Hey Matt,i used to watch your videos a year or so ago after i bought myself a cheap first guitar off Amazon i got frustrated because i would play an easy chord and my chords sounded nothing like the chords in the video even after using a tuner. I recently bought myself a Mitchell and was just thinking about about your channel but couldn't remember the name of your channel and just a few short hours later i got on UA-cam and your video somehow showed up being the first video in my feed... God is good!!

As always, I came for the lesson but stayed for the accent. I'm definitely a slow learner... partly because it takes me a long time to absorb information but also because I"m a perfectionist. I'm definitely in the category of one trick pony when it comes to strumming and this has been the hardest thing for me to learn.
Slow learner, you got one, I followed you for a few, then got to fast, Im 53, hard headed, but I love learning new things, this isnt coming easy, a few youtubers suggest just a few minutes a day, practice time,I agree, I learned one cord just now. So much to learn, who says you cant teach an old dog new tricks!
its that lovely sound in the middle of the strum that i cannot simply get the grasp of. I dont even know what its called man but i wanna learn how to do it so bad! im okay-ish at doing the chords on their own and in time just cannot even fathom how to fill in between the chords the way you do!
At 58 years old with MS you have unlocked a new world for me. Plus learning the Guitar is helpful for my cognitive problems that comes with MS
I just realized I like watching someone play and talk to me more than i enjoy practicing
