I think my biggest issue with the product is We don't really have that big gap underneath our doors. Does it keep the intruder from entering classroom? If it does work, then we could have prevented the shootings. I hope they will succeed in the future!
the doors strenght problem has been solved in other countries ages ago.. Just make the door open outside rather than in, then you literally have to break the door entirely to go in because you cant generate enough power to pull the door open with the traditional deadbolt.
I do think it might work with a door in a frame in a house. The freestanding frame flexing absorbs the energy from the kicks instead of it being concentrated on the lock. Still hilarious though

The WWE term you are looking for is the 'drop kick'
I'm a teacher, and I approve this message and this product. I'm going to get it for my classroom and for myself. Great idea, guys!
So this device seems like a great idea but you can only use it on in-swing doors. That being said an outswing door you would never be able to kick in or break through the deadbolt part of the jamb
I noticed the same thing Jeff. I'm a Fire Inspector and I specialize in school inspections to include means of egress. The doors are designed to open outwards and I was trying to wrap my head around how this would work.
@@ronaldking2619
Hey Ron I am a residential contractor here in Florida and that was the first thing that jumped up at me. Down here in Florida where we have to deal with wind codes, most home exterior doors are out swings for that reason. I guess around the majority of the country though doors are probably in swings so you can put a screen on it.
Jeff
Yup, that’s how most doors are in Japan.
I understand these guys don't have what I'm about to talk about, but couldn't something like this be designed for out swing doors? A mechanical piece of steel that is in the flooring maybe?
Obviously something like that would be expensive, but I think it would be good for schools.
@@janitorial-engineer2286 if its an outswing door, then you cant kick it open
imagine walking in an alley at night and you hear: "do the flying kick Alex".
I think maybe the best way to show their product is better than a deadlock is the fact that deadlocks can be easily picked but their product wipes out that possibility entirely. Of course the point of using force also helps but I think the fact that it can't be picked AT ALL is a bigger selling point. Given how security is a huge issue in the US it wonders me why none of the sharks were willing to invest 🤔
“I’m a army helicopter pilot”
Barbara: “and for that reason I’m out”
huge props to these guys, they almost flopped their pitch and managed to turn it around. On top on that they have a good product.
They didn't turn it around. Zero offers and embarrassment on national TV.
@@johndong7524 company worth 8 million, sold in basically everywhere, and their out of the ordinary pitch got attention by many people.
I'd chicken dance naked on TV if it means my company would get caught by public eye, even if none of the sharks gave offer.
@@kami_narisama Their out of ordinary presentation made them look like total fools on national TV. Turning around means getting attention and offers. Instead they got laughed out of the studio. Now get back to your telemarketing job, Rakesh.
@@johndong7524 this pitch on national TV made them have 4 million in annual revenue lol
@@asthecitysleepsofficial no, it didn't. Lol.
It's actually a really cool product. But that beginning was unfortunate 🤣
The frame was too loose and it was absorbing all of the impact. If it was actually in a house it would have busted through that very easily
Alex failed to open the door"
Intruders : "First time" 😂
Alex needs to learn kicking the door open from Daya in CID 😂
Barbara: I'm always out, so I see no reason to have a door in my house and for that reason I'm out 😂
I understand that they gotta make money out of investments but fact that these guys created something that could potentially protect kids in schools and not one shark offered to help those guys shows how much these billionaires really care about what's going on in our country. It's a damn shame that they didn't put money making aside to help these guys out
I agree with Jesse. The money would come in the future.
if the idea could work they would invest. They don't throw money, and for your information only Mark Cuban is billionaire others are millionaires
Or we could keep guns out of the hands of psychos
@@BucketListMo left him speechless lol
@@BucketListMo Because when you are a billionaire, you have the ability to do that. And the original commenter didn't say it is an obligation. It's surprising how this product didn't appeal to their social commitment.
The sharks did a great job of letting them continue their business. They were very wise to see that these guys are already successful and shouldn’t waste their time on sharks.
2:47 You can see Alex doesn´t hit the door with their product at an optimal place, he hits it far from the doorknob. I know they are selling their idea, but I got curious to see a destructive test with both doors.
Breaking the doorknob with the tool on their smartlock door would not open the door because the lock is on the bottom of the door so that's why I think
To be fair, he said an experienced intruder can get in in 5 kicks. Alex isnt an experienced intruder. 😂
“Do the flying kick Alex” 🏃♂️ that was amazing!
“Alex you just went down in Shark Tank history” - Mark Cuban (so accurate)
Legend says Alex is still kicking the door
😂😂😂😂😂
He broke it
🤣😂
😂😂😂😂
that zoom in at 6:32 was amazing.
All the obvious jokes aside, I love the potential application of this for schools. I hate that it feels so necessary but it’s the times we live in. Hope to see schools getting outfitted with this and keeping more children safe if the need to arises.
Its a great idea and these guys are lazer focused. In time and future R&D they will do well.
2:56 That was a straight up dying light 1 drop kick😂
Bro is level 25 in parkour
I think my biggest issue with the product is We don't really have that big gap underneath our doors. It will hit our doors even if it's not activated. maybe it got cut out in the editing process, but they didn't mention anything about that. Like do we need to shave off a chunk of the door or something?
They clearly mentioned a version that goes on top of the door, that might be a solution.
Word of mouth will win the day for these guys. Great product!
And they did not miss a beat in a hilarious pitch that went awry. Good for them and true professionals!
The last two flying kicks were IMPRESSIVE 😅😂
Seems like a great idea for classrooms
Does it keep the intruder from entering classroom? If it does work, then we could have prevented the shootings. I hope they will succeed in the future!
That's the FIRST thing that came into my head.
I hope this goes far! We need more safety procedures in schools
@@KuddosKidd you just need no guns, that's the solution. It's sad what's happening over there
@@Andre-ij8ft they point at everything but the actual solution
@@IndieBassJA26 which is?
the doors strenght problem has been solved in other countries ages ago.. Just make the door open outside rather than in, then you literally have to break the door entirely to go in because you cant generate enough power to pull the door open with the traditional deadbolt.
If the door opens out, the hinges are on the outside, and you can just pop the pins out and take the whole door off.
I do think it might work with a door in a frame in a house. The freestanding frame flexing absorbs the energy from the kicks instead of it being concentrated on the lock. Still hilarious though
3:26 this is my favorite part
What a great idea. This would be great to secure schools with what's going on with today's society
Barbara: "I love uninvited guests, and giving away my precious items so for that reasons I'm out."
These guys madly wanted shark into their company irrespective of their profit or loss. Daymond nailed it by not giving the opportunity. Learned a lesson 👏🏼🤓 (not about product, only marketing does matter)
Theyre now worth over 8 million and still sell online :)
You know you're in America when your school rooms need special locks to protect from shooters
Man, this idea seemed like a no-brainer for the sharks to latch on to. Especially when the school put an order in and they were told the doors can be secured in 1 sec flat. I am shocked one of them didn't jump on this.
they shoulda just talked about how EASY lockpicking is. and simply mentioned how easy it is to kick down a door.
There's no question the demonstration went sideways, but had it gone right you wouldn't be saying that. Simply talking about something is really boring when trying to pitch a product.
@@MrSatchelpack picking locks is a lot more common than kicking one down. I didn't say just talk about lockpicking you can demonstrate that very easily cause most locks are EXTREMELY easy to pick. There would have been less room for fault with that than kicking it down.
Alex is still catching his breath 🫁😅🤣😂😆
OMG...
I want that deadbolt.
Just wanted to add that this viral clip actually helped their business with exposure so good for them and good job alex!
Massive respect to these guys for sticking to their pitch and not getting too beat up from their little mishap
Cool product too!
The Sharks' gambit is that they HATE when other investors are on board, you can notice that anytime someone mentions they don't own all of their company a lot who were intrigued back out. They want to be the ones to put these people under their wings, they hate hearing that they'll "just be another investor"
3:02 Let's All admit this was freaking impressive
"I'm not an investor but I'll definitely be a costumer" lol what a statement
It's a good product, that doesn't make it a good business model. Sometimes one has nothing to do with the other.

Even though he couldn't kick the door open, I love the device. Extra safety will always sell
When he finally 2-foot flying kicked the door in was absolutely *EPIC*

If you don’t find a means of multiplying your money, you will wake up one day to realize that the money you thought you had, had exhausted. Investment is a ladder to climb the financial wall.

After the tragic incident in Texas(and all over the world), all schools should have these.
No? A school is not a bunker. People still needs to close doors which takes time or too late.
@@Philippe_Gruijthuijzen just because you have security doesn’t make it a bunker but thanks for your comment.
I was unaware that "all over the world" is exclusively America. Also, teachers can't even get adequate school supplies but you think they'll get the funding to replace every door on the building? HOW?
@@ccggenius It’s some truth here but all school systems are not in the same financial predicament.
I went to public school and understand how finances are low but have budgets for other essentials. It’s insane but there’s always a way if it’s important enough
Talking about physics, Alex knows very little of it I suppose. From striking at the strongest point in the door aka the deadlock to having a door frame which isn't held firmly.
Every kick got more and more hilarious😂😂😂😂
1:03 "show him how easy this is" was unfortunate.
