So glad you made the decision to keep blonde cow last year even when she didn't show up pregnant! She is getting huge and can't wait to see her baby in a couple of weeks!
Nice videos I love to see ranchers doing their job and what it takes to do it, going to miss the daily videos after the 30 in 30 is over such enjoyable to relax by. Thank you for sharing with all of us.
Congratulations on 52 and 53. More food for a hungry world. More on the barn cats. With all the feed around, they must be critical to keep the pests in check.
I enjoy every journey you make out to see those beautiful Babs is & moms. I do like to know how this many cows keep fed, ITS A LOT OS SWEAT ,COLD YOU GET ALL KINDS OF WEATHER. YOU SHOW SO MUCH PASSION , CARE FOR ALL YOUR ANIMALS. GOD BLESS 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I start all my bottle calves on the same stuff. What I do to get them eating it is I take some in my hand and after their bottle I put it in their mouths. A small hand full one or two times after each bottle. They are usually eating it by the time a week is over.
Herd is building and they look healthy, so hoping for a banner year. Thank you for sharing the Wyoming Life on the Ranch. Bean is growing and I think he will catch on good in the next few months.
I truly enjoy your video it's make my day washing it. Remind me of my home growing up on the farm thank you for what you do and what you show on your daily basis.
I take magnesium to sleep at night. The lick is molasses? I need some molasses for my biscuits 👍👍💕. Bean’s smart, calves are adorable. Did McKinsey crack up about Bambi sliming you the other day? I can imagine you will be glad when the 30/30 is up. We enjoy your humor.
when starting calf manna, we would hold the calf between our legs and put some in their mouth- they 'chewed' it/ or it sort of softened, dissolved on the tongue. It only takes a couple of sessions before they are eatting it well, lol.
Hey Yall About the cats, why not do catch release, have them fixed to control numbers and inbreeding, replace as needed from shelters already fixed for mouse control
Why not name the ranch after Gilbert? Good of you to remember him and how he made all of this possible. "Oedekoven Ranch" would be a nice testament to Gilbert.
Helpful tip for you if you didn’t know Mike is it’s actually very beneficial to feed barn cats most barn cats have worms so feeding them a supplement food is very beneficial to him and it also gives them other nutrients that they don’t get from rodents and birds
Mike is .absolutely right! Magnesium is the most "critical" mineral for any lactating cow/s. Farmers or Ranchers can't rely on food alone to keep their cows healthy. Good video!!!!!!
I loved the way Coco Bean was sleeping on the back seat. My dog cries and whines every time we take him somewhere in the truck. I don't know if he remembers going to the vet or if there may be a high pitch noise from the drive train that we don't hear but he can. We used to have a female dog that loved riding in the truck before she passed away.
@@brianjonker510 Could be, but he never gets sick or anything like that. I think it is just a mental issue because we went on a trip from Colorado down to Louisiana and then on to Florida. He eventually calmed down but it took about 150 miles then he wanted to sleep.
according to experienced farmer we drowned two of our calves from holding the bottle up to high when feeding them it floods their lungs. We were told the bottle needs to be as low as the udder. We were watching you feed Cole and that’s how we feed our calves. Have you heard this before.
That experienced farmer is plain wrong. Milk gets into the lungs when the nipple delivers milk faster than the calf can swallow. Generally because the nipple is worn out.
You will need to make a "Bean's Wyoming Life" channel. "Daze With Jah" and offshoot of Daze with Jordan the lion" now has over 200K subscribers. Extra money YAY and extra work....LOL!
Where is "town?" MY hubby worked 46 yrs for a feed/grain co and they did not work on Sundays except for harvest season. He was the feed warehouse manager.
Howdy Mike. What do the bulls get during the off-season? Do they get the mag cake and/or other supplements too? Do they need any thing special to get ready for the next “honeymoon”?
Mike. I understand that you are not interested in subscriber ownership of calves and cows...think about an Adopt A Calf program that would allow subscribers to name a calf and follow their calves by payment of a monthly or yearly maintenance fee, which would allow you to raise calves till processing for free.
Ya... You know there's a lot of stray cats in the middle of WY. LOL However, I think some cats on the farm are making their own, and not finding their way onto the farm from nowhere. But to be honest I was shocked how many came out so quickly. Would like to see how many total.
30 for 30 is great. Thanks for the work you put in
On a positive note, I noticed Bean not barking at the cows. Thats a win!!
You're looking good Bean! Thanks Mike for taking us along.
So glad you made the decision to keep blonde cow last year even when she didn't show up pregnant! She is getting huge and can't wait to see her baby in a couple of weeks!
I would love to see her calf stay as a breeder on the farm
Bean is coming along really good. She'll get use to the momma pretty quick.
Love seeing Bean in the gator and truck with you. Awesome pup.
I have always fed my barn cats. I think they stay in better condition and stick closer to the barn areas.
they do. Just don't feed them so much they get lazy and stop chasing vermin :)
Oh my goodness, those cows were haaaaapppy to see the cake mag! I was thinking "turn around, they're running for the cake". Funny!
Bean seems like such a good ranching partner
I have watched every video of yours for the past 2 years. Still can't get over you saying "melk" instead of "milk." hahah
Had cousins from mid west and they pronounced roof as ruff and water as waater.
Your training your Bean to be the best dog ever
Nice videos I love to see ranchers doing their job and what it takes to do it, going to miss the daily videos after the 30 in 30 is over such enjoyable to relax by. Thank you for sharing with all of us.
awesome new born Angus calves #
What a Dog, Bean is doing well! Tip: We use a seat belt attachment so our dog is not all over the cab interrupting driving.
Hope you have a great day and bean is coming along well
MAG CAKE= COW MAGNET. THANKS, MIKE.
Congratulations on 52 and 53. More food for a hungry world. More on the barn cats. With all the feed around, they must be critical to keep the pests in check.
OMG the calves doing their Zoomies
Almost complete on the 30 in 30!!! Excellent job!!!
I used to use the same feed store to feed my mini herd of mini horses when I lived in Gillette.
Cole sure was happy to see you.
Good job Bean! Thanks for having us! Learn n grow.

All I have to say is Mike and family you have the life!! I am sure it’s super stressful but what a life to have!!
what is the main benefit of barn cats outside the obvious, mice? love a man and his dog...Bean rox! you're great with him and all the animals Mike!
I start all my bottle calves on the same stuff. What I do to get them eating it is I take some in my hand and after their bottle I put it in their mouths. A small hand full one or two times after each bottle. They are usually eating it by the time a week is over.
Stampede for cake!
Bean is going to be a great help to you, loved this video
We always fed our barn cats!
🙌🙌 Hello
Once again the calves are sweet.
Beans is doing pretty good. 🙌🙌🙌
I'm looking forward to seeing Bean this time next year!

Herd is building and they look healthy, so hoping for a banner year. Thank you for sharing the Wyoming Life on the Ranch. Bean is growing and I think he will catch on good in the next few months.
Poor Bean says those cows are SO big!

Happy Sunday everyone!
Awesome video Mike, very informative, beans getting bigger 😀 have a wonderful evening.
Those cats look well fed.
good bean...
Love the smell of calf manna. Our cats eat. They also catch lots of critters.
1st I finally got it !!!! Love the UA-cam channel. New farmer here and I’ve learned a lot over the past year. Thanks Mike
I enjoy your videos so much. Thank you.
Your guys dog is so happy that's good

Good Evening to Our Wyoming Life and all others too. Great to see you Mike and the cute calves.
Enjoyed the whole video.
Hey Yall
About the cats, why not do catch release, have them fixed to control numbers and inbreeding, replace as needed from shelters already fixed for mouse control
In general shelter cats do not have the ability to live on a farm/ranch
Love the training
Oregon
we band the bull claves and all claves get ear tag and a scour shot and the naval cord spray with iodine
I use high mag mineral help against grass tenuous!

2 hours ago posted... 2 am and finally time watch.
Gosh calf mana has been around for ever I always thought it smelled like liquorish lol

Maybe motion sickness?

Bean wants to drive.
@mike lol seeing you in you OUR WYOMING LIFE hoodie well.... I did it... but I bought a Blonde Cow.

Look Mike has cake! Stampede! Have A Day! ;~)
When your cows know you have cake, it's like who laid the rails. They actually run.

A big yaun in a dog is the equivalent of acceptance.
We used Calf Manna wayyy back in the day. Worked well for us, I am sure it will work well for you too. Works for other species too, by the way.
hey Mike love to watch you and your dog Bean with the calf Cole, how far are you from Casper?
Coal*
why did the garage door open at 12:24

Load up! Let's go!
How are the yearly calves doing across the road?
Bean needs a pupachino!
Where is "town?" MY hubby worked 46 yrs for a feed/grain co and they did not work on Sundays except for harvest season. He was the feed warehouse manager.
In the farm store and online will you be selling bean dip with pictures of bean on the cover?
Howdy Mike. What do the bulls get during the off-season? Do they get the mag cake and/or other supplements too? Do they need any thing special to get ready for the next “honeymoon”?
I love the videos though
Good to see ya gotten a friend to ride with
How many miles on the gator

but i guess some people would say what we are doing is wrong but we have a very low death ratio that works for us thanks
Hey Mike wasn't 171 the one who was crazy last year in the corrales n broke some of the corrales
I didn’t know you had so many cats !!!!
Ya... You know there's a lot of stray cats in the middle of WY. LOL However, I think some cats on the farm are making their own, and not finding their way onto the farm from nowhere. But to be honest I was shocked how many came out so quickly. Would like to see how many total.
good video man if bean can work with you working the cows with out barking she'll be ok
what have you done with the old Gator Mike?
Wow! You barely opened the bag and they came running!
Do you ever get scours on the bottle babies?
When does your forage green up? Looks bare.
Hey Mike what the heck happened to your cake dispenser
I really need to get me a Wyoming life. Now that I think about it I would probably rather have a Texas or Florida life.
Maybe a couple of Cattle Dogs????
That's what Bean is...
calf manna? what a great name for the feed. at least for those of us who know the origin of 'manna'. too bad it doesn't fall from the the sky
Hay hey Kelly mulcahy
U can buy a milk cow bread her and she can take care of her baby and the other babies calves I seen it happen all the time
