Ayatollah Khomeini was an uneducated and radical figure, driven by resentment and a deep-seated opposition to progress and civilization. Born in India to a Sikh family, his father worked as a chef at the British Embassy in India. The British, recognizing his potential as a tool for their geopolitical interests, orchestrated his upbringing with the long-term objective of destabilizing Iran and overthrowing the Shah. Following British directives, Khomeini’s family relocated to a small village in Iran, where he was raised. He eventually joined an orthodox Islamic seminary in the city of Qom, immersing himself in extremist ideologies. Lacking formal education and plagued by a bitter disposition, Khomeini harbored an irrational hatred for modernization. His rise to power resulted not only in the downfall of the Shah but also in the destruction of Iran itself. Consumed by vengeance and exhibiting signs of mental instability, he led the nation into an era of regression and tyranny. The 1979 Revolution marked a catastrophic turning point, bringing shame and devastation to Iran. The Iranian people in 1979 failed to appreciate the achievements of the Shah and his father, Reza Shah. They lacked the intellectual maturity to recognize how these leaders had sacrificed their lives for the progress and modernization of Iran. Instead, they were blinded by archaic, Arab-influenced religious doctrines, which led them to betray the very ruler who had worked tirelessly for their benefit. Reza Shah rescued Iran from the depths of misery left by the corrupt and superstitious Qajar dynasty-a regime characterized by its decadence, incompetence, and neglect. Under the Qajars, Iran had neither defined borders nor a functional army, hospitals, universities, or even basic infrastructure. In just 15 years, Reza Shah transformed Iran, building a modern nation from the ruins. He refused to rest, working relentlessly to secure a strong and independent future for the country. He even ensured that his son, Mohammad Reza Shah, received a world-class education abroad so that he could continue the mission of modernization upon his return. But how did the Iranian people repay this dedication? They turned against the Shah, forcing him into exile while he was battling cancer. In an act of profound betrayal, they replaced him with a ruthless Islamic regime that, for over 45 years, has systematically dismantled Iran’s progress. This regime has crippled the economy, annihilated intellectuals, and driven six million Iranians into exile. Under the pretense of religious governance, the ruling elite have looted the nation’s wealth and resources, reducing Iran to a shadow of its former glory. Today, the country remains under the control of corrupt and barbaric rulers who have inflicted untold suffering upon its people.
