- How to improve at roller skating for beginners! The remaining corrective skills of 10 easy drills to learn how to roller skate. All of these are simple things you can do on skates improve your rollerskating and learn new skills on roller skates! You can practice these anywhere on flatground: outside, at home, at a rink, etc. I remember what it was like being a beginner roller skater, and these are things that helped me improve at skating! I split this video in half, this is part 2 of 2.

Toe stops are underrated. It's surprising how many people are better than me at skating but see their toe stops as useless or a newbie tool. The toe stop push off is better than the t stop push off.
That figure 8 drill looks like something I need. I'll practice it.
This was ACTUALLY helpful. I like that you offered corrective tips. It’s exhausting to watch videos that just talk about the same things over and over, trying to sift through to see if there’s anything different between them. But this one was great!

I was a roller queen in 1980 LOL They say if you do something you love you'll stick with it so went out and got me a new pair of skates. Much came back but your videos filled in the blanks, especially your drills. Thank you so much for all the help and great tips, you're awesome on skates! This 52 yr old is grateful and it doesn't bother me at all that I'm the oldest chick on wheels on my block. Transitions next!

Is like more tips on transitions and backwards skating! I’m comfortable skating forwards and shifting weight but the technical stuff is still a work in progress

My roller skating was entirely self-taught forty years ago. I knew about edging in snowboarding (and other places, heh) but didn't consider that it was helpful for roller skates. Crazy!

A video I’d love to see is how people with tight hips can do transitions. I’ve been working on stretches to try to get them more flexible, and I’ve gone from putting my feet in an L shape to putting them in a V shape, so it seems the stretches are slowly working. But if there’s a way I can do transitions WITHOUT needing to be able to go heel-to-heel, I’d love to learn it!

i love the figure 8 drill, I’m going to practice this. i got skates for christmas! i feel like my skates don’t turn as easy as yours do? if that makes sense? they don’t seem to glide. are my wheels to tight? i learned afterwards that the skates we ordered aren’t the BEST so i’m wondering if that’s part of it? i thought they’d be fine for me to learn on at first.
