Fun video. Thanks. Regarding price… it’s competitive against a Model Y LR, though a bit smaller and a less good load carrier. My Model Y is also firm riding. Leasing prices will be key, I imagine.
The new Scenic does 370 miles, has better tech, looks nicer all round and is 5-7k cheaper. This is coming from someone who has driven a 3008 GT for past 3yrs and test driven and looked around the new E3008 lots of times recently. I have opted for the Renault Scenic (Alpine version) either way it seems like the French have upped their game massively in recent years Also no heat pump in a £50k car is wild. The Scenic does
@@eds4743 Not apples & oranges at all. They are rivals plus I’m currently in a 2021 3008 so it’s a car I know inside out. But when you say the Scenic is smaller what do you mean exactly? The Scenic has way more room/leg space in the back seats and a bigger boot. For me that is the “bigger” that’s most important not the fact it’s like 7cm longer on the outside and few centimetres taller
Have one ordered, the 1.2 Petrol Hybrid. 11 weeks ish to delivery. Can't wait! It will be my first car too! Great video, nice to see the right hand version as it's not anywhere else and I have yet to actually sit in it. Thanks :)
I like the design architecture so Vive La France! Massage seats shouldn't be allowed in the driver's seat because the last time I had a massage I fell asleep.
I tried the version with 19" wheels and thought the ride was much more compliant, but regardless of wheel size I still think it's smoother than my current Model Y, which is my biggest complaint about that car. The GT version with 19" wheels and AWD is what I'm awaiting for.
Does the sunroof open and have a real sun blind on the scenic or is it a cheap panoramic roof which heats the car like mad...or one of these fake built in screen blinds😅
Suspect there will be the usual 25% discount off list when the dealers start to get themselves organised, see the current pricing for E2008 & E308 as examples. Why Stellantis can't put a realistic list price from the start is baffling, particularly when their current approach means the car will be subject to luxury uplift for VED. They appear to be inviting the chinese brands to come and eat their lunch, SAIC, BYD & Ora must be delighted that the EU manufacturers are so inept.
We are going to Gridserve Braintree to test drive a Renault Scenic e-Tech at the weekend. On paper, and in the reviews I have watched, it looks like that BEV is a better option than the e-3008
The price new is a bit harsh.... bear in mind the £35,000 petrol model will be dreadful at 1.2Ltr and by 50,000 miles it will be shot. However, get this EV at 1 or 2yrs old and it will be very much affordable with many trouble free years left in it.
Maybe....but folks will start to be wary of this approach....as when the batteries die out....they will take 1000's to replace ....so cheaper to scrap this junk
@DrMoorehen Interesting thought and 100% relevant 5 years ago when batteries were 50,000 to 150,000 miles.... However, take a moment to update yourself and you will see that batteries are 500,000 miles and the 2025 packs are 1 million miles. Add in the simple fact that they WERE £thousands and have dropped 50% in 2023 and again 50% in 2024. Tesla battery pack in now $3,600...!!
I have a 2021 3008 hybrid4 , 300bhp 0-60 in 5 seconds , red nappa leather . The focal sound system as standard , fast car , looks well but as a phev the range is sh1te . Also £49700 as new (salary sacrifice car though) due to change next year and going for a full EV , but not another pug , not at that price . Plenty more out there for 50 bags
Ive just testdrove one yesterday, not very engaging. Its a heavy car and you feel it. Accelerating is poor for an electric car. I also had a testdrive in a kia ev6, polestar and tesla and they are all years ahead for similar money.
Hoh Hoh! Zee styling is most excellent, except the wheels. They are as exciting as I imagine @jamesmaygin 's sock drawer. Perhaps they need more cheese.
Dear Tim, love your enthusiasim but frankly the price of ALL EVs is ridiculous and the technology is not really for 'prime time', Buying an older ICE or 'self charging hybrid' makes most sense for a market where something like over 80% of us buy second hand and not new. This means that most of us will be looking at +3 year old that have just come out of lease with company/fleet users and rich people so consider reviewing cars like that. Keep the nonsense coming :) Oh, "Le Tim est stinky" - yeah I failed French too.
@jandmath EVs are made in China or all Chinese made parts because they went all in on EVs while we stuck with ICE. Our batteries and drive train components are all chinese made unlike ICE stuff which were forged in Europe.... in other words, we're fucked.
I have a 3008 diesel, manual GT, 2022....i wouldnt swop it for this electric rubbish any day of the week...the rear window view is bad enough, without this slopey roof.....and it would a accommodate our dog without bashing its head every time in the boot...NO NO NO😮
Your sense of humour is the reason I come back here, followed by my love of cars
Should be a great value buy after depreciating £20k after one year

Apples, oranges. Scenic is good, but much smaller.

OMG! A stunning, alluring car, truly next level Bravo Peugeot! 🦁

what date did you order?
@@thehitman906 3rd of May
Wow. That’s some spend on a first car. Whatever happened to people spaffing less than £1k on something 10 years old with 100k miles on the clock?!
@@davidbovine I wouldn't know anything regarding the speeds of delivery pal. Just excited it's on it's way :)
@@-Dragonfyr- plenty of money in the bank then
Great review Tim! They'd have to put the 9X8 into production before I'd think of spending £50k on a Peugeot though.
£50'000 and a heat pump is an extra £700
Seems a bit cheeky for an already expensive pug.
50k for a Peugeot!! I'd want a 50% share holding for that
**cough cough** _Stellantis_ **cough** _French govt/unions iirc_ **cough**
Literally my first thought when I saw the title of the video!
So have been owning a 206 from 2004 and a 208 from 2022. I can say Peugeot have come a long long way. But 50k thats a bit over the top :P
I like the design architecture so Vive La France! Massage seats shouldn't be allowed in the driver's seat because the last time I had a massage I fell asleep.
We can get the GT on mobility for just £499 advanced payment. It was £2499
We are having problems getting a test drive.
They told me I could not have the gt on mobility only the allure
Isn't £50k similar to a Model Y? And this is much nicer looking than the Model Y

Nice to see some sunshine ☀️
I’ve been liking the look of Peugeot of late, bu for me, this one is a mixed bag of nopes 🧐
Les Rosbif en sueur 💦
If you need a family SUV in EV flavour, get a Scenic E-Tech. Much better value, longer range, better spec and a hell of a lot lighter.
Le 3008 a une meilleur autonomie, il aura une version de 680km

Heat pump an extra 750£ when standard on id4 and renault scenic
Vous êtes assez en sueur. The French love to be funky but I will say it works very well. Man that's a high price point though
I look at the 4008 and I ask myself, why is the Citroën CX5 not a full electric ëCX5?
50k for a Peugeot e-3008 electric or not
The sensation pack should be standard.
A year down the line where will the residuals be

Drove scenic last weekend fabulous car miles better and more kit in it.better miledge and heat pump as standard. Not extra 750 on peugeout

The legroom in the back looks cramped- especialy if it is the new electric platform.
Has anyone tried to fit a wheel chair in the back?
Kinda expensive ain't ?
I put short odds on this being one of the worst depreciating cars over the next 12-24 months
It’s nice, but I’d rather have a Tiguan or a Renault Rafale, that’s a coupe SUV that’s still really spacious.

Nice car shame about the price. I would consider at 2 years old & less than half the price when new.
Could of swore he said 50k for a Peugeot 😂
The best looking small-medium SUV by far but sadly that's all it has going for it.

£50k Peugeot. 😂
It pronounced "Veloooor" !
Those pointless huge and no doubt very heavy 20" wheels aren't going to do much for ride quality
the chinese are going to mop the floor with peugeot with their low priced high range EVs in a few years... 50k is insane.
Yes, well, they are still Chinese…
