I was this close to going to bed, thinking no video today. Instead, I bought your e4 course and started that while waiting for the video of the day. Time and money well spent
I like Simon because he tried hard and did all the work to become a grandmaster and now he doesn't try so hard and just has fun. I watch most of his videos because of this. You must really know the Jobava London to beat a man who made a course on it.
Not funny, just sad :( Naroditsky just put out a London course and didn't know what to do on move 5 in a online stream. They just want your money and R full of bs...
1:10 - I'm not sure +1.0 is a "free win" for lower rated players 😅 Titled players might be able to regularly convert that sort of advantage, but a pawn up is hardly decisive for beginners.
The traps surrounding 6.a4!? are well known to players familiar with the lines. So it's pretty surprising that GM Simon Williams, who purports to be an expert on it, and even has a Jobava London course, would fall head first into it. Even in a blitz game. Alex is something of an overqualified IM. He spots plans and tactics so quickly. I wouldn't be surprised to see a GM title in his near future.
I’m sure he was familiar with the lines, it’s just that he couldn’t remember the move by move stuff in a blitz game because on b4 black’s accurate way to play is …Bxb4! first. This video shows how tricky the Jobava London is to deal with even for experienced players.
GM Simon William played Jobava London course in a 15-minute game so he had more time to think not in a hurry situation like this game of a 3-minute blitz. He made mistakes and blunders in a nervous situation, i guess. An example was the youtube of Ginger GM with the title: Longer Chess Games #63 The Jobava London System
Ginger GM made a Jovaba london system on Chessable which is a best seller in Chessable. Really impressive Alex… so which course will make now for Chessable London system/ Jovaba London System?
It will be the Classical London for chessable and then I’m thinking to make a Jobava course on my own website (because they already have many courses on the Jobava).
@@AlexBanzea Looking forward to see courses on your own website, do you already own a domain? I would be the first to buy, I think you have the best Jobava content available, and explain it in a very practical way. I own the GingerGM course, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't cover these lines in it.
This is the first video I've seen from this channel. This is obviously someone who works extremely hard on making awesome content, of course I subscribd!
That’s a good question! Didn’t focus too much on the opening details cause I wanted to get right into the action. On 7…Bb6 8.a5! Gives white a big advantage
I originally learned the Jobava London from Ginger GM's course so it's quite funny to see him falling for a trap in this opening
I mean it’s nothing serious in a blitz game, but the line is pretty tricky to deal with if you don’t know the move by move stuff well.
I like his videos...Hard to believe that a GM would be in such a position so early in the game!
GingerGM is the man. This guy is biting some fame.
why is he not gm too? he is higher rated @@samharris4794
Thank you for you edits to make your explainations so clear. A lot of work that is appreciated.
Come for the content
Stay for the accent
It's refreshing to see that GM's get trapped too lol. "They're one of us! 😂😂
Everyone losses!

And comment of the day is here! Thanks a lot buddy ❤️
I've been playing Jobava-London for the last 8 months; it does get a lot of wins at beginner level and in bullet/blitz.
You played the jobava against the jobava master... nice!
Glad I dodged the Dutch! Haha

Do you have a video where you show how to deal with the Be6 defense?
Are you planing to release a course on the jabava London? I think we need it. :)
The funniest thing is that Ginger GM has a complete course about the Jobava London System!
Never easy to remember concrete lines in a blitz game!
Not funny, just sad :(

Nice idea and impressive win against another Jobava author
Thanks a lot ❤️
Sums up my impression of the Ginger GM.
Hang out with me when I'm live! twitch.tv/alexbanzea
Hi Alex! Good stuff
When can we expect the Jobava update to your great London course?
not sure, use this for now: ua-cam.com/video/YbdguiIBFc4/v-deo.html
I wish you could do a video on all of the Jobava London Traps, that would be AWESOME! ^.^
1:10 - I'm not sure +1.0 is a "free win" for lower rated players 😅 Titled players might be able to regularly convert that sort of advantage, but a pawn up is hardly decisive for beginners.
Another instructive game. Thanks
poor GingerGM, he does not deserve this... he has a course on the Jobava London... you are so mean! Well played!!!

@@AlexBanzea Well at least he didn't lose on the spot with 7...Bb6?? :)

this proves that the Jobava London must be really superb if even the one propounding it can be trapped by it in 8 moves lmao

Interesting continuation. as you say, easy to say you've won, harder to prove it. I'd have gone wrong many times against best play.
dude...its awesome... you beat gingergm

Hey Alex do you have a course in the jobava?
not yet.
Coming for the content
Staying for the accent
😁
My accent is not so bad is it? Haha
@@AlexBanzea I find myself randomly trying to mimic your accent throughout the day 😅😅😁
I laugh at the thumbnail every time!
3:08 what if they just slide the bishop back now

Nice video
The only thing more embarrassing is if jobava himself lost to this. I wanna hear Simon take on this. There's gotta be more to the story
Bro chill out, it was just a casual blitz game, the guy was probably barely looking at the screen while playing haha.
@@AlexBanzea actually, this proves that the Jobava London must be really superb if even the one propounding it can be trapped by it in 8 moves lmao
Great thumbnail Count.
Thanks a lot, the graphic designer is very talented! 👨🎨
Your game would NOT be an example of what GingerGM likes to call "premature attack-ulation"
Amazing stuff! Sadly Jobava himself rarely plays this line even during his streams
He plays everything not to get bored. It’s still always a joy to watch him throw in Nc3 on the second move!
@@AlexBanzea amazing amazing channel, I'm a huge Jobi fan, so cool to see people digging Jobava attack and keep finding new ideas
Masterclass!
Awesome!! 🤣🤣👏👏
Nice one
poor Simon
Is he a real GM?
pune te rog sunetul mai tare!
👍
Nice haircut
he was probably on the pints hahha also who embraces being ginger wtf hahha
Yes but Simon got his GM title from a lucky bag.....
Love your videos .... but the editing on this is irritating.
