Hello Matt, I have kind of a common story I think. Always wanted to play acustic guitar so I purchased one end of December. I purchased an acustic of Amazon super cheap 85 bucks. Ya know just in case I don't stick with it I didn't waste too much money. Anyway a friend told me it's a great campfire guitar lol. So I'm using your videos exclusively. The way you explain things and go slow at times makes it easy to understand. I so appreciate it. I saved some of your videos to get to them. Right now I'm able to make the chords Em, E, Am, C, A, G and sometimes D. Basically I'm working at changing chords, making the shapes faster. I have a crazy schedule so I practice in like 15 minute intervals once or twice a day. Well, thanks for doing what you do. Cold up here in NJ great to have an awesome new hobby that I can take outside come the nice weather. Take care
Try angling your pick at an angle like this from the strings \ the tip of the pick angled towards the sky, your pick and the body of the pick angled away from the guitar. Tip \ Body of the pick Don’t strum with your pick straight like this -
Your getting good at this beginners tutorial good for you good lad slap string I've been playing a while and I still struggle with slap string God only knows why but just can't seem to master sound god bless to you to not a god believer my self as I have my reasons illness and a baby death made me question that but everyone is in title to there own beliefs and it does not hurt to return the compliment believer or not but I do believe in life after death as I have witnessed something that I have no logical explanation for with my own to eyes so there is something there that's for sure

Thank you! It seems this is a possible area for me at this point. A fused wrist has me trying different techniques.
This is great!! But my pick moves around ALOT when I try to do this

Try a thinner pick
Dunlop makes a pick with a grip on it. I’d definitely suggest it. I use them exclusively. Just makes me feel more comfortable.
