    Great coverage, thanks a lot!
    The level of play exhibited by these players in a BULLET game is just unbelievably high.

    At 3:12 seems Black should take the Bishop with B:f4 since after N:f4 the Knight there seems a little misplaced and now Black can start the minority attack with b5, so if now Nd3 Black can get in his own Ne4 closing off the e-file. So if now White Knight (either) goes to e5, Black exchanges twice on e5 then gets in his minority attack with b4

    Instructive game; great analysis emphasizing static features (pawn structure) and tactical elements. Previously didn’t think much of the Jobava London since the knight blocked the c pawn BUT chessdawg’s videos have opened my mind to its merits. The Jobava London can be play like a Chigorin defense in reverse or transpose into a Slav in reverse… all with White up a tempo on those defenses, thus interesting middle games arise. DN’s stonewall formation looks quite solid… even if he did fall for a tactic in this speed game he did succeed in stopping Magnus from playing Ne5. Magnus prying open the queenside to create isolated b & d pawns is notable as is his centralized rooks. Too bad DN fell for a tactic because with Magnus’s knight less active on g3 there was still a lot of tension and play in the position. Anyway, thanks again for your excellent commentary on a topical still developing opening. I’m learning so much from your channel! PS: would you consider doing a series on how to handle the white side of the Fianchetto variation vs 1) the KID & 2) the Hedgehog/QID defense complex? Thanks!

    Thank you for the instructive video. Smothered mate is my absolute favorite mating pattern & I almost always see it instantly in puzzles but I've never gotten it on the board to my knowledge & actually won a game with it. Are there principled ways to try to set up certain mate patterns, like smothered?

    Excellent game ! daniel played really well and c5 is the way to equality for black if he plays precise moves. Kudos to Magnus for playing e3 instead of e4 in anticipation that his opponent is very familiar to JL. In the end Daniel lost probably due to time pressure. Excellent Nd4 move by Daniel though in anticipation of the smother mate opportunity, insane how he could see it in a bullet game !

      They like very much the sharp 4. e4 which chesdawg shows rather than Magnus's 4. e3.

    It's the 1st time anyone's ever pointed out Carlsbad structure aims at King side. Thankyou! (a patzer lesson amongst genius level chess :D)

      @ham204jan Місяць тому

      It is actually a reversed Carlsbad structure with the minority attack being an option for Black, not White

    Magnus kjøper et hus ved kysten, eller bygger et hus der det må være et 2-3 etasjes hus på toppen av en klippe og en klippe og havet i sør i Norge i retning Danmark. Slik at vinduene på sjøsiden ligger i denne retningen, og inngangsdøren i retning Finland. 😁👍

    I don't know if using bullet for opening source is really a good idea or not. Edit: I guess if it's about the structure than it's fine.
