    Rear doors are an odd design, seats won't fold flat, can't store much, doesn't off-road well with noisy straight axle.
    Real world reviews should scare most away.

      He’s trying to make an old school 4WD. Competition: Jeep, many issues, 70 series, very high maintenance to keep it going, yes, it’s pretty sad at the moment. 😀

    That’s a beautiful vehicle! I’d consider one down the track, but I’d want to wait to see what the next 5 years holds for them. It’s a bit concerning to put down $125k on a start up. It definitely looks extremely well made.
    How’s the ground clearance? It looks like it would benefit from an extra inch of lift in the front end.
    Edit: I just configured one and it came out at $140k 😮. Be interesting to see what ARB makes for them.

      I love the Grenadier. Damian has a heap of extras so his model today would be about $155K I think he said. I’d like a lift if I owned one. The fit and finish is very high quality and the engineering is the same. Magna-Steyr were the company, I think they did the G-Wagen so it’s really well done. Plenty of test Kms, 1.7M kms I think so I’m sure it will be reliable. 👍🏻😀

      @@Challenger4WD I wasn’t meaning the reliability, more so the company. Say if they folded, then parts and servicing would become an issue. I love the interior, it looks bloody fantastic. Even down to small details like that leather cover on the handbrake.

      Ok I get your concern. Sir Jim who owns INEOS is the 2nd richest person in the UK and this is his pet project so I reckon as a vehicle manufacturer they’re here for good now. Time will tell of course. 😀

      @@Challenger4WD oh I didn’t know that haha. Definitely no concern there then. I noticed they offer online access to service manuals for owners. That’s fantastic!

      @@JarradDRS yeah they don’t seem to mind the owner fitting accessories and doing maintenance which is refreshing isn’t it? Thx for the comments Jarrad 👍🏻

    Not a snorkel. It’s a raised air intake.

      Gayyyy

      ✅It is a raised air intake. If it’s sealed from the top to the air box you’d think it’s by definition a snorkel but INEOS are describing it as a RAI. 😀👍🏻

      No, it’s extremely macho. 😀

    The lack of an extra fuel tank would be my major concern.

    550Nm, not 650-700!

    • @Challenger4WD
      @Challenger4WD  Рік тому +1

      Yes you’re right, the petrol engine has 450nm of torque, the diesel has 550nm. Thanks for picking that up, I should’ve checked it…😀👍🏻

      @joshualeeman2855 Рік тому +1

      @@Challenger4WD, I think it *should* be 650Nm+ for the size/weight of the vehicle. At 550 it offers less torque than even the Next Gen Everest.

      @@joshualeeman2855 These are old school off roaders I think, different concept to the Everest and people who’ve driven them describe the diesel as having heaps of low end torque, they weren’t as happy with the petrol. The initial power plants were going to be four cylinder engines but thankfully they decided to go with the BMW 6 cylinder twin turbo engines. They’re very good off road which is what they’re designed for. They’ll be up against the 70 series Landcruisers I guess…😀👍🏻

      Umm, that vehicle does have immediate low down torque. Umm, some mention that the turbo lag is minimal. Umm, hence the engine hasn’t been over-boosted. If commit to buying a Grenadier, then get it chipped to seek out more torque!

    • @Challenger4WD
      @Challenger4WD  Рік тому

      Are you for the Grenadier or against it? I’m a fan of it. In Europe they’re concerned about emissions, fuel consumption etc not just torque and power but no one seems to understand that? It’s not a drag racer. 😀
