Boo guy? More like the Face of Diablo
Damn right lol
@@simchar4263 He looks like Chris Evans.
I see what you did here. Nice ^^
Nice vid. The game is better than I expected. Not sure if it is due to the being a demo and designed for latest phones.
nah that'd be the red shirt guy
I wish this guy covered other games. I like the way he provides commentary to this situation: trying to be reasonable and respectful, and also providing good arguments for his opinions.
Exact reason why I subbed as soon as I found this channel
Don’t need to call yourself as “boo guy” Fluffy.
He is using that q&a question reference to get more views on the channel, and its perfectly fine!
better that that boosette or bowsette :P
RencaR I get that, just saying that he is pretty famous on our hearts already
RencaR that came out gayer than I thought
Honestly thanks to the title of the video I could find his channel
If anything, you're "legitimate question" guy.
Soo... We have a Diablo mobile game, with no "mature" rating, no dynamic maps, an unknown monetization scheme, stripped down depth (because how can you have the same depth?), and no tangible evidence of a true sequel or remaster? I'm sorry, Blizzard, but I feel like we, as fans, deserve something for us ON the system that you've always developed on. I'm a more recent fan of this series, but I'm a fan none the less, and I can't help but see this as a slap in the face.
I don't have any diablo game (poor launch of D3 made me lose any interest) and this feels like a slap in the face for me as well
@@0koppie0 the current form of diablo 3 is very fun imo, few hundred hours into it haha, reaper of souls is def a huge upgrade to when the game initially came out. and i was there, believe me, i remember that launch.. goodness.
@@Sielys Current Diablo 3 is not bad u can still have a few hundreads of hours of fun but its old.
Most diablo players are bored with the game cause there is no new content 2014-2019 re-playing the game 100 times isn't fun.
A new diablo game should have depth - atmosphere - style of Diablo 2 / Graphics of Diablo 3 / Story of Diablo 4 / New features for gameplay.
At this point i would rather have them announce a re-skin of diablo 2 with diablo 3 graphics and to support HDR / DX12 - Vulcan
@@baynaraoa921 I agree, but from that guys perspective, he didn't play D3 much and probably hasn't played it since because of the poor launch. So to anyone who hasn't played D3 yet, i'd say it's still a fun game to get into. But of course even i find it boring now lol, who wouldn't
We have multiple diablo projects in the works. ;)

Ah, the good ol' wasted days questing on Cabal Online...
@@ok_listen Oh, yeah. Too bad Cabal Online is dead now, its like 100 ppl
@@30ppp0 Well you know, it was ruined when it was sold.. Too easy since then. And Cabal 2 is literally unplayable.
There is no COW LEVEL but apparently there is a BULLSHIT game called "Diablo Immortal."
@@foofoo3344 lol. Back in the early days of D2 if you told someone about the cow level they were like "really!? Wtf" haha it was awesome to discover for the first time, I was a kid and my dad had a friend who showed me
Starcraft Tower Defense is coming up next
Shh...They hear you
They for sure are calling NetEast to make a Heroes of the storm mobile modding their "Onmyoji arena" game.
I would be fine with a GOOD tower defense
I mean sounds fun tbh
I really kind of want to see the World of Warcraft community response when Blizzard makes a major section of the Warcraft story line as a mobile mmo as opposed to an expansion in the main game.
"We think that if you've spent $1500 on your PC, we fully expect you'll spend another $1200 on a new phone to play a half-baked version of D3."
Liofa I bet my ass my 153$ xiaomi redmi6 can run this game just fine
You'll be spending more to open lootboxes. Just like in hearthstone, you can grind to open chests or just simply pay up. Chests can get you gear and buffs and crafting materials.. not too mention there will be skins or costumes for sale... probably mounts and pets too!
Liofa what kind of mobile do you buy. There are very good ones for $350
You must only be familiar with Apple products, ya drone.
Lol yeah
Would you like to identify your legendary? Only 1, 99.
OH you are already level 100 here have some legendaries and don't forget to upgrade them to +69 (after +10 you need special and rare crystals only 0.50$ per crystal or u can farm 2-3 a day "Needed amount for 1 upgrade 30")
Or wait 48 hours
Probably not. Even if they implement some "energy system" or "slow opening chests" mechanics - I wouldn't be to afraid. Even Clash Royale and Clash of Clans are playable without putting any $ in game. Vainglory, which is 1 good MOBA game on mobile is also playable without cash.
For real.. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so bad.
@@Rettanichan sure its "playable" but its also "payable" and that is lame .
I started playing Path of Exile after Diablo Immortal announcement, and man I am sad I didn't try it earlier
Zeb I’m so two sides on downloading it. I don’t wanna waste time having high hopes and it turns out being below average
@@pazu2934 Can confirm, Path of Exile is the game you are looking for if you want a modern vision of Diablo 2. I've only just stumbled upon this vid due to the controversy and I stayed for the Hosts manner and approach. I wonder if he has played PoE and if so, I would be curious as to his reasons for sticking with D3 for all this time, with the Twitch and the Conventions and the sheer loyalty to a game that is a far cry from the product that spawned it's fame. When Fluffy said people kinda raised their eyebrows at synergising skills I said out loud to my computer that this is what PoE have been doing for about 8 years now, made me laugh that D3 players are looking for this kind of playstyle when it's been under their noses this whole time!
I played diablo alooot then I played PoE alot haha. But take a look at Lost Ark it has been released 2 months ago in Korea and will come to EU this year.
Can confirm PoE is absolutely amazing. It's more of a successor to Diablo 2 than anything.
Diablo 3 bae
I mean.... look at it.... mobile or not, why would I want to play this? It looks like a dumbed down, ugly version of Diablo 3.
This doesn't look like it's own thing, just a ripoff.
We know nothing about it yet so it's hard to tell i guess.. All we know is that the gameplay is supposedly very good, at least according to everyone i've heard talking about it who has tried it. That's usually enough reason to play a mobile game.
Sh0cklyz I think it’s a little unfair to say that until it’s fully released. It is likely they will update the graphics and gameplay as it gets closer to release. What I’d be more concerned about is if they do lots micro-transactions. If they do that it will be a shit show.
Personally I think it’s fine they want to try a mobile version, but, they read their audience terribly. Making Diablo: Immortal a big announcement at blizzcon was a bad idea, at least the in the way they did it. They should made it a small announcement then shown early concepts of Diablo 4/gameplay if it’s available. Or even show a logo of Diablo 4 just so the fans know it’s still happening.
Meant for Poor Asians or Asian Kids that can't afford Console or PC. only the rich one will spend alot of money to feel elite.
@@PhotonUponLight This is it...
@@PhotonUponLight Right, but the game will run on the phone that cost the same amount of a decent gaming laptop, yup for the poor asian or asian kid lamo xd
I'm very glad you actually reviewed this in a constructive way, and not just blindly hate it.
I mean the way they handled blizzcon was disgusting, but still. Blind hate helps nobody.
You can see the disappointment and sadness in his eyes ☹️
Well, this mobile game already has plans for constant updates. While Diablo 3 is having a hard time coming up with ideas for seasons.
*our
@@Lmfaocj That's pretty scary since POE has had like 15 leagues now, and all but about 3 of them have been pretty darn good. If a relatively small developer like GGG can do it, there is absolutely no excuse for blizzard. The truth is, they pull D3 devs off the project years ago
Yeah they put them on Diablo Immortal.
Guessin they didn't make enough money for D3 expansions. And mobile is an ez cash in.
I am happy I quit Diablo after Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. Blizzard is not the same anymore. The original developers are long gone. Diablo immortal will hit the chinese market anyway. You fans are not the target audience anymore. I think the salesmen on stage made this clear.
well, Diablo is not really big enough to affect world wide right now
Diablo 3 was garbage.....
Agreed. Some parts of blizzard is cool like the wow team and the hearthstone team, but I don't like the rest of blizzard. Seems very pay to play to me
I think Diablo 3 is an OK to great game for a handheld. That is why the switch version is actually kinda good. It is bad for a diablo game. It depends on the standards that you have. I wouldn't recommend diablo 3 for PC. It is to simple for a PC game.
Same here. Stopped at 2, the real one.
Blizzard is definitely out of touch. I’ve been playing since Diablo 1 launch and it’s been a strange trip with Blizzard. Money changes people and companies.
Sort of. It's really just Activision. I knew the day that Activision bought blizzard that the company I came to love through Brood War and Diablo 2 was dead. And I was right.
Yeah it’s sad to see.
so true. i started with diablo 1 too and it was dark and obscene. you could really feel the games darkness and dive into the world. d2 is my personal favourite. not so dark, but fantastic game play. and then there is d3. comic graphics, if you ask me.
my point is from game to game you can see how its getting less and less diablo and more aimed towards broader spectrums of buyers. it was once made for adults and now it goes in direction of a game for children.
maybe its because the guys from the first diablo games arent involved with the new stuff. or rules have changed for games or whatever. no naked witches, no goore and all, i dont know.
everything once was better and more exclusive it feels. now its all living off an old reputation and making as much money as possible in this big corporation that has nothing left from the original minds behind the game.
blizzard north, blizzard, activision blizzard just arent the same guys, only the name is similar
General Anubis Blizzard obviously saw a gain in selling out to Activision. So in the end they aren‘t any better themselves. They did profit from the merge. Monumentally at that.
EA is very successful in mobile market.
Incase u dont know, *Blizzard North People made Diablo 1 & 2 - the genre defining games.* Diablo 3 was scrapped, the lead david brevik of Blizzard North was let go and *D3 was remade with Activision Call of Duty devs that had migrated to a new office of blizzard called Blizzard South.* Diablo 3 was not the brain child of the Masterminds of Blizzard North (Classic Blizzard), but Activision Blizzard South (new ppl to both Blizz & Diablo) with SOME designers like travis day still on the team....incidentally he has also left blizzard & Diablo early this year....its different ppl and the new ppl dont know what they're doing...
I don't think it's right to say they don't know what they're doing. D3 is 100% not the same type of Diablo game that the original 2 are. But it was still enjoyable. And in many cases, much more polished.
I recently booted up D2 after finally finding the cd case (cd keys sure are a pain now a days.) And I'm definitely having fun, but there are a lot of quality of life changes from D3 that D2 is extremely hindered by (melee attacks are super sluggish, the menus are HUGE, the map uncovers too much so its easy to miss enemies in some nooks and crannies.) D3 is just much more polished, it's just not the same experience thematically (D2 at least ATTEMPTS to have a coherent story. "you happen upon Tristram, and decide to help that way you can keep trying to get somewhere safe but the Dark Follower's influence keeps going ahead of you."
D3 just kinda has you do things under the premise "you're the chosen one, so kill the monsters! Corrupt emporor? Go kill the demons behind the court! Let's go stop a war! Let's also stop the war in Heaven! _Go stop the angel of Death from ending the world._"
That's why i don't want diablo 4 ,i want diablo 2 remastered.
@@ebbandfloatzel The difference in polish MIGHT be due to the fact that one was released 10 years after the previous entry. MIGHT have, just a small amount of time, 10 years.
D3 is still good. Been playing since Warcraft 1/Diablo 1 on pc. Dude, I played Warcraft 2 on ps1. D3 is pretty good.
You know if you complain about D3 you can't complain about a Diablo Mobile Game? Cause Blizzard North was actually working on "Diablo Junior" for Gameboy which did get cancelled due to the fact that they couldn't have used Battle.net on a Gameboy...
I don't share the trust you have with the game as its presented and as Blizzard has talked about it. I don't find it even a little bit credible that they don't know how they're going to monetize this game. I think probably part of the reason the inventory wasn't available was that it'll tie in directly to the shop. There may be details that aren't settled, but in a partnership like this, the basics are already known. It's gonna be microtransactions. 100%. How aggressive these will be I don't know, but it's not going to be a game with an upfront charge.
I can see his point to an extent. If it is good, then we get good new diablo content. If it is bad, then Blizzard is forced to improve. Unfortunately, mobile gaming spits in the face of logic. Those "games" make massive money regardless of quality. The developers are rewarded with the highest profit for the least effort. It is depressing.
@Josh D This has nothing to do with self respect, or standards.
"you had done 10 dungeons this day, wait 24 hours to play 10 more or pay a "revitalize potion" for 0.99$ to play now"....
yo josh d this is the internet im pretty sure 99% people blatantly chuck shit out their mouth with absolutely no credibility xD
Pay $0.99 to identify the rare item you got rawr XD
I am being 100% objective here: This does not look like a diablo game. The atmosphere is not there, the immersion is gone also. This game is in the early stages and it already took a wrong turn. I wish they stop calling it Diablo to be honest. This is what bothers me the most. It's like calling George Clooney "BATMAN!" in front of Christian Bale.
it suits very good for diablo 3 imho...
Ewwwwww....resisting urge to argue why christian bale was also a terrible batman...lol
@@daedum3177 This is why I compared it to George Clooney. Not saying he was the best Batman :)

Blizzard: we're not interested in developing for the western audience
Western Audience: DON'T BUY THE GOSHDARN GAME
Bottom line, the only voice we have as gamers (that the industry cares about) is our wallets. Buying something like this or fallout 76 tells the companies who make games, yes this is what consumers want, make more of these. If Diablo Immortal (and every other mobile microtransaction farce is a miserable financial failure maybe the companies making them will get the idea that THIS IS NOT SOMETHING THE WESTERN AUDIENCE WILL BUY.
Vote with the wallet lads... vote with the wallet
I played couple mobile games before, and I was suprised how much money chinese players can put into a single game. All the top vip rank players are chinese and they have spent thousands of dollars to hit that rank. It's like if the game allow you to pay to win, they will pay
Literally everyone wanted Fallout 76. The execution was poor, but everyone wanted it. Elder Scrolls Online wasn't the same as having Fallout/Skyrim multiplayer. Western audiences/Bethesda fans 100% wanted a game in these series that had multiplayer capabilities. Execution was just terrible.
Blizzard: we're not interested in developing for the western audience
Unfortunately, it's not meant for the Western audience, which pisses me off even more.
This has Chinese Yuan written all over it.
Players: "Why did you make this horrible game for us? We wanted a PC sequel."
Blizzard: "Its not meant for you, we made it for China/Korea/Japan.
pretty much no one lined up to play this at blizzcon lmao. Good video btw
I love how during interviews they keep saying everyone who tried it came away feeling positive but don’t mention that almost no one came up to try it compared to things like new heroes in hots or ow
One of my favorite photos I've seen is the crowd control barriers set up with a sign saying "Enter to play Diablo:Immortal here." And you can see all the way down to the demo tables. There is NOBODY standing in the way, waiting to play the demo.

You had the smartest question I've seen asked at blizzcon so far. Now that we're calming down your still asking the right questions. You've got a new subscriber keep up the good work.
I get the strong impression they’re pushing to move all further development towards mobile Diablo. It’s a shame because the PC fanbase will come out the worst in all this, from a marketing point of view it makes sense for Blizzard to do this. Financial gain has overridden fanbase loyalty unfortunately.

This "new" mobile Diablo game essentially looks worse than Diablo 3, and a knock-off of another game made by the true developer of "Diablo Immortal" (NetEase).
Activision Blizzard: "Diablo is in your mobile hands NetEase...we want money from the East's microtransaction tendencies."
Instead of advancements to this beloved game, we got a DOWNGRADE!!! THIS IS WORSE THAN DIABLO 3!

I 100% respect demo quality versus final product quality. With that said, I don't see how there can be anything more ground-breaking via mobile that we've seen here in the demo.
I really like the "combo" skills where one skill interacts with another skill. Awesome mechanic added.
For a company as big and RESOURCEFUL as Blizzard (or now Activision really...), we 'ought to get a PC platform product that far exceeds mobile static map crawlers.
@@MAKIUSO Man perfect analogy. The monkey parrot team...so sad.

Did anyone else see this guy at BlizzCon and think "Chris Evans' younger, sadder brother"?
awww, :(
he said his voice was trembling because he was so angry not sad
Unseeable 😭😭🤦♂️
Not at all. Chris Evans is way hotter.
My biggest issue is that this game has nothing to do with diablo in the slightest.
- no gore
- no violence
- no atmosphere
- no horror
- no darkness/grittyness etc.
Everything just looks like some generic "epic mmo" where you are the champion that just stomps monsters. Diablo 1 and 2 were vastly different. Sure you could obtain a lot of power, but only after A LOT of work and even then many things were still SCARY. This was also my biggest issue with Diablo 3. "THE NEPHALEM", being hyped into infinity with their awesumnessss. This has nothing to do with the core Diablo feel. It more seems like a hybrid of warcraft and lord of the rings. It is clear that they do not want to please the core Diablo fans but rather target the broadest audience there is and especially want to make the game "china friendly" with no imagery of torture, blood, gore, violence, nudity, symbols of satan etc., hell they even removed the black characters (namely witch doctors) to make it more china friendly.
To someone who got into gaming with Diablo 1/2 and still plays these games after over 16 years.. this is just pure sadness to see a compary ruin your favorite franchise for money.
You're one of the guys who've never even played D3's true MAIN game mode which is NOT the stupid campaign and probably never even raised the difficulty mode. Randomly created freakishly hard rifts is the actual game. Equipment combinations that totally change your abilities and how they work is the actual game. Trying to find the new best possible build to reach higher rifts is the game. People who've only played the campaign mode and only played it in the beginning when auctionhouse and lack of loot was a thing have never actually experienced what makes Diablo 3 such a great game.
Have u guys played any of them prior to d3 cause u folks defending d3 obviously don’t know what diablo is about and if not than ur just not going to get it maybe u should go play immortal and leave the real diablo to the ones that truely loved the real diablo but ur right d3 has a shit story line, shit characters there is nothing to capture a persons interest but what true diablo fans are trying to say is we were there from the start and to see were it has gone and were it’s going it’s very disheartening
@@charlesphillios3658 Yes, of course, I played Diablo 1 and 2 the day they were released. Hated 3 upon release, but it has become a truly great game since then, with simply tons of long-term appeal.
I won’t say it’s a horrible game but I can’t say that it’s a good installment of the series a game should be more than about gameplay it needs creativity mystery and awsome atmosphere something that should grab hold of u and take u for a ride d1-2 had all those intersting, spooky Emersive storie some will agree and some won’t but I’m not going to get into something that lacks in all those areas that’s just like saying “man I went to the movies I know the movie was dumb as fuck but I just went for the soundtrack” don’t u think u deserve more than that
but seriously.. from NETEASE. NOPE. the reputation NetEase is like the lowest of the low. more like a scam

I played Rules of Survival before, there are a lot of cheaters but NetEast doesnt give a crap, they only care on putting as much as microtransactions like cosmetic items, Lootboxes and etc. I played it again last month after 6 months of break, the game is still full of hackers and cheaters.
I would’ve preferred blizzard make their own fucking mobile diablo
doesn't matter if Blizzard is producing it because it means they get final say on EVERYTHING bar none. And when has blizzard ever forced you into any p2w scenario hmm?? Like Fluffy said it's blizzards reputation on the line so why would they allow something with their name on it that they knew was going to upset their audience? You'd have to have a pretty big head to think you could think of reasons that they couldn't... This whole fiasco is a mungo overreaction from the community and honestly embarrassing to be associated with...
I'm pretty sure that Blizzard will double or even triple check anything before release of this game. They'll probably will also ban cheaters more actively then NetEase. Let's not have an opinion on game that doesn't have even closed beta yet.
@@TheRegalRolston Why would they allow something that would upset their audience? MONEY , lots and lots of MONEY.
Why do you think they are allowing a second rate Chinese developer to use their IP? Because it gives them access to the absolutely huge Chinese mobile market, and how do you make money from mobile games? Micro-transactions.
Diablo Immortal will be based around extracting as much cash as possible from you via MTx, that's the entire reason they are even doing this.
Unfortunately they will probably make far more money from a moderately successful diablo-a-like in the Chinese market than they would from the worldwide release of Diablo 4, which is why they have "put their best designers on new mobile games" , that's where the money is.
Time to look for a new publisher if you want new high quality PC games, I don't think Diablo 4 on PC is inevitable in any way, if they can make more money doing something else (mobile versions of all their other titles for instance) they will.
Seemed a reasonable and sincere review, thanks Fluffy.
I have 2 puzzle games on my phone 3 reasons why i don't have more games 1] I am 50 years old and even with my iphone 6s plus its hard for me to see finer details 2] its a small screen and my fingers and hands just don't work well playing games on such a small medium 3] limited memory means I cant pop 20 or more games because I cant afford more memory than I already have!! I don't blame them for going mobile they are trying to make money my problem is even a 5 second teaser would have been better than devs asking "don't you have phones?" hell we almost all do but given a choice I rather play games on my pc than my phone!! Second that they have in fact lost touch with us that adore the Diablo Franchise and believed a mobile game in a prime Blizzcon spot was gonna be enough.. its simple really say at least its in the works and don't think a games that's been mostly pc based since its inception is gonna get a good reception that ya going mobile with it and not a word of anything on the pc... its like saying here drive this BMW SUV for a year and now ya get downgraded to a ford festiva while the festiva is a good car its still not the BMW now is it? If I'm being honest. I grew up playing Diablo 1, never really evolved past that. But I can relate very well to the events surrounding this game's reveal.
The interview at the end is the real issue here. I honestly do not believe that they are out of touch. I believe that they do not care and this is simply just a move to make $$$ on micro transactions. They are lying in that interview
I don't believe they are that out of touch either. But I also don't think this is a money grab on the side of the Blizzard execs. My guess is that this debacle got shoved down their throats from the new Lords and Masters from Activision, who proclaimed they would create a monetized mobile game whether they liked it or not. Activision needs to see some ROI from all the capital they had to borrow to swallow Blizzard, and this was as good a Get Rich Quick scheme as they could devise from the Diablo franchise.

randomly generated maps makes a game replayable. one of the core features that makes it enjoyable after how many thousand hours i have in d3.
honestly that's not a diablo game if it doesn't have random maps. i was trying to stay optimistic but if this gets released without it i have no interest in playing it.
But people replayed D2 to farm the same shit over and over and over and over. In fact people would specifically farm the bosses that was easiest to get to, like Pindle, where no RNG map generation was involved. Also maphacks were widely used because the quasi-random maps were a pain in the ass for most people.
"if this gets released without it i have no interest in playing it."
with or without it, it looks shit.
secondly, the whole experience of a diablo pc game is totally different... i really dont see myself even borhering installing this. not alone playing it for long.
The level of your dedication is high mate, i wouldnt be able to sit through even 5 minutes of this... ^^
Gameplay wise it looks like a stock ARPG on mobile, its quite clear that its built on the template ARPG format for mobile game, specially lacking resources or other elements to it. The way item equipping works too screams mobile ARPG just going a step up in having Defense/Attack rather then just a raw 'power' stat. While it all can be changed, its quite clear this is just built upon the publishers current ARPG system and they are just going to at most modify stuff for it rather then building it all from scratch.

Thank you for posting your honest thoughts and impressions of the game! This was well put together, I subscribed.
I would hands down play another Diablo game, but not on mobile-- I don't care how the game controls, feels, look, etc.. I'm not into mobile games at all, it's just not my cup of tea, I want mouse/keyboard or controller, and if Blizzard can't deliver that I'm gonna sit this one out.
I feel the same I don't really like mobile games. It's a totally different and immersive experience on PC and even consoles. Mobile not even a little in my opinion. 8 - 10in screen in your hands, or a nice PC monitor or a big screen TV. The choice is obvious for me.
I feel that they are gonna be like "Do you guys not have Bluestacks ?"
@vega vega Exactly!
same here!
I really like this video mainly because you were super objective and laid both sides on the table very clearly. Gained a new sub.
What also annoyed me was that it won't even be a Mature game, how is that going to impact the environment and lore if its kid-friendly?

prolly more than we'd like.
@@Le_Furret , hahahaha!!! Too true!
Dude your awesome iam glad someone stood up to them and u and the guy asking weather it was a joke is what we need more gamers to be like eventually they will get the message when no one buys their games
This looks horribly cheap and cartoonish, granted it's an early demo but if it doesn't look significantly better on release it's not going to get much attention. There are already tons of mobile ARPGS on the market and the Korean ones look way better. Just putting the Diablo title on the product does not make it a Diablo game, and I think Blizzard are banking on the name to push sales.
Obviously. That's why they offsourced it to reskin a shitty clone and market that. Development costs are going to be negligable, and the profits could be lucrative (especially if it adopts the useless ptw f2p model that all mobile games suffer from).
Hi Lord of the FLUFF! Excellent video and love the points you raised. Yes, there is a total disconnect between Blizz and its traditional player base. However, I am not sure if they as unaware as they appear. Given that they have said they are focusing internal and external dev resources on developing mobile games for all their IP, are they unaware or do they perhaps simply not care? It could be that Blizz has simply decided to refocus its business model on cash, cash by the train load, mobile cash...and to heck with their traditional customers. The recent top level shake up at Blizz could indicate a shift in direction that perhaps not all were happy about. Developing a host of mobile games will take time so Blizz will not want to lose its revenue foundation in the meantime, but in the future, perhaps we have just become as irrelevant to them as their mobile games are to me.
Once again thanks fluffster for the great coverage and well thought out comment.
What you are saying is exactly true and very real.
Even if Diablo Immortal turns out to be the best Diablo game of all time, I won't support it. I will not let the "future of gaming" be for mobile phones. You want to make a title for on the go gaming, put it on the Switch.
Future of mmorpg is on mobile like it or no, check on games like black dessert mobile. The new apple SoC A12X has a gpu that delivers 1,4 Tera flops performance! So I would love to see for example WoW taking advantage of that, as a Warcraft fan since 1994(warcraft 1). BUT I demand a pay 2 play system not a pay 2 win with retarded micro transactions out nowhere.

@@dans646 And you are the greatest dump if you are sayin the joystick or Dualshock can be replaced by mouse and keyboard . This is what should be told to freakin morons who think PC is the only gaming thing. Every device in which games are launched and can be played are gaming platforms. Just accept the fact. And Mobiles ain't bad coz they are becoming powerful day by day... May be, it may even outrun PC in the future. People nowadays doesn't even know what is technological advancement. Just gaming and throwing away the finished ones.
@@BurninPhoenix You are what we call a moron.
@@BurninPhoenix Yea but just saying you can use a joystick or dualshock on PC, so consoles don't really have that user-interface advantage.
Thank you man, i like your honest review. You dont sound like a sellout like Rhykker. Its ok to love or hate the game, i just want honesty and you felt honest to me
Tone deaf, out of touch, and from the sounds of it they just want to grab some cash. Feels like getting kicked in the balls. Fluff-you do a fantastic job and I hope there is a game for you to provide content for in the future, but if its not Diablo i think we would understand.
The five stages, denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance are a part of the framework that makes up our learning to live with the one we lost. They are tools to help us frame and identify what we may be feeling. But they are not stops on some linear timeline in grief. :)
Path of Exile is the True diablo 2 successor.
There is no COW LEVEL but apparently there is a BULLSHIT game called "Diablo Immortal."
Boring game
No, Grim Dawn is
@@vitorNook No, Path of Exile 2 that will come out in a few years is the true successors.
Absolutely not. Even Wolcen which is still in Alpha Phase is already closer to D2 then PoE is.
Yo Fluffy, wanted to add props for being true to the community. You likely had a chance of selling out and pretending everything's fine but you are demonstrating integrity. Subscribes for sure man.
I don’t have any Mobil games because I don’t see it as a gaming device. It’s already hard enough not having typos in my texts to my friends. I can’t even imagine trying to control a character.
I salute you my man, despite everything that you've gone through on that disappointing announcement you still taking the game open minded.
installing d2 right now! my only fear is that the in app purchases kill the game... but ive actually been wishing for d2 remastered for mobile lol
I am a Diablo fan, but probably not a huge fan. I still thought the idea of a mobile version was odd, but I would like to try it for the story if nothing else. Anyhow, I appreciate your video being non-bias, good job.
You should call yourself "Hot Diablo guy", because damn!
Thank you for being honest, both negative and positive.
I wouldn't play this game if it was the best mobile game ever created.
dont worry if you gonna come to our world were gonna kick ur crying babiees ass ....you know you can wait for D4 stop acting like a kid man.....This Developer is want to earn billions thats why thy are doing this wake up kid we are all here to earn money..not just setting and burning your ass in the chair
exactly!
My first PC game was diablo. i must have been 12 or 13 years old. I played the shit out of that game. I came from nintendo, my first and most beloved game was (and is) a link ot the past. diablo had the same love for detail, immersive gameplay and i was instantly hooked. it had something else in addition that i was not aware of at the time. fallout 4's Kellogg once remembered: "The thing about happiness is that you only know you had it when it's ... after that you really understand, that's what happiness felt like." I had that feeling when i was browsing the auction house in early diablo 3. I was heartbroken. I moved on. But then Josh Mosqueira came around and saved the game. And i thought: Hey, blizzard is still listening. From then on out i came back to diablo like an old lover. every odd season i took the journey, two or three weeks of intense attempts to relive the feeling i once felt. it is a fine game. the gameplay is fine, i tell me. objectively better than in the first two games. the random map feature is bad, the updates are bad. but the game is fine. just hang on, and someday diablo 4 will reignite the fading flame. it IS possible, i told myself. Windwaker and BotW did it for Zelda. But this blizzcon i finally understood. I don't love diablo anymore. I just love to remember what i once felt. Immortal doesn't hurt the way it should. It just makes me sad and lonely and nostalgic for the boy i used to be.
Have you heard the investors meeting call yet? It's rather illuminating, and depressing.
It's sad there are so many cool ideas here when it seems like they aren't being done justice. In a full D4 title, some of these things (like the pool alerts, skill targeting, etc) could be really next level for Diablo, but with a mobile title, I just don't know...
Do tell...
@@krakistophales investor.activision.com/events-presentations
Yeah. I heard their full conference call.
it's sad, but it is reality. People have just been milked for years over these games. It's a business corporation after all, with employees with their own families, who most probably, **dont** even play their own games.
They don't give a F about existing gamers just as long as they attract more people to play. We are just some 'ABC' customer. But the way they handled it was really shitty.
Just the reality.
I’m happy to see you giving an objective review. It’s not D4 but I think the mobile version has a lot of potential and something to hold us over.
I wasn’t thrilled to see D Imm but couldn’t figure out why there was so much backlash. I believe people way over reacted. We all know multiple Diablo projects are in the works but since we didn’t get what we want, we throw a fit.
Calm down and see this game for what it is and what it could be, while we wait for the Real Diablo games.
I do agree with you that they seem out of touch that core Diablo players would want this more than a PC version.
Give yourself credit the face of Diablo sounds much better than the boo guy. Thanks for all you do for the community Fluffy.
Speaking as someone who's played on PC since D1 released, and also has D3 on console, there is no way in hell I want to play it on my phone. In fact, I hadn't played D3 after I initially finished RoS, and only came back to it when a friend started playing on PS4. I did half of season 13 on PS4, got re-hooked, and immediately switched back to PC where I've been playing it every day since.
Diablo ONLY works PROPERLY on PC. Console ports are a relatively playable version because they have a decent number of physical buttons to use, but having just a handful of virtual buttons on a screen which, as you use them, obscure what's happening, is a terrible control scheme.
if it is a crappy version of diablo 3... why not just play diablo 3?
That casual side remark at Apple around 9:40 though. Hilarious
go 1.25 speed
More like 2.0
That subtle jab at apple throttling your phone's processor
They have already said there will be boss specific loot....that I'm sure is going to be locked around a certain amount of attempts...which leads to the biggest form of monetization...u want more attempts at that said loot pay $$$...lock the targeted loot behind attempts.....mark my words boys.
Holy shit, you're right.
Nice review mate. One of the things I like about you is that you are always fair, even when most of us wouldn’t be.
The game does look nice but things like static maps are a huge problem with regards to the games longevity - assuming that they aren’t so hot at adding new content to it.
Those skills that work together would be so cool on PC ❤️
I mean I just don't understand...if they're trying to reach thier core audience then the response to your question ("strictly mobile...forever?") Should have been " Yes, At some point we will have it playable on PC." I mean the only reason I can see not doing it is them being worried that having this on PC would take away from the PC only game. Which they apparently don't know Diablo fans very well, cause I would play the shit out of 2 Diablo games.
They could even tie Immortal into D:IIII in some manner so players don't feel like they are playing Diablo 2.5 but instead they are playing Diablo 3.9.
I suspect the real reason they said No was that D3 has now been moved to Blizzard's Classic Games division, which basically means D3 is now as developed as it is ever going to get. Activision will not plow more money into developing any new content or features for something they consider in maintenance mode - bug fixes only.
I fear you might get your wish with D4, but not in a good way. I am starting to believe that any D4 that does get released is going to be more like the watered down Diablo of Immortal, and much less like the pinnacle of Diablo 2. Dumbing down expands the customer base. But even if D4 would allow for integrating the same account on both PC and mobile platforms, is having such a restrictive experience even going to be worth bothering with on the PC platform? I find that to be highly unlikely for anyone that has experienced all the iterations of the franchise.
Blizzard has been hunting for a way to monetize D3 since the beginning(Real Money Auction House), that didnt work, they shelved the game after a last gasp DLC to farm what money they could. Now we have the endgame, a mobile game, a literal printing press for money that can be marketed globally will likely be packed with Micros AND have DLC(im thinking we will see something like Hearthstone expansions.)
Hate to say this but they DO NOT care about fans or whatever, they care about pleasing shareholders and this will do exactly that.
@@redhammer92 Did you see that AVTI dropped another 15% today? That's 25% for the quarter. I'll bet the stockholders are dancing in the streets. ;^)
thank you for the video, I got to say that the streaming on this matter was amazing!
alan adham needs to leave blizzard
Funny thing is that he is co-founder of Blizzard.
Very fair & balanced video. There must have been a temptation for you just to surf the wave of hatred surrounding this game but I think that you got the tone here just right.
yeah that's a tough balance. I'm already being called a paid shill for giving the game 5/10 and saying "I kinda liked it" so.. clearly most people just want all hatred.
Lord Fluffy You could chase those views but in a week they will have moved on to the next dumpster fire and your regular audience will be grateful that you called it like you saw it.
Will diablo immortal have the witch doctor.
No, because China hates blacks.
You don't see "journalists" complaining about that do you?
Hmm I remember leah mentioning something negative about those african sorcerers. Perhaps she saw this coming?
That last piece about loving other platforms has helped me to realize that I don't necessarily love Diablo as much as I do the mouse and keyboard control scheme for ARPGs. Clearly I'd rather have any ARPG to play with mouse and keyboard than to have the best ARPG on a touchscreen.
Aren't you the "Face of Diablo" give yourself more credit man, you aren't just the "boo guy" :D
Great review. The fact that you (hardcore audience) didn't hate it probably means that it's going to be a huge commercial success. I just hope that Blizzard can do the fans justice and bring us a fully fledged dark and mature D4 as well.
quick tip:
you can actually deactivate cpu throttling on iphones.
apple implemented this option after their own shitstorm ;)
Funny I'm watching this, haven't played Diablo since vanilla. Didn't even know this game was still a thing. Vaguely remember some thing blizzard did to get me to play it when 3 came out... Now I'm subbed lol. Anyway, some serendipity for you. Nice vids man.
Wyatt stated in an interview with Rhykker that the game isn't outsourced, it's a collaboration between the companies. Devs from both Blizzard and Netease are working together as a team on the game. I only hope they provide this for PC or even console as well after all this craziness, I don't care much for playing on console, but I despise playing on mobile.
Everything you say is basically how I feel about this situation, good stuff man
I subbed you Fluffy for being real and speaking the truth. Sure a Diablo game anywhere sounds like a great idea, but with the lack of content, lack of being unique, a dumbed down version on your phone, this just doesnt seem like they thought this through. Now I could be wrong and the game could be amazing, but turn this game into a P2W game with IAP and its all downhill from there. Really hoping this game is good and I’m not disappointed in Blizzard. Blizzcon was embarrassing but they could prove us all wrong if they make this amazing.
I have played Diablo 2 before and i believe in Blizzard will make a good mobile game. I am waiting for this game. From the demo its a good game for mobile.
You are the face of Diablo Fans. Thank You!!
damn, the idea with combining skills is really cool imo. hopefully we'll see something like this in the next real diablo game
I truly think diablo mobile is a great step for the franchise. Imagine the amount of experimentation you can do with a mobile game that has consistent updates. You can sort out awesome ideas from terrible ideas and make future diablo titles even better. Look forward to the future.
I think if they just said "We are trying to get into the mobile market and we feel that a new Diablo game is perfect to debut with. Later, when we have a fan base that includes many mobile gamers, when we announce another PC Diablo title, there will be a bigger audience for it. And this is a good thing because a bigger audience means we will have more resources available to give our PC fans an even better Diablo experience." or something along those lines.
Imagine if the abilities reacted to other players abilities as well. That would incentivize group play for sure
I think it's funny no one has mentioned that the Witch Doctor seems to have been written out of existence. WD is such an awesome class.
Small detail: They didn't claim Diablo Immortal is a mix of D2 and D3 mechanics/design philosophy. They only said its setting (timeline wise) is set after D2 and before D3.
thnx for this review, looking at this video, i don’t think i’ll regret not playing diablo immortal.
