja does more
So the pressure cooker and the sauté are basically the same as the instant pot ?
I'm like those other viewers, no mushy veggies! :)
Roast
Anywho
Onions, carrots, celery...yes. Taters go in the garbage.
