I love hearing the Guardsman being both sure of themselves and this one not afraid to question a Sister. While this is abhorrent on a Core World, on these fringe planets that may not be the case. But seeing them behaving as more than scared cannon fodder is awesome and I want to see more of it!
Further, it's quite the catastrophic situation. She's probably already wrestling with her own self-doubt and questions. Making her more open to such dissent.
Plus, despite the lack of purple eyes, that is a Cadian Guardswoman. No doubt she's had her boot up a few Necron arseholes at this point.
What's the sister going to do, shoot her? It would be less painful than the necron radiation weapons or a flayer
There’s a theory that this Sister of Battle cracked after a devastating loss and this Guardswoman is a manifestation of her own doubts. Every Sister of Battle would maul you in an instant if you said something like this let alone as a regular Guard
I like how some of the 40k subreddit just immidiately assumed they were girlfriends
Well yeah, it’s reddit.
Oh ffs
Shippers are gonna ship. There's a ton of fan art shipping Celestine and Grayfax, and I'm sure there's plenty of shipfics of them too.
Speaking of "shame" as an evolutionary survival trait, I remember hearing that "blushing" is also an evolutionary trait humans gain to express shame.
A theory that's going around is that Guardswoman is a hallucination
oooooh! NICE!
VIDEO FROM THE LEGEND
Their has been a theory going around that the Guardsman questioning the sister is secretly a worshipper of chaos trying to turn her. Which would be a pretty sick twist at the end of the series we either see the sister turn (which is un likely) or after they deal with the necrons She shoots her in the back and we see the twist since there is some form of chaos on the planet.
what if she was being mind shackled to "investigate" the subject of the Sister's faith, and push how far it can be pushed before that belief shatters to the Necron definitions of hard logic.
I would kind of like it if the guardsman didn't exist, and the sister of battle was just developing an entire second set of psychoses to go along with the usual first set.
@@patrickhickey4047 that'd be a great twist, being haunted by a ghost of her conscience taking form of a guard she met long ago, and probably executed for debating the logic of the imperial truth.
actually I've seen a better theory where The guardsman is the Sister's doubts speaking to her as she questions the faith in a god emperor forsaken warzone. it provides a better reason why she doesn't shoot her.
also based on the title. this is set in the Pariah Nexus. it's literally a zone of space that the Necrons have separated from the warp using blackstone technology. I highly doubt that chaos would be here. and it would be counter intuitive if it ends with a chaos cult since this seems to be a more Necron focused Show (other the the imperium, but the spotlight always has to be shared with the imperium tbf.)
So huge potential spoiler:
The Pariah are Necrons who are trying to carve out a space for themselves between the Warp and Realspace that will be safe from everything. They cal this the Nexus. Necrons can handle most things from Realspace pretty well themselves, but since none of them have a connection to the Warp, they are pretty vulnerable to Psykers, Demons, etc. So their plan is to take human Pariahs, or Blanks (people whose connection is heavily suppressed thanks to a genetic mutation. This mutation makes them extremely adept at dealing with Psykers and Warp entities) and put them through biotransferance to make them soldier-slaves for the Necrons. However, the Necrons have something the humans don't, eternal life. Biotransferance means that you are pretty much immortal. Immortality is something lots of humans might like to have. Given the context of the conversation between the Sister of Battle and the Guardsman, it seems that the Guardsman is actually working with the Necrons and would like to have immortality.
And since the Nexus is between the Warp and Realspace it makes people's souls really disconnected from their minds, turning most people with weak-wills into almost zombies. Only those strong-willed and with lots of faith can keep in touch with their souls. So the Sister of Battle maybe willing to forgive the Guardsman's treasonous words given the difficult circumstances.
You're right: usually that kind of public questioning would get you a shot to the face. I wanna see this but I'm not paying to see it
Just pirate it.
Why?
GW deserves it@@chaosXP3RT
Adepta Sororitas, Necrons, and the Salamanders. That’s all I need to want to watch this show.
So, no creators got threatened with lawsuits, I think the only person to recieve a C&D was Arch... for obvious reasons... to stop using the warhammer title in his name. GW hired most of the big name animators in the community, the only person who was chased off was SODAZ... and that was done after they got the job from games workshop and it was done by his former fanbase turning on them and effectively chasing them out of the warhammer hobby space. I believe they still make great animations for titanfall but I could be wrong there.
The creator of Text to speech is a whole different situation, he took himself out of the 40k animation space and basically trippled his patreon income over night and imho, is making much better content now than before.
Games workshop make a public stance on their IP, due to IP laws being the way that they are, if you don't protect it, you lose it. Since making a stance they have not acted on anyone legally in regards to fan content.

Your analogy to modern Russia is quite interesting and fitting. Of all the people in Russia who are disillusioned the most, it's the soldiers, the frontline cannon fodder mobilized soldiers even more so, because in combat they face the reality of capability of russian army, corruption in russian army, the reality of ''nazis in Ukraine'' etc. Imperial Guard is in the same situation. Yes, the Imperium controls spread of information, however guardsmen engage in combat where many of these things that are normally hidden are revealed. Existence of chaos, demons, etc. and their power, these things are already something that regular citizen of Imperium doesn't know about. And since guardsmen are just conscripts or volunteers from regular citizens, then they know that government has no problem censoring things and hiding them. They're still often fanatics and don't have a problem with continuing the fight, but if they're smart they know that they might be told even more lives. In one of the books from Gaunt's Ghosts series, there's even mention of soldier who still serves, but he doesn't even really believe in God Emperor, if I remember it correctly.
Plot twist
Guardswoman was never there...
Woooooooo...
I love your content man. I'm surprised you haven't covered anything from Civ Div, considering that he's involving himself with the Russian Ukrainian conflict. He just recently made a video announcing that he's going back to Ukraine to fight again. His story is really interesting, and he's fought in more places than just Ukraine and has documented some of it on his channel. I recommend you check it out!
Can you react to plastic apocalypse I think you would like it
Necrons are *terrifying*
Nevermind the flayed ones, just the pure terror of your mates getting hit by gauss weaponry must be soul-shattering.
You should react to an incorrect summery of Ultrakill

Although you have a point about the imperium as a whole, and definitely the Guard, the Sisters are a whole different kettle of fish. They’ve been raised to be unquestioningly loyal since they were young (Lutin did a video on the Schola Progenitum, it is brutal) and then get steeped even further in dogma. Imagine a Catholic monastery also operating special forces, with religious duties mixed into the usual mix of training, weapon maintenance, tactical and strategic indoctrination, etc. It’s more akin to being under the Gestapo or Stasi. Even people you’d consider friends might turn you in for no other reason than to spare their hide if it ever got out to the powers that be that you had doubts or ideas contrary to the dogma and they knew about it but did nothing. Obviously they become more than just colleagues working so close, but not so friendly as to be each others’ confidants. Any heretical thought from a Sister would be, at best, viciously beaten out of her, at worst condemn her to execution by one of the many many ways they have to carry it out. Penitent Engines in particular are a cruel example to other sisters what expressing FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) will get you. A guardsman might have a LITTLE more leeway in that their buddies are probably just as skeptical as themselves, but you say that stuff where the Commissar can’t hear.
Of course, the loyalty and assuredness does have a benefit to the Sisters, as that actually allows them to manifest miracles through either warp chicanery or the Emperor’s actual will being made manifest. Any FUD would probably fuck with that.
I wish u watched 2 hour movie and talked it through so it would be 7 hours total. Very enjoyable nightmare.
This is Warzone Nephilim there a reason the guardsman is questioning the sisters and not getting BLAM
Considering the nature and the true horror of the universe is, imagine living your normal life day in day out, not knowing much other than chaos is bad, aliens are bad, and that through their labor and toils spirs the engine of war and that their goods is to fuel an insatiable empire in need of resources and blood, imagine one day one day as you’re about to go to work in your office an ork rock crashes onto your planet into the spire next to yours killing 90% of the inhabitants, imagine today, what would happen if an alien ship landed in the middle of the US? Imagine knowing that angles and demons and monsters do exist and aren’t just the fabled story to scare the children around the campfire, orks may seem like big dumb brutes no smarter than a five year old, but in reality orks are absolutely terrifying, where if it’s not for their bloody mindedness and pure resilience and resistance to damage but will brutality murder anything and anyone moving just for a laugh and will do so slowly and messily, necroms are a never ending nightmare as friends, family or people that you knew are turned to ash all the while screaming, their never ending onslaught never stopping, tyranids can infect the mind, body and soul, whilst the standard tyranids might drive a reasonable person insane or die from shock, it’s things like genestealers that are a big problem, where anyone can be a mutant it’s like those Russian sleeper agents, anyone can be a traitor, be it your mother, your father, friend or family hell the entire government might be infected and mind controlled where the police won’t do anything and the military is running around like headless chickens, all the while cockroaches rain down from the sky, and knowing that the eight devils summoned by chaos was actually eight of the emperors own sons, imagine finding out that Jesus was actually saten, or that the flat earth era were actually right. Or that the moons made out of cheese. Such information whilst highly important but if not handled properly then more people would reject the emperor and the imperium plunging the imperium into chaos.
Yeah, shame has a place in most cultures. I myself go by honor/dishonor but it's practically the same concept. Although it doesn't mean I self-flagellate. That's for truly mentally ill people.

Oof. Yes. I myself grew in a Jehovah's Witness household. Different flavor, but same substance.

Day 146 of asking for a friend to Tanya the Isekai demon
Blue eyed Cadian! 0/10!
don't remember this regiment is actually a cadia regiment. Its prob just a standard vanilla regiment
Cadian-pattern gear is the closest to standard-issue that the Imperial Guard has. There are random regiments with Cadian equipment and training in service all across the Imperium.
Strange that they paint other regiments insignia on their pauldrons.
