    Szeras is renowed to be one of the biggest "up his arse" asshole amongst the Necrons, and that's by Necron standard.
    The guy is convinced that he's a god and is constantly searching for a way to "ascend" out of his physical body, and become a being of pure energy like the Ch'tans and the Old ones.
    He's such an arse, that the only way other Necron lords accept to work with him is by getting paid to do so, with pieces of technology and customised weapons (he may be an atrocious Boss, but he's an exceptional craftsman, unmatched amongst his peers).
    They absolutely nailed how much of a bastard the guy is in this show

    I've seen a decent analogy of why Szeras' use of the deathmark is stupid.
    It's like getting a world-class surgeon to cut down an oak tree.
    Sure, surgeons are good at cutting things, and one might be able to manage it given enough time, but why would you even bother when you have a whole bunch of enthusiastic lumberjacks armed with Treecapitator 5000s ready and raring to go?

    Yeah there will be a second season. Which i hope for more episodes. Thats been my biggest gripe with the animations on war+ theres to few and they are short. They need to do what other companies do, a full season split into 2, Ala Transformers Prime, Star trek Prodigy. Get 5 or 10 episodes done and shown then spend the time while it airs getting the others done and have a few months gap between the split to give more time to get the rest done.
    The ending is perfect for the 40k universe, grim dark. This really made me love the Salamanders and while being kind they are just as deadly.

      They could have illuminor call this one back because of damaged engrams caused by the long sleep and not being happy that the death mark takes this long to kill what is not even a threat to the deathmark, if we are real here.
      Then there would have been time. Illuminor could wake up a second one and make good on his threats, this would also have been some nice foreshadowing.
      But they needed the "main characters" to win so they killed a skorpek that behaved like a moron with 2 people.

      Get enough people together with no regard for their own body's limit and it's only logical that they can pull shit apart. Have you ever seen what a single ordinary human can do with adrenaline? Now imagine that times 30 or whatever all swarming you at the same time. The testament to it's strength is that it even survived and presumably killed all the zombies off screen. By you guys idea of Warhammer physics, Necrons would essentially be indestructible, and almost all warhammer guns would have no effect on them. Also none of them were being stupid for plot reasons, they were being too arrogant and underestimating their enemies, which makes perfect sense for a Necron to do.
      And this "they needed the main characters to win" bullshit, so fucking retarded considering how first of it's A LITERAL SPACE MARINE they fuck shit up, and the even dumber part of this idea is that one of these "main characters" literally died, and the other is very very badly wounded in the end. Warhammer purists are so fucking cringe, Grimdark doesn't mean the "Good guys" or the outgunned force can't ever win.

    I gotta say, "The Last Church" is way, waaaay over-rated. The God-Emperor has many available options for explaining why he needed to wipe out all religion, but the edgy Reddit atheist-tier argument that was presented in "The Last Church" was a pretty shallow and amateur philosophy.
    For a being that is probably a hundred thousand years old and has seen the high water mark of humanity before it crumpled into apocalypse and knows of the existence of Chaos, he should have had a much better argument against faith than "It's stupid and anti-science", which as a concept are both wrong. I think a better author could have made a much better story than what we got.

    The on thing that was annoying in this ep is the fact that just mere humans were able to RIP OFF Necrodermis with bare hands! Its like riping space marine armor. Should not happen. Also... Single guardsman stopping running Deathamrk...even warriors are as strong as armored space marines, he shouldnt even make necron flinch.

      @@Mastercio In fairness, we don't know exactly how the damage was caused. It's implied that the Deathmark was on a time crunch and would probably get disintegrated or disassembled if the goals weren't met. While it could have eventually extricated itself from the pile once the humans got tired, that could possibly have taken hours it couldn't afford. In the interest of getting itself out faster it might have deliberately damaged itself trusting on it's survivability and repair abilities to remain combat capable. I could see it perhaps having to damage it's arm by severing and reattaching it or by setting off an explosive device at point blank (perhaps part of it's hyperphase oubliette hence why it's damaged). The stopping the Deathmark was a bit weird considering how heavy they are but I suppose it wasn't exactly a full sprint of momentum and it's possible Deathmarks are designed lighter to avoid triggering any pressure based infiltration alarms/reduce noise while moving. There's a reason Vindicare armour is less bulky than Arbites carapace armour after all.

    • @Mastercio
      @Mastercio Рік тому +5

      @@consolescrub4031we already see him getting damage from being grabed by horde of guardsmen, so he is getting damage from just that, that's should be impossible.
      Even if they lighter than regular necrons, its shouldnt be by much, they dont need it as they cant be defeated, they travel through their pocket dimension, so it doesnt really matter for them.

    • @consolescrub4031
      @consolescrub4031 Рік тому +1

      @@Mastercio Fair point on the guardsman damage but I'm willing to say they were augmented Pariah style for laughs and they caused superficial damage before he caused a whole bunch more breaking himself free rapidly.
      Lighter is still not a terrible thing as Necrons have technowizardry where if they wanted to they could probably make two identical looking Necron bodies with one able to float away if pushed and the other dense enough to crack a mountain if dropped from head height. It's iffy I'll admit but they do need to be able to remain in precarious sniping positions and it's going to be real awkward if the ledge gives out under the Deathmark even if they can teleport up to it. Deathmarks that are getting hit in melee are doing it wrong anyway and I kind of blame the Deathmark for not running sooner (I feel like Szeras has a command code to force his subjects to focus their entire attention on him when he's talking to them because he's that kind of jerk boss lol).
