Educated Pakistanis understand that Pakistan India should not be enemies. There are extreme elements on both sides of the bother and one is not better than the other in it. Pakistans problem is not comparison to India, had Pakistans army/government actually done that we would have been far ahead of where we are now. Its all a game played by the army so people feel army is crucial for Pakistans survival. If you think about it who wouldn't blindly support their army if they believed they are surrounded by enemies from all borders and their only protector is the army.

Shabbar Zaidi is such a pragmatic person. Such a refreshing change from the normal political stuff which is put out on both sides of the border. Frankly neither country can afford a war. There are just too many underprivileged people on both sides who need to be supported . The biggest difference I see as an Indian is that this right wing government of India has given us hope and pride as Indians. I’ve never seen such a can do attitude in India across multiple spheres. We are not waiting from any manna / hope / miracle from heaven to change our lot. As Indians, have to do it and we will do it. We will become a USD 7 trillion dollar economy by 2030 and increase our per capita income to USD 5000. Economic prosperity is far more sustainable as a longer term strategy than religious jingoism
