Excellent job and heartwarming story....thanks for showing and let us know. Our machinist community is the best out there. Best regards from Frankfurt/ Germany.
Very nice gift back to Stephania, no doubt that meant a lot to her and no doubt she thinks of her husband each time she looks at the bronze diamonds :-)
Thats very cool, I loved the back story, what very heartwarming thoughtful gesture, would have loved to see you engrave it with their names and dates, the top of that diamond would be a good spot!
Very cool! I thought the rotary tool you used was designed exclusively for grinding. Can it take milling loads? I own one of those as well as an indexer and the indexer is incredibly beefy compared to the grinding fixture. Just a thought.
Good call. I do not have an indexer but did have one of these. Like most things with machining it all depends on speeds and feeds and how in a rush you are. With light passes on bronze there’s no issue. I also did one of these diamonds out of cold rolled steel and there was also no issue but I wouldn’t be doing any major hogging with it. The specific grinding jig is also pretty beefy and has a very tight tolerance on it which probably helps.
I just bought a mini lathe. When cutting threads is it all in the gears for the feed rate? Or is there a program or how does that work. I'm teaching myself lathe work.
@@VanoverMachineAndRepair It is a sad info :(have a great time with Janusz’s maschines). Stefania is also a polish name. It seems that thye came from Poland or have family from here. Best mate!
