I'm horrified at the cruelty of people now. This country has gone to hell in a handbasket!

@@grogsmashrock7240I agree that animals rights have improved over time, but the levels of cruelty have increased, too. I volunteer at a shelter and it is insane the amount of sexually abused animals you see nowadays, same with tortured/mutilated/killed animals. It's like nowadays one can witness the best AND the worst of human kind.
I'm a boomer and grew up in a rural area. Honestly, back in the day nobody would have done this for a mere dog. They probably would have just finished her off as a kindness. The world isn't falling apart, it's just perspective. I'm glad this pooch got lucky and found kind hearted people.
I cannot imagine the pain this poor mamma dog had endured. There is a special place in hell waiting for evil people who abuses/hurt innocent animals.
I hope this business thrives and endless blessings to everyone involved in rescuing these dogs from their awful situation. People think God cant see the evil things they do.. you just wait.

Should be 8 weeks not 4 weeks to remove the pups from their mom. Thank all who helped to discover and rescue this precious mother dog and her babies.
The pups are already 3-4 weeks old, so another 4 weeks they will be ready for adoption.

Why the f**k would someone shoot a dog? Simply because they could since the dog was defenseless and didn't understand what was going to happened? Animals need to be helped and protected, esp lone animals left on their own since they simply cannot survive without human care.
This poor sweet mama girl. Abandoned mama pitties are usually the ones i end up fostering, and they are literal ANGELS every single time. Thank you so much, for being kind and caring people. It's truly good vs evil out there, especially for animals. Please make sure mama (and of course the puppies, but especially poor mama after all she's endured) goes to a safe and loving home who would never dream of mistreating or giving her up. I hope she gets the safe and loving home she MORE than deserves. Sweet angel.

God bless the people at the feed store and the customer who brought Mama and the pups in. Oklahoma seems to have a huge problem with abandoned and abused dogs. I hope good people will adopt Mama and the pups.

Sadly, this is not a lovely story due to the fact that the poor mother was shot in the head and she and her puppies were left to die.

The puppies need to be at least six weeks old before they are placed for adoption. 4 weeks is much too young.
