I respect Bale a lot. He's one of those who understand and believe in a professional's dedication and sacrifice to his life's work, like his character in the movie :)
What a fascinating actor this Christian Bale is. Ive practically seen almost every movie he has been in (brilliant acting in all of them) and yet i do not know shit about this person, which is quite a special thing given the fact that nowadays you can know even what underwear celebrities are wearing. And i guess one of the reasons is that he doesnt seem to be in many interviews or shows. Lots of respect for this man
He's a brilliant actor. He is incredible on stage and has won two Tony Awards. He was amazing in Les Miserables, Prisoners, and The Fountain. He was so much fun to watch in Australia. Comments like yours, if anything, make him underrated.
Quite sad to see Christian talk about his mother, when now he hasn't spoken to her for like 4 years or something since their fight. I hope that one day they can put aside their differences and get back to being a family again.
Bale was fantastic in that film. A tremendously engaged actor with a lot of depth and like Depp he always brings something original to the work. I guess why they're offered the roles that are unique.
Omg the Wolverine vs Batman conversation cracked me up!! These two are talented actors, their careers are here to stay unless they decide to quit. But it gives a funny insight into the random conversations that famous actors may have with each other... "straight-to-video" :p
I like the part where Michael Caine's character, Mr. Cutter says to Christian Bale's character Alfred Borden "I suppose you have such a trick, Mr. Borden". He says "I sure do" and Hugh Jackman's character, Robert Angier says "Ooh", in an interesting tone.
Their talk at around 4:30 made me think what a clever bit of casting it was - Jackman is a natural showman, doing musical theatre and so on, and Bale is more prickly and intense.
Hugh Jackman looks very nervous and uneasy, unlike Christian who looks very at ease, and confident. Range wise, Jackman has nothing on Bale's acting depth. Jackman was in the presence of greatness and he knew it. ;-)
10:03, Bale's reaction to JackMan's idea is priceless. Holy shit, what a cool guy Bale is. That was a bit douchey of Jackman to suggest that in the first place.
After watching this,it should be 'mandatory' for Christian Bale to be interviewed only by people he knows personally as he seems way more at ease and laid back than in his usual interviews where I can't help but get the impression that he is about to punch out the interviewer at any given moment!
I thought i was the only one to notice that, since there are no other comments about it. I know if I was being interviewed, I wouldn't like having my knees hitting my co-star's, even if this co-star is Christian Bale or Hugh Jackman
Hugh Jackman always has such a light feel to it. As if you'd feel completely comfortable with him even if you didn't know him, imagine going out drinking with him. Christian Bale on the other hand feels tense to be around.
to clarify everyone has a certain accent or speaks a particular dialect when it comes to English i went to school and worked as an artist in the UK for many years and sometimes have a noticeable accent myself THE Prestige was a great thriller if you have a strong intrigue with magic or thrillers of any sort and you get to see these two great actors square off Brits represent !!
@MyMerlin1 I prefer his british accent way more too. but the only reason he sometimes has an american accent is during filming a movie and to avoid people getting confused
Yo I would totally pay to see high and Christian fight as their iconic super heroes... I would I'd love to see that happen other than that this was a cool interview for Uncsripted.
genius performances you guys should check out this music video 'time machine" by kinetics & one love, they pay homage to this movie and it's awesome to see its vibe captured in a new medium
You'll find that with many actors who take many different roles, their accents change depending on what character they are playing and it usually sticks with them for a while even when their out of character. For the prestige he was a Londoner but in batman he plays Bruce Wayne, an american, hence the accent change.
they are more like superman and batman in their personalities, i think bale would have been a better and deeper wolverine and jackman a lighter batman not necessarily a better batman though..but i like them both for what they hae done already brilliant
they should make a crossover Batman&Wolverine with Chris Nolan as director, DC-Marvel patchup, give us one good film after , crapfests like GreenLantern,Iron man 2 etc.
OMG...just imagine: Wolverine, Batman and Iron man in one movie!! i know it's not impossible...but, PLEASE!! Can anybody do movie with Hugh, Christian and Robert!!!!!
who would win in an ultimate fight? batman or wolverine? DEFINITELY wolverine, he has healing powers, no matter what kind of gadgets or stealth attacks batman may use on wolverine it will be ineffective.... plus his adamantium claws will totally rip batmans armour wolverine is badass but batman is awesome too cant wait for dark knight rises!
Christian Bale is freaking gorgeous in this interview!! Jackman gets better with age...
I respect Bale a lot. He's one of those who understand and believe in a professional's dedication and sacrifice to his life's work, like his character in the movie :)

Batman & Wolverine.
Two brilliant actors!
I wouldn't say that Hugh Jackman is a brilliant actor... he's pretty awesome as Wolverine though...
He's a brilliant actor. He is incredible on stage and has won two Tony Awards. He was amazing in Les Miserables, Prisoners, and The Fountain. He was so much fun to watch in Australia. Comments like yours, if anything, make him underrated.
I laughed so hard at Christian's reaction to Hugh's proposal. That was the most insincere "sounds good" I have ever heard. God, I love Christian. :)
I smiled through this whole interview!
Quite sad to see Christian talk about his mother, when now he hasn't spoken to her for like 4 years or something since their fight. I hope that one day they can put aside their differences and get back to being a family again.

I'm absolutely in love with Christian Bale! Amazing actor amazing guy! ahhh
Bale looks so handsome with long hair =3
aww man, i could listen to these 2 all day!!! awesome banter!!!!!!
Omg the Wolverine vs Batman conversation cracked me up!! These two are talented actors, their careers are here to stay unless they decide to quit. But it gives a funny insight into the random conversations that famous actors may have with each other... "straight-to-video" :p
My gosh, they both look so lovely! *happily drooling *
To much sexiness in one video!
I love christian bale, david bowie, this movie, and this interview.
I could just watch this so many times because it's so incredibly comfortable and they are so charming
:')))
I'm in love with their accents
It's nice to see Christian more relaxed, usually he looks rather rigid doing an interview :)
The best part of that interview is at the end when Bale says "I don't want to be like the Olson twins".
This was one of the best movies, so underrated.
You can really see how great the casting was in this film. The stage presences of Jackman and Bale has a similarity to Algier and Borden.
I love how he smiles and says "sounds good", but his face says, "Hugh, I'd could probably kick your ass"
When I saw the thumbnail, I thought it was Keanu Reeves xD
ohhh Christian Bale ... I would say the same thing Sara said in the parking lot in "Laurel Canyon" ... is terribly beautiful!
They're both great in the Prestige and the movie is awesome ! Hope to see them working together again, they seem to get along :)
Their accents are to die for
It's 15 years now lmao.
They both are beyond adorable
that movie was perfect.. perfect cast, perfect director, perfect storyline! It's one of my favorite movies
agreed Christian Bale is an amazing amazing actor.

Too much hotness in one room.
I ♥ Christian Bale
Those are some nicely flared jeans
Hugh Jackman looks very nervous and uneasy, unlike Christian who looks very at ease, and confident. Range wise, Jackman has nothing on Bale's acting depth. Jackman was in the presence of greatness and he knew it. ;-)

Yes Bowie as TESLA was amazing.
After watching this,it should be 'mandatory' for Christian Bale to be interviewed only by people he knows personally as he seems way more at ease and laid back than in his usual interviews where I can't help but get the impression that he is about to punch out the interviewer at any given moment!
i love how this is just an easy conversation between these to :)
two of the best actors nowdays
Christian Bale has perfect hair
why do they have to put the chairs so close facing each other? it's so distractedly awkward..
I thought i was the only one to notice that, since there are no other comments about it. I know if I was being interviewed, I wouldn't like having my knees hitting my co-star's, even if this co-star is Christian Bale or Hugh Jackman
bale kills jackman in the acting category
Hugh Jackman always has such a light feel to it. As if you'd feel completely comfortable with him even if you didn't know him, imagine going out drinking with him. Christian Bale on the other hand feels tense to be around.
I'm so in love with Chris
Such a good film-such sublime acting!!
Christian Bale all the way!
Christian you adorable bucket of fluff.
The amount of sexiness in this clip is too damn HIGH!

I love it when Hugh says "I love Argentina ... I love Buenos Aires", that's the city where I'm from! ♥
I have a stupid smile in my face right now!
Christian Bale looks like Messi in this.
i think these two have a friendly rivalry because they compete for roles constantly!
I LOVE THIS. They are both so amazing, zomg.
2 of my favorite actors !!

That's cool that they did this. That was an awesome movie, especially with batman and wolverine.
thanks for this!!
Batman is much smarter and would prepare and find his weakness.
Christian "Batman" Bale
Hugh "Wolverine" Jackman
loved the interview! thnx for posting! haha
you sir, are perfect!
Aww, such a good interview!!
That's the thing though, I've never seen Christian Bale be that friendly in an interview. He's no good talking to complete strangers.
I really hope Bale works with Nolan again after The Dark Knight Rises.
holy fucking adorable, Batman!
"Sounds good! Sounds like a great idea, Hugh." *gives everyone else in the room a "he's a weirdo" look* HAHA, man, Bale.
They are both adorable & so funny haha. I'd watch that straight to video movie.
Wolverine and batman!! this is so cool
i would watch the prestige just because both of them are in it.
simplemente es todo un deleite verlos juntos
Wolverine and Batman in one interview... I think I just had a conniption.
they are more like superman and batman in their personalities, i think bale would have been a better and deeper wolverine and jackman a lighter batman not necessarily a better batman though..but i like them both for what they hae done already brilliant
Wolverine and Batman in one interview? Oh god. m meltinggggggg.. So much hotness.
@doctorgreen97 wolverine has indestructible claws, batmans suit is only made for normal stabs
hot accents are flying.
Batman all the way!!! ❤
He so doesn't have a Welsh accent ... I mean his British accent in general sounds put on.
I loved that movie.
batman would win
Batman and Wolverine working: "Where were the other drugs going! Bub!"
I love The Prestige!!!!
Its also funny cause in amalgam comics wolverine and batman are the same person. Logan Wayne IS Nightclaw!!!
Bale has a Welsh accent but he can speak American for films, wonder how the hell he does that!
they should make a crossover Batman&Wolverine with Chris Nolan as director, DC-Marvel patchup, give us one good film after , crapfests like GreenLantern,Iron man 2 etc.
poor christian and Hugh, looks like there is no leg room
Isn't there a law against having so much hotness in one room?? Like, there must be rules or someth-
*faints*
BATMAN> WOLVERINE, but I ♥ them both.
subtitulos en castellano? alguien puede hacerme el favorcito... porque de todas las preguntas me quedan partecitas sin entender... :(
The hotness level in that room is too damn high. *q*
I love chriss
OMG...just imagine: Wolverine, Batman and Iron man in one movie!! i know it's not impossible...but, PLEASE!! Can anybody do movie with Hugh, Christian and Robert!!!!!

Its a bit awkward, that Batman from DC and Wolverine from Marvel is here
