Hello Felix. About the one of the three eyes on the coconut being soft, if you look closely in different angles on the three spots, it should begin to look like a face with the spots becoming the eyes and mouth. If I remember from my childhood in India, the mouth spot is always the soft one. I enjoy your videos very much, Felix. Today's world needs more people like you on the internet. Cheers!
Felix I have been owning a swiss army knive for over 40 years, and it is still the same one, and you have shown me a lot of tricks to do with it. Thanks
Frankly, I think this might be the single most useful and entertaining video I've ever seen on youtube. I can't tell you how many times I've needed to try to bend a paperclip into a weird shape, only to be extremely frustrated trying to use needlenose pliers. No more frustration!! Thx.
You are an inspiration… you really love what you do and you really love SAKs… it’s always a deep pleasure watching your videos! Greetings from Italia 🇮🇹❤🇨🇭

Herr Immler, I've never watched any of your videos that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed. You, sir, are absolutely BADASS! Greetings from Florida, USA. Just sane... :^) Saint
Another great video! Years ago was taught in fire training to break a car window in the bottom corner. Don't have a window to break or would try with my sak. In another youtubers video learned to put a piece of clear plastic in ring with a drop of water to use as a magnifier, sorry don't remember who.
Danke Felix, widerum ein lehrreicher Film. Du und dein Kameramann sind wie immer mit Spass und Freude an der Arbeit. Danke Euch Beiden, macht weiter so 👍👍
To split the keyring for reattachment, I split it with the bottle opener but then set the tweezers in between them, or either a piece of string, to keep the keyring opened, then you can easily and freely attach it into the eyelid and remove the tweezers/string by pulling it straight out. I find this much easier than the example shown. This works for "any" keyring by the way.
Honestly, the one trick that blew me away was slipping the keyring onto the bottle opener and slide down onto the eyelet. Wow! So simple but I probably never would have made that connection! Genius! One more tip is to use the toothpick to pry open the ring. Much easier than your thumbnail! 😊
I'm very relieved that the main use for the eyelet is to do with coconuts. We don't ever tackle coconuts so I am not now regretting that I too remove the eyelet so as to be able to carve with the little blade. (I still want a hook after the video I saw yesterday...) lovely video. I'm going to watch one each day and savour them. So nice to have the excellent SAK celebrated.
Awesome tips as usual! I have watched this video twice. This time I think that I know what your camera man was thinking! Lol! Regarding the key ring: If you took the ring off and attached it to the eye of a fishing snap swivel you could then snap the swivel into the eyelet. You'd still have the large ring handy if you needed it, but it would literally be a SNAP to remove.
Felix, I have seen some things in my life as a soldier, but I've never seen anybody crack open a coconut with a pocket knife! Amazing! Now, I want to do it. If you are working on a vehicle with drum brakes, that hook can help remove the springs.
I have a rescue tool that has a glass breaker glass cutter replaceable ones I am on the road a lot do not leave home without a glass breaker can't wait until Friday for another video !!!
Vielen dank mein Freund! Autsch, da fällt mir ein, dass ich Dir noch eine Antwort auf Dein Mail schuldig bin. Ich melde mich nächste Woche! Möchte sowieso wissen wie es gelaufen ist. Liebe Grüsse
If you want to get rid of the key-ring, but still want to attach the knife to a lanyard (or similar) on occasion, then use a large fishing snap-swivel. The wire of the snap swivel will easily go through the loop on the knife, but be securely fastened by the buckle on the snap swivel. Another good video Felix! Thanks. Les in UK

One day the ferry person (a pregnant young lady!) came up the slipway asking if anyone had a screw driver. Thanks for another great video. The way to break open the coconut was so much safer than hacking at it with a blade . Also the way to get the key ring back on is fantastic. I always end up with a bloody fingernail and some x-rated words !!!
Another great video. Thanks. Do you plan on doing a video on how to sharpen the blades, of course using the Victorinox sharpener pen, and how to keep the blades sharp? Hi Felix, I really thought that you will smash the knife in 1000 pieces by hitting the car window, it didn’t work but it shows how strong the knife is, thanks for sharing the little tricks, take care my friend, Taro
I replaced the key ring on my One Handed Trekker with a soft shackle made from yellow 1.75mm Zing-It. I use it as a carabener, and as a way to help me open the large blade one handed by sliding my fingers through and then putting downward force on the soft shackle which plants the body of the knife firmly into my palm. I can then use my thumb to open the blade without the knife twisting or moving in my hand. This task is tricky for me since I have titanium plates in my right hand from a construction accident when I was 17. A 12lb. sledge hammer crushed most of the bones on the left side , turning them into powder and sharp glass like granules lol. Ever since then I've had virtually zero dexterity, poor circulation from the arterial damage and severe arthritis. Having the soft shackle makes it super easy to open. Love the channel, sub'd.
