Thank You for your informative and fun-to-watch content Felix.

Thanks for this wonderful Feedback!
Its been too long since Felix has made a tips and tricks video, great to see the series back!
Vice: you can use the pliers to hold something, and then close them back up into the tool. The tension of the tool storing away will vice the item in place. Soldering wires, holding two items together to let the glue dry on, hold a flashlight for hands free use, ect.
Good tip
Super ideal! Thanks a lot!
Thanks for your tip!
Wow no kidding, as soon as I read this I thought "no way- this might actually work" and immediately had to try it and you sir were 100% spot on and this is brilliant 👏 I now have even more uses for my Swiss champ lol as if they don't already do enough 🤣 I love these things! One day I'd like to own that really big Swiss army but for now I've got a few Swiss Champs and they literally serve most any purpose I could need from them...
@@kevinAuman1 What I appreciate about these tools... the tool count is not the limiting factor. The SAK's pocket size is not the limiting factor. The metal quality is not the limiting factor. We the user, are the limiting factor. 👍
As an electronics tech, these tiny pliers are much more handy than I expected when I first saw how small they were.
They're very handy for holding things to solder or bending component legs.
One of the best unexpected uses for them is as tweezers, both for grooming and splinter removal.
Hello Edward. Thanks a lot for this interesting feedback!
I was 8 years old when I received my first Victorinox as a christmas gift. I put it through some serious abuse being a kid, but absolutely loved it and wouldn't be without it. At 21 I purchased the angling edition and I still have it to this day. It's been used on so many projects and repairs (and fishing trips) that I've lost count. Last Christmas in my 43rd year, my wife bought me a Champ, and I'm still learning all about the different functions. The pliers were a major feature for me - I use them regularly for everyday repairs including jewellery. The crimpers are a fantastic edition for fishing and making rigs, especially sea fishing when crimps are needed to secure tough rigs. Thanks to this video, I only just learned about the wire cutter feature at the base of the plier opening. Stay safe and well Felix, I loved this and many other of your videos!
This sounds painful, but is very effective. I use the SAK pliers as tweezers to remove hair from my nostrils and ears. The pliers can remove very short hairs from difficult to reach corners. They also remove clumps of hairs, and not just one or two like tweezers do. This is actually my main use for the pliers.
Thank for your intersting Feedback!
I thought I was the only one that did this!!
Used to use the scissors but after nipping myself and creating a bloody mess right before a meeting, I now gladly tolerate the pain of pulling out the hairs. And it doesn’t leave “stubble”.
Can you use the removed clumps of hair as tinder to start a fire???
You're right, but the thought makes my eyes tear up. 😅
I think the Turks solved this problem hundreds of years ago- Rick Steves went to a Turkish barber shop and they had basically a smoldering q-tip which they used to trim/singe the hairs
@@bobkrohn8053 only earhair has enough wax for tinder.... LOL
I just want to share that I am born American and lived in the US my whole life (aside from a once in a lifetime 3 week trip to Germany, Switzerland and Austria).
I never understood why so many people around the world believed the metric system was better until I recently got a Victorinox SKA. It's so much more visually intuitive making it a lot less prone to measurement errors. I can't believe I am finally only learning this now and that it's all because of work with my SKA. I wish the imperial system would go away but the US is way too involved with it. It's everywhere here. 😩
Anyway, thank you Felix for these great videos. They've been a huge inspiration for me.
What the Victorinox SAK pliers lack in size, they make up for in dexterity. I love that they're sprung and you get excellent control with the large SAK body to grip and thumb operation. Much better for many tasks than larger unsprung pliers, in my opinion.
You´re a lucky man :)
Vielen Dank für das schöne Kompliment!
Finally pulled the trigger on a champ and I have to say am loving it over my compact 😂😂 it's realy annoying me how all my cheep tools don't rust like my leathermans but in the UK so be the champ lol thanks for the video mate I can live with small non rusting pliers if I need a decent set as you know we grab the knipex 😂😂👍
Nice upload as always Felix! 3:30 You can also press the needle against the table or a piece of wood and press the leather workpiece on top, this will give you even more power with thicker leather or whatever you want to sew.
Super idea. Thanks a lot!
The pliers are also useful when working with paracord. Pulling short working ends and crimping melted ends shut come to mind. The tip about direction of force application was immensely useful, too. And that fish looked mighty tasty. Thanks, as always, for the terrific video!
Thank you, now my handyman is even more handy =) love your videos
Thank you!
LG Sepp
Danke mein Freund! LG
Love your videos and your enthusiasm is contagious.
just got myself a nice Handyman. perfect moment for this video!
Thanks for watching!
@@FelixImmler always
Nice one Felix I bet you thought I disappeared No, I’m still here good review till the next video Ciaooo bye can’t beat a Swiss Army Tool in my opinion
Felix, you are an inspiration to us all!
Thank you so much!
A friend got a flat tire on his bike from a piece of wire embedded through the rubber tread to the inside. The pliers on my Deluxe Tinker were able to remove the wire to allow putting a new tube back in while out on the road.
The master at work again!
Thank you so much!
This is a great tutorial video. It arrives before the arrival of a Victorinox Mechanic that I am buying.
Not going to lie, I've seen them and thought they were silly, no comparison to the Leatherman tool in my other pocket but wow, new respect for them! Thanks!
I heard sometimes there good for holding small particles of a plant rolled up in Paper and set on 🔥
Not a heavy duty tool but definitely a handy duty tool ❤
i agree..
Always a revelation watching one of your videos, great information. Thank you Felix.
I've always liked those pliers. They shouldn't be compared with the pliers found in the Swiss Tool, which are much sturdier. The 91mm pliers is for smaller jobs and have saved the day on many occasions.
That's right. Those pliers are for smaller jobs, of course. While the pliers in the Swiss Tool set is for more serious stuff. Nevertheless, those pliers are all good for our daily usage.
Thank you again on a great video! We are glad to see you highlight the use of the pliers. We use them frequently, especially for cooking at in the woods ( I use a plate as frying pan and the pliers as the handle) i also use the pliers to work a wire around my pot to make a handle so I can hang the pot over the fire. I own many Victorinox knives but mainly use the Hercules ( modified the scales and screwdriver, thanks to you again!) and the Evolution 52 (modified as well and is almost like a mini Hercules) Cheers from Canada!
Thank you for such an imaginative video. SAKs are the best.
Thank you very much!
Really enjoy this series, Sir 😊 Great job and indeed very inspiring.
Greetings from Israel
I make jewelry and I have found that for the type of jewelry I make these are the perfect combination of bending and cutting
Another EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT VIDEO!!
That makes me happy. Thank you!
Watch your video in Canada.
Amazingly informative and useful!
Thank you for your work!!!
I have always underestimated this tool. In fact, for small jobs it can be useful. Happy Life Felix and congratulations.
The pliers of my swisschamp saved my day many times, also I use it a lot when I go fishing for the uses You show in the video. Also I use the pliers to remove my nose hairs. Thank you Felix.
Ouch! The best tool for nose hair grooming is the scissors on the classic. Throw one on your key ring so it’s always with you.
Thanks a lot for your positive feedback!
Good choice!
That fish looks so delicious.🐟 😌👍🏻
Yes… i like it too
4.22 as an Austrian (Victorinox-Fan of course ;-) ), I must realy grin and smile at your "Sausage fingers"...😋😉
Make a Fish hook out of a paper clip! Outstanding!
Felix thank you for sharing this one with us you are the Swiss champ🏆😊👍
Haa ha haa, thank you!
Felix you are just the best thank you.
Love your content
I bought this 33 functions victorinox it is fantastic 👌
Thanks a lot Kate!
My fav sak is huntsman and super tinker i use the pliers fir fish hook removal and grabbing hot cans of beans off the 🔥
Victorinox SAK pliers are very underrated. They are criticized for their small size, but I find them way more useful in everyday life than the large pliers of plier based multitools
I’m considering buying a Handyman for my extended EDC kit and camping kit. I have a 91mm Ranger but obviously the Handyman with the pliers would be so much useful.
Cheers Felix!
You will enjoy it!
@@technium100 Thanks buddy. 👍🏻 I’ve gone for the Knipex xs pliers instead. Two tools made more sense to be. And a handyman is currently £60 ish and the Knipex are £20 ish
@@MichaelB2L Makes sense. Yeah the Handyman is surprisingly more than the price of a Champ. Two years ago they weee going for $58 and now they are $98. Quite the increase. Enjoy your duo!
@@technium100 That’s crazy! The HM is £10 cheaper than the champ here.
Yep everything is way more expensive these days.
Thanks buddy! 🙏🏻 take care
When there were a lot of Salmon Parr or tiny trout in a stream the pliers are handy to squash the barb down on trout flies.
I ise it to disassemble legos parts for my kids. Sometimes it's hard to pull them out so that's my favorite tool to get the job done. 🤘
Thank you Felix! I really enjoyed this video!
Thanks for watching!
I think I heard you have to demonstrate all uses of every swiss army tool before they let you graduate high school in Switzerland.
Thx for another good video! I have the Vic Tinker with pliers. I recommend! Very great tool, that fits easily in the pocket.
Thanks a lot Lars…
I waiting for this video!
Thanks!
Great job, Felix! Thanks!!
Thanks a lot Matthew!
Felix those are some mad fishing skills!! I'm afraid that the saltwater I fish in would hurt my SAK pliers. Excellent video as always, soon you'll be at 1M subscribers!
Great video man! Good work! Thank you!
Thank you very much!
Hey Felix, been watching some of your videos last few days and you are truly making these victorinox tools sound amazing!
I always kinda assumed they're not for me cause of size and I kinda thought they're not the best quality (cause of cost vs things like leatherman)
But especially with this video about the pliers they seem way better than I thought. I feel like the Deluxe tinker would make for a fine addition in my MTBing bag! You really make me want to buy one! 😅
I think the more adjustable Wenger pliers are more versatile without taking up more room on the knife.
Yes, this is True…
Wenger pliers are thinner which make them even less sturdy.
The adjustable Wenger pliers have their uses, but nonetheless I prefer the Victorinox ones since they are less “fiddly” for me.
Well explained 😊
Thank you!
Thank you, I am learning so much.......
I hope Victorinox paid you for this.. wonderful job! You’ve convinced me of its worth!
I am well supported by victorinox…
thanks Felix - always reminding us why we should have the swiss army in our pocket 😁
Best rust resistant pliers on market just a pain to open onehanded which impacts use though fly fishing and such you can just have the pliers pre-opened or partially opened with a stick of wood through the pliers chocking it open a little.
I really wish they stuck out the top of the tool like the saws so you could open them by dragging them across a seam on a pant leg or such.
The open pliers work great as a large hook in a pinch be it a pot hook or just dragging something closer.
Endless ideas Felix
Thank you so much!!
Awesome video!! Thank you!
Thanks a lot Robert!
👋🇧🇾✌️Hello, Felix - Mr. VixMan 👌. Thank's again for a great tips 👍👍👍!!!
Thanks a lot!
I hope your wrist is ok and you are ok .
I used to wrap my wrist like this for accidental strain and also cuts that I wish hadn't happened,so I hope you're doing well and I love your videos and all you do so I hope you are ok
everything is okay with me, thank you
!
Cool Video 👍
Thank U for the Info and the Links 👍
Excelent tips master Felix
Thanks a lot!
another great video Felix
your name was wisely chosen. you are very happy!
Amazing...As always!
Thank you very much!!
Informative as always Felix 👍
The pliers are great for untying a stubborn knot
As always.very good advice 🙂👌👍
For Paragliders, you sometimes need to open the raiser locks (Leinenschloss), e.g., if the glider got caught by a bush or a tree. You can also use it for opening / closing the carabiner connecting the rescue. - For paragliding teachers, I have heard it is mandatory to have some sort of pliers with you. The SAK is a very lightweight option. In combination with a knife, scissors and a saw on a SAK, a paragliding pilot is very well prepared.
This is convenient, but a Leatherman and a Swiss Army knife is a superior option in my opinion. ✌
Thanks for the video Felix
Thanks for watching!
Awesome uses of the pliers my good friend. You always surprise me with new ideas. As another usage of the pliers I'll recommend it as a holder for your nipple piercing you wanted 🤣🤣🤣 clamp the rusty nail in the pliers and whack with stone....like you showed us with the small nail. 😅😅😅
Just kidding.....
You can spread open the pliers when you have a broken socket from a lightbulb, to remove it. With that trick I've removed quite a lot in the past. Just make sure to switch the Power off before you remove a broken lampsocket (the Metal Part of a lightbulb). But it works like a charm.
Have a great day buddy. Looking forward to your next Video.
Cheers, Mike
Btw, soon to be close in your area again, maybe we will make it this time for a cold beer. 😁🙌🏻
Hey Mike.
Love your channel!
With my Wurstfinger 🥰
😂
I've been looking for a pair of pliers mainly to use as a pot grabber on my mess tin, I know I could borrow one from my trangia mini but where's the fun in that? I never knew victorinox had one the mini knipex ones look well handy though
Yes , they work well. Not for heavy duty... bur for camping stuff they work well.
Another great video!
Very cool ideas. Are those fishing sinkers made from lead? If so, take care as it is a soft and highly toxic metal.
Bravo
Thanks a lot Nikolay!
Excellent work my friend!
Thank you very much my friend!
@@FelixImmler you are very welcome 👍🏼
Hallo Felix.
When the key for canned corned beef is missing, use the pliers to grip the tab and start twisting.
Bro super video
I want to get a Swiss Champ, but it is costly and very wide. I just bought an evolution model to get the locking blade and screwdriver.
hello Craig. Thanks for your comment!
Great tips!
Great content, as usual.
Thank you so much!
Pliers, on the Champ at least, were pretty robust for me. I used them to get a pot with a broken handle out of a fire once.
Is there something like this with pliers and scissors, without other tools? I have been carrying a Classic (the most simple and small) for decades, the only thing I miss is pliers. If I want pliers, then I have to go much bulkier and heavier.
4:22 "Sausage fingers"... lol
Those were great examples. :)
Thank you!
