Kia/Hyundai have been having 12V issues since the original Ioniq EV and PHEVs. Mine has been boosted 8 times in 3 years by the roadside people. I ended up buying a little 5w solar panel and put it up in the window when parked so it keeps the battery topped up a bit and the voltage high enough to start the vehicle and get the DC-DC conversion going from the traction battery. Another option is just to leave the vehicle running while charging which keeps the 12V battery charging, but remember to unplug near 100 or very quickly because my Ioniq will switch to accessory mode the moment it's done charging and drain the 12V again even though it's plugged in.

@@peterscott2662 I don't currently live in a snowy region, but I spent 30 years in northern Minnesota so I know what driving in snow is like. Because of the size and angle of the rear window, all but the lightest dusting of snow would overwhelm a rear wiper. Light snow is easy enough to wipe off or you just let it blow off as you drive. Heavy or icy snow would be too much for the wiper so you'd have to brush or scrape it anyway. As for road spray in the winter, we do get heavy rain and have dirty roads where I live and the aero does a really good job of keeping spray off the rear window. In 2 years of ownership, driving in rain, on dirt, behind trucks, I have never needed to clean the rear window. It is more like a sedan than a hatch in that regard and nobody complains that a sedan hasn't got a rear wiper. I really like the Ioniq 5, it was my original choice, and there are many good reasons to choose the 5 over the EV6. But choosing it just for the rear wiper is a little silly.
Too big for the roads . Years ago everyone drove about in Ford Fiestas and spending £45000 on a car is just madness. Wonder what the secondhand value of this is after a year?
Why would you sell the car after a year? Depreciation is only an issue when the car is sold. The longer you keep it, the less dramatic the depreciation is. Also, in some markets Kia is offering a guaranteed future value program to mitigate depreciation.
question 2 if you for some reason would want to sell your car within a year, why kia of all brands their main sellings points(other than being relatively affordable) are their reliability and 7 year warranty
For me still too expensive and when I see them on the roads, just don’t like the looks. This one is a bit better looking, but to me still a weird shape.

The price is still absurd
Still no rear wiper though🤔
I have had my EV6 for 2 years now and have never wanted for a rear wiper
@@amperformance7998 Do you live where you get snow in winter? I'd go for the Ioniq 5 instead, just becuase it gets a wiper.
KIAs' designers tend to get over-enthusiastic with drawing lines to the point that they don't know where and when to stop.
Really like this but prefer the newer kias
This is a Hatchback.
360mi is 580km. Range is finally getting comfortable. Now make it cheap.
That is an old Northern Ireland reg
i doubted. The iccu is often grilled. Just 30.000 km and it blows off. So far Korea has no solution. For Owners its a desaster.
SUV? It’s a lifted station wagon.
Kia and Hyundai are pumping out upgrades like there's no tomorrow. Meanwhile Tesla is still taking forever to bring the Model Y facelift.
How does it charge on 400V chargers such as V3's? Does it still do it by the idiotic idea of using the rear motor? Basically regening?
The idiotic idea was Tesla making their chargers 400v only. Kia created a very clever solution to compensate for Tesla’s shortcomings.
Too big for the roads .
Years ago everyone drove about in Ford Fiestas and spending £45000 on a car is just madness.
Wonder what the secondhand value of this is after a year?
You'll lose about £15k within the 1st year
Why would you sell the car after a year? Depreciation is only an issue when the car is sold. The longer you keep it, the less dramatic the depreciation is.
Also, in some markets Kia is offering a guaranteed future value program to mitigate depreciation.
question 2
if you for some reason would want to sell your car within a year, why kia of all brands
their main sellings points(other than being relatively affordable) are their reliability and 7 year warranty
361mile rwd. 324miles awd
amazing!
So the area of a car - the front - that kills the most people has been made to look "more aggressive". How lovely.
never really got on with the styling of the EV6...much happier with its cousin the ioniq 5
For me still too expensive and when I see them on the roads, just don’t like the looks. This one is a bit better looking, but to me still a weird shape.
Can you use the metric system please. How come u use litres but use miles instead of km ?
Back end still looks horrible bad
That is not a big car. Model y is a small cuv in America. Chevy suburban is a big suv
Advertising charging speed as a selling point is about as intelligent as selling on top speed. Great numbers on paper but laws and the laws of physics get in the way.
I frequently attain those high charging speeds when charging my EV6.
I’d say it’s an estate
Well done Kia for ditching the DISGUSTING piano black interior trims.
Am I the only person to think that the back of the car looks a bit of a styling car crash? Just looks odd, particularly when you are driving directly behind it.
The new BYD 06 GT will be half the price and eat this for breakfast
Absolutely
Half the price? Where? In china?
Until it is stuck for months waiting for BYD to locate the controller boards that just went toast for the third time…
The new interior looks like you are sitting on an Orca!
+ 25 social credits, straight from panda Xi...
I think it looks amazing; the only thing I dion’t like, and it was the same in the previous version, is the driver and passenger headrests! They’re so ugly looking!! The EV6 would look so much better with sports seats!
Seriously comparing a Renault Scenic to an EV6?????😂
Wrong turn in design perspective :( too bad
Still got those awful headrests pushed so far forward.
😞😞😞 u do know that they're adjustable right 🤔🤔
It’s not a SUV. And who cares about maximum charging speed? The average charging speed is much more relevant to focus on.
