Just watched your 3 jobava videos and man they are great. I’m a novice trying to learn the London. I’m a new subscriber and do like the pace and lével of explanation you provide. Thank you
Analyzes genius play by world champion. Conclusion: "so as you can see WE can still win when nothing seems to work". Haha, if only things were that easy. Great video!
Good game; excellent commentary. Curious that Bok in reply to Magnus’ Knight re-routing (Nc3-e2) didn’t play Nb4 to lop off white’s hemmed in white squared bishop (Bd3). Presumably Magnus had something in mind… but what?Anyway, very interesting game. Thxs for sharing. Cheers
Enjoyed the commentary and subscribed. You call Magnus the greatest endgame-player of all time. But there are some others who can well compete with him, such as Lasker, Aljekhin, Smyslow, Fischer. The last named champion was well-known for his perfect and machine-like technique after he got the slightest advantage. But certainly Carlsen is the best nowadays.
Generally, online ratings are higher than OTB. But not automatically. If you want to play OTB you should just jump in and do it. It can only make you a stronger player.@@Woodflooralchemist

Alas, no bridge for Black to cross the chasm at e5. Very nifty performance by the former champ. John, my boy, you’re some story teller. Excellent.
You are very good at explaining. Hidden gem in the chess community!
Wow man. You're really good explaining things. Thanks a lot for all this contents. Cheers from Quebec. You've got a new subscriber. ;o)
Thank you.

After a6 the best move for white is h3.
Yes thats all right. Probably in this game he showed, he is the best endgame, middlegame and opening player.

Rubinstein, Capablanca…
(5:48) "Rook to c8": don't understand this move - why doesn't Black play a5 himself (or maybe even Na5) to halt White's A pawn?
Good shit
Instructive game, not sure the opening had so much to do with the result, though.
Capablanca was also a great endgame player
Magnus is insane.
Watching from 3rd world Nepal

Awesome stuff. But to Magnus, Benjamin Bok is not strong competition
Poor grandmaster Bob…
