I witnessed a wonderful exchange between a wild mother beaver and her offspring while we were camping. Mother crossed from the lodge to the creek leading up into a wetland where there was lots of food. Baby followed and sat in the lake making these exact whiny noises, clearly demanding that mother come back. Mother came back over (she had to cross a campground road to do this) and they held a conversation face to face in the lake, and you could tell she was telling the baby to go home, because of her tone of voice. Finally the baby turned around and did go home, and mother crossed the road into the wetland once again. By this time it was nearly full dark, so we couldn't see them anymore anyway.

Everything you never realized you wanted to know about beavers! They are amazing little critters! Yeah, I know some people think they are nuisances, but they are just doing what they do. Is it their fault that man has invaded their habitat? Many years ago, a friend bought a new home in a brand new subdivision outside Richmond, VA. There was a pond at the beginning of the neighborhood. I don't know why, but the builders just laid a road, smack dab through the middle of the pond, with no way to access one side from the other without crossing the road. I mean, no culvert pipe at all! There was a family of beavers in there. They tried to "capture" the beavers on several occasions. Every time I drove down from D.C., the pond was smaller, the dam had been destroyed, but there was still a beaver in there, because a new dam was begun. Finally, I went there, and the pond had been completely filled in. My friend didn't seem to know what happened, in the end. I thought that was just so sad. We invaded their territory, but THEY are the nuisance?
I LOVE TULIP. What a darling little character. You guys are heroes. You have to release her I know but gosh how she will leave a hole in your lives - and a tidy house ;)

@regina I bet you don't know squat about Mississippi. Guessing you are a coastal elite. Many locales all over the US, including North, South, East, West, red states as well as blue states, have designated various animals as a nuisance for different reasons. Many of which make no sense at first glance. Nothing unique at all about Mississippi in that regard. You're just a bigot.
Do you realize the damage they do in some places? They are considered a nuisance because there are way too many and it just isn't possible to capture and relocate them all.

I love her noises! She is adorable! Tulip is so adorable when she takes the stuffies to build a dam. I’m so glad she’s rescued!
TU lip eating a TU ber
Tulip building dams
wearing her jimjams
Tulip in her pool
Being very cool
Whenever she has the whim
She can go for a swim
The waddling the scritching the squeal
Tulip is so cute she does not even seem real

how sweet! ❤️
@@isbakernation😊 thanks, I felt a bit silly posting it but heck sometime silly is good❤

What a sweet poem!
The noises she makes while having a tantrum are the cutest sounds! ❤
This is hands down the cutest baby beaver I've ever seen. I walk by a beaver pond quite often and rarely get to see the little ones. They are such amazing creatures. How awful that some people kill them and destroy their dens and dams.
You wouldn’t. They stay in the lodge until they’re older. It’s why baby beavers alone is a sign that their parents have been killed, because they’re never out alone when they’re babies.
@@parryyotter evil of anyone to harm them. and ignorant.

We are the nuisance
@@kitmangoreNo we're just winning. For now at least.
You never had a garden huh?
Humans are the only nuisance
The way she scratched her belly just made my heart bubble with delight and then the onesie that started to protect her but that she loved just sealed the deal. That might be THE number one cutest tantrum EVER! I know that it is right to release her when she signals it is time - I truly respect you for that - but that would be SO hard when she is just so charismatic! Hugs from the Canadian Arctic❣️❣️🇨🇦
She is the most adorable wee creature. I am so sad that Beavers are not appreciated and protected in your state. Thanks for caring for Tulip and for sharing this happiness.
I just wanna cuddle her - those cute squeaks ❤❤❤😊❤❤❤
Thank you for helping animals. We appreciate you.
Thank you for rescuing Tulip what a BEAUTIFUL BEING that the good Lord has made. Please help to save these BEAUTIFUL BEAVERS we need them.
Never thought I'd see a beaver in a onesie lol. Beyond adorable!
Beaver are necessary for the environment.
These little guys are the engineers of the forest so smart.
That's the most adorable face I've ever seen what a beautiful little beaver.
Awwww...Cuteness Overload ❤❤❤

My brain just overloaded from all this CUTE! CUTE, CUTE, CUTE!!
Oh my God, I hate people so much. Had no idea that was a thing in Mississippi. Thank you so much for rescuing Tulip. Please keep up the wildlife rescue work and thank you for sharing this.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Of course, it’s Mississippi.
Its so sad 😢
It’s not that simple.
"Oh my God, I hate people so much" ---
Did you give that preface much thought before you actually wrote it?
Sounds just like a baby!
Like a human baby 😊
What a kind lady (& her family too). Tulip sounds just like a young child and that pudgy face is way too cute. Adorable, but as cautioned, beavers are not for most households - unless one is equipped to understand & raise them properly. 💗
She's here on youtube as Holley Muraco. Tulip's bigger now, and there's a new baby (Petunia) who is feisty as heck! Plus a third older (but still sub-adult) female who came in after being washed ashore in the Gulf. She was quite ill but is now recovering. Holley is building her own beaver sanctuary!
I am glad that you were able to take her in and really help her through. It would be just terrible to realize her to even think that she would not have made it without a loving family like yours! And please keep us updated on her. What a great story.
Little Tulip is so sweet! I wish her a safe, long and happy life. ❤❤❤
Thank you for caring for this adorable little girl. They definitely do NOT make good pets. A friend of mine fosters, and he destroyed her house and almost everything in it. But they are so amazing!!
Little tulip is absolutely precious ❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️ I can’t get over how adorable she is I just love her to bits ❤️💕❤️💕 Thank you to the kind people who have saved little Tulip and take such good care of her and give her the unconditional love and support she deserves ❤️🙏
This tiny baby is just so damn cute. How did I just see this one month late? Come on UA-cam give me more of this cuteness I need this.
It's 6.30am, I can't sleep so I am getting frustrated and angry with myself. I put on UA-cam a watched the most heart warming little beaver just enjoying a life of luxury with 2 selfless people who have put time, care and love into saving the life of a beautiful baby beaver. I thank you straight from my heart to yours for all that you are doing for this little one and many more to come. YOU HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE TO WORLD, XXX ❤
Same 😊😊
What an angel. My beloved cockatoo died recently and it's broke my heart.
So sorry your cockatoo passed on to Pet Heaven. Cockatoos are such cool creatures. Now you have an angel flying over you wherever you go! ❤🕊👼🏻
I sure hate to hear that. Losing pets is so hard, they are family.
To call such a beautiful soul a nuisance, disgraceful. We are the only nuisance species on the planet. Everyone else fits in with the scheme of things. We are surplus to requirements. We don’t enhance we destroy. They have all been here millions of years. In comparison we have been here 2 minutes. How dare we decide who is important and who is to be used and abused. They are the elders. We are the ignorant, rampaging giant 2 year olds, who don’t know what we are doing.
WOW,well said @MJ.You are so right.👏👏
Well said
Couldnt agree more.
This is so true... :(
Well said sir🫡
Been following Holey since about the time Tulip came in. It was such a pleasurable learning experience! And now she has a new, tiny friend, Petunia. They are bonding and it's the sweetest thing. Highly recommend following them.
So adorable! Bless these people for raising this cutie.
I fucking love her she’s so adorable
This was fascinating. I didn’t know they were so cute!
What a cute little noise that is. It's like a little squeak.❤❤❤❤
She is sucha precious little sweetiepie! It warms my heart she's being taken care of by a loving family
What a precious li'l girl. Her peeps are so endearing. Thank goodness you rescued her & are able to give her everything she needs. I hope & pray she continues to get better & healthier. Blessings to sweet Tulip 🌷 & your amazing self. 😇❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Cutest Beaver I've ever seen! Tulip is a cutie-patootie! Thank you for saving her!
This is the cutest thing I’ve seen in ages , ‘ hey mum where’s my shirt ‘ mum ‘ ask tulip ‘ 🤣🤣🤣
She's too big for the shirts now, but she's substituted them with these big floaty ring toys from her pool. They fit quite well around her roundness!
@@Kalyahna omg to cute 🤣❤️❤️
@@hazelduerdoth4333Now the rings don't fit, so Dr. Muraco cut them so they could expand and not constrict her. 😊
this gives a new meaning to “Leave It to Beaver”😂😂😂😂😂😂
Omg Tulip is so cute. And the parts where she has the onesie on and scratching herself all over, it’s sad she’s so itchy, but she looks so cute doing that. I’m so glad I came across your channel. Wish I found it sooner but so cute and I definitely liked and subscribed
So adorable! A very important wild species too. ❤
The awesomeness involved here is practically overwhelming. Faith in humanity restored, and after what humans have done to Beavers over the last millennia, we should be bending over backwards to ensure they thrive.
What a fabulous story. I smiled all the way through and laughed at the little tantrums! Tulip looks adorable in onesies too! Thank you for saving her and ensuring she enjoys a long life. ❤
This might be my favorite episode.
By this time it was nearly full dark, so we couldn't see them anymore anyway.
her little “EEHHH!!” everytime something mildly inconvenient happens is my favorite thing ever. I love you Tulip 🥹🥹🥹
that smile of beaver Pokemon is too cute

The braver is incredible cute. It is adorable how she builds and smiles 💝💝💝
So adorable!! Thank you for sharing and taking care of these sweet beavers 🦫 ❤
I LOVE TULIP. What a darling little character. You guys are heroes. You have to release her I know but gosh how she will leave a hole in your lives - and a tidy house ;)
Incredible I love Tulip !!!❤❤❤
You'd have to be pure evil or completely ignorant to kill beavers. They are important to their environment. It doesn't surprise me that a place like Mississippi encourages people to hunt these precious babies.
Took my thoughts right out of mind, Regina. I do not know what is wrong with some human ? beings.
Yep. They're ignorant and evil.
@regina
I bet you don't know squat about Mississippi. Guessing you are a coastal elite. Many locales all over the US, including North, South, East, West, red states as well as blue states, have designated various animals as a nuisance for different reasons. Many of which make no sense at first glance. Nothing unique at all about Mississippi in that regard. You're just a bigot.
Bigot you know nothing about Mississippi. The same stuff happens in all areas of the country. Including where you live I would bet.
Do you realize the damage they do in some places? They are considered a nuisance because there are way too many and it just isn't possible to capture and relocate them all.
Thank You! 😇🙏🤗💖💕
What a heartwarming story. And what an example of compassion that family is!
I can't stand it how cute she looks with the white shirt and the other clothes 2 damn adorable
