Once a cow figures out how to climb through a fence, they just keep repeating it. Pretty soon you'll have steel gates up all around that area. "It's funny!" said no rancher ever.
Jeff can be "The Frisco Kid ". LOL
and once one cow figures it out, soon the entire herd knows about it.
Would take a fence crasher straight to the slaughterhouse. It would cost an arm and a leg to electrify his 5000 acre farm fencing.
Yeah, I'm surprised Mike had this miss. It is rare to see his inexperience coming thru.
I chased a cow out of where she wasn't supposed to be with my wife's suv . As she went through the gate I gave her a love tap with the front bumper, she jumped and then put both hooves through the grill!
As my grandpaw use to tell me when I’d complain about the cows done this or that. He’s look at me and say” sounds like life to me”! Lol. Man I miss him
When I started watching your Channel I thought this guy has a voice that is easy to listen too. He should be in radio or television. Then I watched how your story began and you said you were a radio DJ. Now it makes sense! You still have the voice and are very comfortable talking. I am just a city girl but my brother has a 400 acre farm here in PA. I love to visit him and see the new babies and listen to his stories. I enjoy your videos very much. Take care!
Blonde Cow: " Molasses does wonders for my complexion, don't you know!"
At 85 ',l love to watch, Living our life’s watching your life,
It’s nice to have the videos back!!! Hello to Mike and Erin and family!! Jeff I envy you!
We used to have a chromic fence crawler cow. Finally we got so disgusted that we hauled her to sale yard and thought at least we would not have to chase her back in the next morning. SHOCK! Next morning there she was AGAIN out of our fences! Turns out our neighbor had bought her and she fence crawled HIS fence, lol lol lol [he sold her soon after to a far distant sale]. We feel your pain Mike
Good to see the Summer hat is back. It feels like Summer has been a long time coming this year. Glad you're back too, Mike!
You got that right!
Love the intro “you got to be freaking kidding me!” I can’t say how meany times that’s said when you raise cattle😆
WELCOME BACK!! So happy you are back. Sorry it was crazy one. "I'm sorry to say I know it might be very hard and crazy frustrating on your end, but for us its very good and we learn so much on our end!"
Nice seeing green in the pasture. Got 2.5 inches of rain so far in May with clouds and showers forecast for tonight & tomorrow. Grass will grow like gangbusters here near Syracuse NY if the sun returns and warms up to the 50's or better
I used to work on a dairy farm and it always amazed me that an animal that could be so stubborn, and act so stupid when you wanted them to do something, could do stuff like that and prove there smart. Love the video's, and the cows! I miss farming.
Good Evening to Our Wyoming Life and all others too. Happy late Mother's Day to all mothers.
Thanks for coming back on...I enjoy watching you and the family
We missed y'all and the ranch 🌻💛🌻
It's good to have you and Erin back I know what it's like to have a bunch of cows get out through a broken fence we used to have that problem all the time
If you get tired of seeing all the ads, you can adjust your settings in order to block them. Just a FYI. Also, it's great this channel has as many subscribers that it does. My hat is off to Mike and Erin for providing awesome content. I wanted to ask all subscribers if they are getting notified when a video is posted? If not, then click the bell, and make sure "all" is highlighted. I know many You tubers who have channels and they say that they have several subscribers, but not everyone actually gets notified. Let's all help Mike and Erin reach 220K subs this year! Thanks everyone.
The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.😁
Don't we know that!
Great seeing you back Mike, we all missed you!! Once a cow discovers the "thrill" of getting out, it can be hard to get them to stay in without an electric fence to zap that naughty snout.
Sometimes life is a dance. Two steps forward and three steps back. Thankfully tomorrow is another day.
I laughed so hard when the steer fake charged Bean and Bean ran for the fence. We had a cocker spaniel who thought she was a great farm dog, but the rooster used to do the same thing. Fake charge, she would run and he would crow several times in triumph.
So glad you're back, but you deserved a vacation!🐃
Oh Mike, Good Morning !! This was so funny, perfect with my cup of morning coffee. I know what you said about the highway, but oh my. I never knew they were so clever. This will be one I watch over and over. Great to see you back, you all were missed. Blessings and be safe always !!
Glad to see you back after the 30 and 30 plus the 24 hour live stream
So glad you got a new Gator, worth every penny around the ranch!
Glad you back missed ya guys!!!
Yay! Glad your back! Jeff is a awesome hand to keep around! That is great news! Pesty Cows always trying the fence!
I'M SO GLAD YOU ARE BACK, MISSED SEEING ALL THE BABIES. YOU NEED LOTS OF CHICKEN SOUP TO CURE YOUR COLD AND WARM THE TUMMY.
Glad you’re back! Missed you guys. That was a great 30 in 30. Wooooohooooo!!
Thanks so much!!
Hey Mike, Glad to see your back I enjoyed the 30 in 30 it was thrills, chills and spills lol. -->whispering in Mike's ear when is the next 30 in 30 lol just teasing. And you know with the cows there's always going to be a problem child, so whats next for OWL keep up the good work and see you in the next video🤔🐂🤠😉
I am guessing this is a one man one cow war and the most stubborn one wins! Got my money on you Mike. Thank you for sharing! See you on the next video.
Plans change because of things that happen, break, or something else. Normal part of my life.
Missed the posts since the 30 for 30! Nice to see the calves and cows. Naughty 174! Hoping Coal is thriving!
It's great to see the GREEN coming up.
If it is not too personal, how did you and Erin meet? You mentioned you worked in Boston, but now ranch in Wyoming. Thank you and your family for providing for all of us.
God Bless
Mark
Happy to see you are back!!! Missed you all!!
First comment! I’m from the Texas panhandle and I love watching y’all’s vids great work !
Awesome! Thank you!
🤔 I was concentrating on keeping deer out of Erins gardens. But Mike I bet we figure something out to keep the cows out of the hay yard. See y’all soon. @bekaertfencing
Good to hear you have some help staying on for the summer. Also, the 30 in 30 and livestream was great and I’m already looking forward to 2022.
Glad you're back and hope you enjoyed your "rest". I was honestly having withdrawls!!!
Darn cow 😆 good thing she didn't wonder into the roadway. Great video Mike.
I once had a horse with his leg in a wire fence, up pretty high too so he must have taken a kick at someone in the next pasture and gotten stuck. The wire was cut all the way into his leg and I was sure there would be a bone laceration in there when we got him loose. He was great and waited while a neighbor came and we tried different ways to get him out, owner wasn't getting our calls about him to help as well. Finally got him out and slid remaining wire out, running iodine and cold water over his leg while he had some food and waited with us.
Another neighbor convinced owner not to call a vet or to keep him where he was to heal, and to bring him over to their pasture and let them use their homemade paste to heal him, because they knew better than to use cold water or injections (our concern was infection and massive swelling going on, their concern was a scar on his leg from it). Horse came back weeks later with a permanent deep scar and knot in his leg and lost weight from fighting infection. Poor thing. I've seen many animals go through wire and be fine or only scrapes, but that one bad time has stuck to my memory.
You look rested to tackle what each day has in store for you plan or no plan. Glad your back and so happy Jeff is staying on for the summer!
Hey I was wondering when the next video would be up.
Here you are!!🙌🙌🙌😘😘
Glad you’re back, we missed you
Happy Mother's Day Erin! and to all those lovely cows. Two of our pastures were very close to a major Hwy and couldn't afford to have broken fences. Missed "U" guys
There's one thing that I've learned since subscribing to several dairy and beef ranch channels, is that there are 2 things that will make a man cuss. Golf and cows. LOL!!
Glad you are back, hope you got a little down time you deserve it after 31days straight, miss seeing the cows
She is so smart. Watching you.
Really enjoyed your 30 in 30, even caught a lot of your 24 hours. Interesting I used to live in Wisconsin family dairy farm, I know what winter is all about. Good you took a few days off of posting. I’m glad to see you’re back.
Yayyy! Bean is starting to get out with the cows! 👍 Hi Mike, I'm glad to see back! A big "Hi and howdy🖐️ to all my fellow Youtubing OWL family! - Kim
Welcome back!
Welcome back, cows and calves look awesome. Enjoyed your video. Have a great evening everyone.
Thanks 👍
I enjoyed this video and its musical selections. Your rebel cow is a real stinker. Thanks for this video!
Glad your back making videos. I enjoy watching them. I love summer time in Gillette.
Sometimes Murphy's will get you, everyday is just a new song to dance to. I'm glad to see that you LEAD and not follow!!!!!!!!
That's some nice editing Mike! Good to see you back, hope you got some rest at least
Back to business on the ranch, they've got to test that fence it happens when your a cow and breakfast didn't do it for you, and it seems like hours till dinner! Love that hammer, I'm sure I could get one through GSA for 25,000.00
she is very clever though I had the worst day, I thought until I watched this video it really made me laugh... ty I needed that
GREAT TO HAVE YOU BACK HOPE YOU GET THE RAIN WE HAD IN OHIO GOOD LUCK .
💕Howdy Mike and Erin,I received my Hat and Beef Sticks.

Great to see you back. Awesome video. That cow is persistent for sure!
You got that right!
Naughty children go to baby jail. LOL
Nice looking calves.
Thanks, "Wish I had a Jeff" for running steers to Sturges.
How is "Everyone needs a Gary" doing?
Thank for sharing, Mike.
Missed you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One time we had a calf get into our feed yard. 🤣 It stayed for 3 weeks. The bull water tank is up against the fence there and he was sticking his head threw getting water daily.
So here's what happened. It was the end of weaning. I turned the calf's out and well there's a creek. About 1 to 3 head drown or get washed away when it rains. (500 pounds) 😶 that's some moving water lol. Anyways it rained 4 inches and I honestly looked for a hole week looking for him. I checked the neighbors share of the creek too. Well 3 weeks later I was cleaning the bulls tank and seen something was drinking water three the fence. So I gone checking hay rows and lmao 🤣🤣🤣 sadly was eating alfalfa. He was happy tho 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the video and update on what you are doing. I look forward to seeing the new fence. On the 24 minute mark with the cow that got into the hay yard, looks like a lump under her jaw. Is that something you know about, what is it? Have you thought about fencing the whole hay yard and letting the cows graze when the hay is gone? Looks like good grass. Glad Jeff is staying the summer to help out.
Welcome back!! Great to see the noification
I feel your pain but I found this quite funny. I think most people underestimate the intelligence of a cow. That included me.
You spoiled us with the daily blog. Missed ya!!! (:-D
Yay!! Hope y'all had a good week off. Y'all deserved that!! We did miss your videos, though!!
I missed youuuuu and the cowsssss sooooo much!
Mike look into the Texas fence fixer. Best tool for all the barbwire you have. Worked on a 10000 acre ranch to save me a bunch of time
I have one :)
Congrats on Jeff staying!
Nice to see you again! 👍
You too!
Do you ever use 9-wire for anything? It’s a good multipurpose wire.
Oh I could hug every one of those calfs
Hey 👋 Hay brings the cows and bulls to the hay yard! Doing cow stuff 😝 mooove along.
Mike Your herd of cattle looks good..
Jeff could be called by one of San Francisco's favorite bread, " Ole Sourdough"
She’s saying Boss you talking to me !
Amazing I have never seen a cow run.
Mike, you should try putting the staple in at a diagonal angle. That way you are less likely to split the wooden post.
You can call Jeff....The San Francisco Treat!.....if y'all remember the commercial.
You can’t blame her grass looks greener on the other side, there just a cow lol.
She's just waiting for you to leave 😆
Here is a Cow that firmly believes, Grass is Greener on the other Side of the Fence
Brand inspector? Better known as the FBI.
A hot wire connected to a Stafix for your fence buster
Boy oh boy those darn cows lol 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
❤️🐄maybe for the hay yard fencing should be made with the metal piping and no Barb wire or electric wire .attach cattle panels to metal pipes. It keeps bison in should keep cows in. Just an idea
Call him Lloyd...😁🤣
Glad U r back making videos
I bought some of their barb wire like a month ago doesn’t take as much stretching to get tight as the OK wire brand which is nice for something that’s the same price.
Great to hear the product worked well for you. If we can ever answer any questions let us know!
Life is a miracle
In addition to the garden fence we are planning, looks like @KeithTaylor has to teach some barbed wire repair tips to you Mike! Good thing he's heading out there next week. Those wobbly T-posts aren't doing you any favors ;)
I sure didn’t know they could move that fast to be so heavy.
Its scary how quick they can move from a dead stop too. 😲
174 is helping you check fences.
You always need a reliable fence checker ;)
Since I am laid up for a bit, I should be able to keep up to date. Had a run in with a crazy cow last week and I ended up with a broken pelvis. Over 4 weeks of watching UA-cam.
