@@darkcorex4361 Actually no, if the Emperor were to die, a Warp storm would be unleashed on Terra so powerful that it would prevent warp travel for millennia, preventing humanity from communicating and traveling between the stars. To be fair, becoming a Dreadnaught is more blessing than curse, in WH40K. You no longer have to worry about physical concerns, food, water, or oxygen; all provided for you. You are no longer as squishy to all the nasty things out there. And you are technically a prisoner anyway, being forced to fight until you die or get turned into a Dreadnought. Honestly, considering how brutal and terrible life in the Imperium is, with like entire starships having human slave prisons to run key aspects of the ship, becoming a dreadnaught is basically paradise in compairson.
Actually many dreadnaught do chores they are in most cases never forced into stasis. Believe it or not they even read and consume information. Many dreadnaught are not just awoken for war but for wisdom and information.
Yep - IIRC they are sometimes woken to consult their centuries-and-centuries of experience. I think the Space Wolves even wake theirs for a feast every century or something. Because of course they do. Because they're the Space Wolves and they're a special kind of crazy.
