All they said was we use Facebook ads and sometimes Instagram. When a customer clicks do they buy from a landing page? Do they go to their website or amazon or shopify store? Do they follow up via email? Do they use fb data to re target ads for follow up sales...

These shirts are coated with a water/liquid-repellent chemical (hydrophobic chemicals). This chemical/technology has been used for at least 15-20 years for coating fabric, boots, paper so that they don't get destroyed. You can buy it in spray form pretty cheaply. I came across it at least 15 years ago in form of spray coating for workmen's shoes. This is not new and certainly requires no research and development. In fact, there is some concern over the hazardous effects of these chemicals once they seep into the earth. Probably because of legal environmental issues big clothing manufacturers did not run with it.

Honestly Those guys got this business in the bag. they don't need a a rich investor to be successful because they have something that 90% of the people on the show that don't get a sharks help, and that is an amazing product. I hope they achieve their dreams and i wish them all the luck.

That’s the thing tho, they explained in the video that they are not the only ones that sell this type of polo. Nothing is stopping a different competitor from selling a similar shirt. Their business valuation is only based on what they believe they can project for sales in the end of the year. 90% of that sales isn’t solely because of the product, it’s the “Digital Marketing”. That is mainly the company’s asset, it’s their ability to create and market with their media and so-on background. It’s not about the shirt, they are asking to invest in them, not the shirt.

@@jerikosuratos and they've proven to be business liabilities. They couldn't give them an answer that wasn't vague. "How can you show us that your sales will reach your valuation" "we will take what we know and apply it here"

85k in sales does not equal a 1.5 million dollar company. Thats how you didn't get a deal and what you have to process.

I feel they were to focused on the product itself and didn't focus enough on how to scale the business, cut costs , and increase revenue. Ultimately that's what you're pitching to investors and I feel like that's what Mark Cuban was trying to get out of them. When you create a product like the shirt you know it's great and let the product sell itself, explain a few key features, the innovation of it, and move on to how your going to get it in everyone's closet by the end of the next 2 years. The sharks know it's an investment everyone is seeking and I always feel it's in the business side and numbers where people fall short.

The bottom line was Mark wanted to know who they were going to target. If they could've said "we started targeting X by doing Y and it's resulted in Z", he would have made an offer.
