the reddit was light up at least "welcome, dear d3 shipwreck survivors, here's links to what you need to lknow about PoE and some build guides" posts everywhere :D
dude diablo 3 was a stillborn child, it looks like wow, nothing like diablo 2 is supposed to look like. Mechanics and atmosphere is shit. PoE doesnt need diablo to fail any more, it already won the majority of the player base.
As a Chniese, I like to say that we also hate NetEase ourselves, you know. It is like a tumor in the Chinese game industry, destroy foreign good games and our own. Their works basically are mobile games. But there is a fact is: ############# Blizzard's exclusive agent of the mainland of China is NetEase ############ So I guess BLIZZARD was thinking about using NetEase to make money so they gave NetEase the "DIABLO" IP, however NetEase can ONLY make mobile game by THEMSELES, so Blizzard chose the mobile game market which is the biggest market in China. China doesn't have good games, never had. Maybe there will never be......I know it is sad, but that is not the reason to ruin another game we like. Coupled with the Blizzard‘s’ wrong choice this time, a wrong game at a wrong time with wrong company to wrong audience. I still can't believe DIABLO is ruined by the creators themselves...... just for money...... It‘s like my old best times are torn into pieces, darn it
@@Sc0nv0y Yes we do. We call it "the Fire Great-wall", many websites, articles and games are blocked by the party to consolidate the rule, like youtube, facebook, twitter, etc. It's a measure to protect internal industries but we still believe it is a little too much. In China there is no grading system, so films and video animations and games which are acrossed the line are just unable to be released or must be released after change or delete those "unhealthy" elements like blood and gore, sexual elements, etc. So for foreign games, we can only play those games which are already not original. So back to games, if some foreign games want to operate in mainland of China, they must find an agent,【like Blizzard and NetEase】. And only after they pass the ridiculous review of the government that the players can play the games. Therefore, still many excellent works can't be seen in Chiina because we don't have grading system and they are so "unhealthy". BUT there is always a way out. You guys must know Steam right? The biggest PC game platform of Valve. We can buy and play almost amy games on that without VPNs, maybe thanks to a loophole of firewall? I just hope the government won't ban this Steam LOL. Anyway, Chinese gamers are intriguing with the government for many years to play what we want with any measures we can find. So I guess this is another cosmetic measure of the government LOLLLLL
It's a shame you guys don't have a way to protest your treatment without being thrown in jail. Here's hoping democracy comes to China before it's too late!
@@GraveUypo yep. How long ago did activision buy blizz anyways? Blizz has been shit for a long time now. Lol The "celestrial steed" marked the beginning of the end for me. Altho actually i think it went downhill before that.
I dont See a Problem There. Its a complete other Team that works on mobile Diablo.blizz Said they've more Diablo Projects they're working on and i Bet d4 wont come before 2021(Blizzard needs 10-12 for every sequel) But it would be cool to have the Maps and modes in D3 mb they'll do it later. If they dont make it a p2w Game it can be fun i bet
@@Swiftymoschi this does take away from their other projects. do you see how upset people are over this cash grab? they shot themselves in the foot then tried to cover it up with some random rags, well now their foot is infected. they will suffer because of their foolish mistake. if they would of done this overseas (without hogging the lore) then no one would be upset. we don't like that shit here, we expect MORE out of games then someone trying to milk money from you. you don't take the spotlight then say "we want MONEYYYYYYY" then insult people for not having a phone. like that's even the fucking problem. this is simply a disservice, no wonder high ranking people left Blizzard. it all makes sense now. @Jaffa exactly! would of rather them said NOTHING, quite honestly would of went over better.
Blizzard should have taken serious note from Bethesda's E3 press event this year. Bethesda also announced a new mobile version of a very beloved franchise. Bethesda announced Elder Scrolls Blades; however, Bethesda's PR team was not so mentally challenged enough that they couldn't understand that only announcing a mobile game to an american audience, heavily filled with truly hardcore gamers mind you, is a REALLY bad idea. So, Bethesda, despite having practically NOTHING to show for it, still showed that "YES" ES6 is being made. This whole Diablo: Immortals bullshit would've gone down a whole lot smoother if they had left on a mic drop D4 logo with a Soon"tm" at the very end. Instead they hype us up and slap us in the face with horseshit.
I would of felt horrible if I paid to go to Blizzcon to be in person to see the "NEW DIABLO" game only to be told it was on mobile phone. The #1 thing, I see wrong with this mobile game. BLIZZ CON was the wrong place to release this game. :/
I am a HUGE Diablo fan, I have an entire Diablo based sleeve tattoo on my right arm. However, I dont have allot of use of my left hand and dont have a working thumb. I cant even give it a try if I wanted to try it out. Very Sad that we have to wait another year for Blizzard to release something the people want.
I can immagine he must've feel terrible (Wayat) announcing this - I belive he was half expecting bad reaction, but still hoping people would atleast be in silence or not applauding at the worst.... I don't think it would be as bad if there would be some PC port or announcement of D2 remastered at the same time. The thing with mobile games is, IMO a lot of people feel it's kind of a cancer to the gaming world (there I said it!) , so announcing Diablo is comming to mobile is just bad news - Personaly I was shocked when EA announced C&C will go mobile, and that's EA we're talking here .... but Blizz .... c'mon you did have bad moments, but I never immagined you will hit so low point that people would boo at Blizcon.
"dont u guys have phones" is the most arrogant i ever heared from people not understanding whats even the problem ... Blizzards reached EA arrogance level
There's no Blizzard touch on the game. It's made by NetEase who use their old assets/a.i/rehashed skills/u.i from their older mobile games. What is different is only the art. So it's basically a reskin from their other games. Blizzard is not developing this game, they say they do, but they don't. NetEase just needs art to make it happen, and Blizzard sold them art. Just a cash grab for asian market with Blizzard stench on it.
CSM-101 Yes Quinn needs to see this. - Sequel to Diablo 2 with none of D2’s class. Just D3 reskin - The game already existed, and the assets and mechanics are absurdly similar, down to the Diablo bossfight. This is 100% Blizzard whoring out the Diablo name for a cash grab
I don't mind the mobile game, but it should've been a side project at most. It's been 2 years since they announced the necro at blizzcon 2016 and to not get anything new this year or at least a hint of it to look forward to, is what pisses me off. How Blizzard can ignore their core audience of PC gamers this badly is mindboggling.
Just because a new Diablo title hasn't been released in a while doesn't mean this mobile game has slowed down D4. Look at how long it took them to release StarCraft 2… do you seriously believe that was the fault of StarCraft Ghost (another game which was planned to be developed by a third party).
Brandy, the community manager, basically said before Blizzcon that D4 is in the works, just not ready to show yet. What i think is lame about this is that this mobile game could basically be an expansion for D3.
@@Nojintt As I said, if they had any progress of D4, then they should've said so yesterday, just to give the players something satisfying. If the mobile game didn't take any ressources from D4, then again, why on earth didn't they make enough progress on D4 to give us a morsel? Clearly they thought the mobile game was enough.
Well that is subjective. There are a lot of people who deem BFA as worse than Warlords and then there are the people who are thoroughly enjoying it to this day. Personally, I had a good amount of fun with BFA before I realized it was more of the same camouflaged behind the promise of 'World pvp' which I am a sucker for admittedly.
From the most trustworthy developer to the most hated game release of all time, it's been nice Blizzard. I'm really disappointed, but I think we had a good run guys. Rip childhood.
What do You want? Diablo 4? To early for it. New content in D3?d2 Remake? Those are all complete different Teams and wont effect (ihope) the other Diablo things they're working on. If they Bring the mobile Version with a good and fair concept(skins or dlc's) it could be fun If u are not at Home and want to Play some diablo
@@Swiftymoschi Well its 5 years since RoS expansion, so yeah new content would be nice, they could add additional level or whatever, mobile game just proves that they didnt work on anything for Diablo, because game is not monetizable enough to justify developer time from a multi-billion company, dev time is more worthwhile on some other project, like mobile games which are notorious cashgrabs... This is why people are mad not because of mobile game, but because we are neglected because of a mobile game!
@@craftworded nope, nothing for straight 5 years, last year there havent even beeen Diablo panel. They dont know how to monetize it, apparently to make a game and sell it is no longer appealing by gaming companies you gotta have ingame cashcow system too...
What Blizz should have done: Start working on D1/D2 Remasters and D4 when the Necromancer dlc was released for D3, then, at this Blizzcon, show off gameplay of the remasters, show opening cut scene of D4, and show the fact that the remasters are pack-ins with the D4 retail box set for $59.99 with a special edition for 99.99 that comes with cloth map, 4 diablo figurines (one for each game), in game wings for D3, and some in game shit for D4 Digital download can include all digital items for special digi download set OR there are separate prices for the separate games. THEN say, "But to whet your appetites until then, here's IMMORTAL, and, no, none of our other diablo game teams worked on this. We want to bring you the Diablo experience on every platform you enjoy" (Cheers)
Community does not exist anymore. Blizzard does not see a community, what they see is a market. A greenfield, uncapitalised mobile market. They scraped millions of dedicated fans for the sake of potential hundreds of millions of new users. We don't have to vote with our wallets. We were never in the picture to begin with. Blizzard never intended us, the community, to be the base of players that will switch to mobile, in hopes that it will be us who fill their pockets with money. It's over. Games were just pronounced dead. They really did it at BlizzCon. What remains now is an industry with companies that deliver products. Sad day indeed, but on the other hand I finally got to see it, I don't have get my hopes up for something amazing to happen anymore. It won't.
Some companies can stil deliver games with passion , Larian with Divinity Saga , CD Projekt Red with Witcher and MAYBE Cyberpunk and even Rockstar with the amazing Red Dead Redemption 2 and other franchises. Let's hope that in the future we se more companies like that.
@@luancampos8744 Please, do not confuse this with hopes for better times. The transformation of the entire Diablo franchise into a mobile game is the dawn of gaming. You are correct, there still are good among the bad ones, but you have to admit that your list is very, very short. They are simply the ones that still do it the old way, they are not showing the others how to do it the right way. What the future holds is a mediocre content that appeals to the majority of potential receivers. It will not be passionate games, masterpieces created to perfection. Why am I so strongly confident about this? Because it was the Blizzard that did this. Freakin' BLIZZARD. A company whose credo was to create perfect content that you could either absolutely love or hate. They never aimed for this gray, middle ground. And yet, here we are today, with a DIABLO MOBILE GAME.
You are right. A Company lives with money which is provided by a large audience and not a comparativly small group of fans. But in all honesty this is not really a sudden change. They moved to other Plattforms with Heartstone, Overwatch and even Diablo 3 beforehand. This is just the next step they are taking, to make an action rpg-mobile game.
Watch the Steve Jobs interview about how companies lose touch with their communities. It's an extremely accurate description with what is happening at Blizzard.
They deserve the booing if they thought this would be a good announcement. I feel bad for Wyatt, but not for Activation Blizzard. (I don't think we can leave the Activation out of their name at this point)
@Jerry C He worked hard on this project, and was ultimately hung out to dry when he announced this game on his own. Its been said he even cried after the initial announcement, it was humiliating. I feel bad for him.
@@DaProtoons he didn't work. The Chinese company did. Endless Gods is basically the structure of Diablo Immortal, and then an art team worked on the Graphic assets.
nah, they have to sell u 2-3 more classes with a chapter each, while PoE releases 1 updated with 6-8 chapters for free, and unlimited character build... ye man, just wait for ur dlc's 3-4 more years, after we can have a trash content diablo 4 again
Just remaster Diablo 2, does anybody trust Blizzard to make a good, new, Diablo game? I don't. Blizz North is dead they will never make a product like Diablo 2 ever again, a remaster is our only hope.
- "Guys do you have phones?" - Yeah, I do Wyatt but I use my phone for calls and social media stuff... oh, yeah and take photos sometimes. If I want to play any game I go to my PC.
But man. You glance over the "but do you have phones?" comment? That's the literal smoking gun on where they are coming from? Like other publishers, they are coming from the pockets of investors! A very unfortunate turning point from a gaming giant. Again.
We do, but there is a reason why we have 24"+ monitors on our PCs.. I like puzzle games and ported board games on my mobil, not going to play an rpg action game on it..
@@Aliens1337 played Diablo for around 20 years, as i grew older i found that i spent more time traveling and not stuck at my computer. i frankly see no problem with blizzard throwing out a good mobile phone game. if it's a pay model that is atleast functional, people see no problem with throwing 50$ on a Nintendo 3ds game. if blizzard put out a fully functional game for 30$ that isn't plagued with micro transactions, why care? the newest ipad scores as well as a fucking xBox One S. but thx to people like you who are against companies making mobile games, there will probably take another 10 years before more game makers feel safe enough to put out better games for it. even doe games like Civilization 6, Final fantasy, monsterhunter, darkest dungeon, minecraft, terraria and so on, exists on it. without any kind of micro transactions, people still cry and looks at free to play games like candy crush or clash of clans and imagine that all companies are as fucked up. but to be fair, we don't know what pay model blizzard will put on the game, but i doubt it will become micro transaction ridden pay to win models.
Like I keep saying, mobile already has the worst controls and the worse audio/visual experience of any platform. The games are not only bad because of the limited control options, but also because of the cash grab mentality. Literally the only advantage is the fact that it's portable, but so is a Switch, and that has console games rather than mobile ones, better controls too, and can be hooked up to a tv. If Patrick thinks we should respect mobile games, he should make mobile games worthy of respect. If Cheng thinks mobile shouldn't be a dirty word, he should make mobile games that are not full of dirt. Then at least mobile would have one less disadvantage. Don't know if that would be enough, but it would be a start.
Chinese people hate NetEase more than western people hate EA and all other big DLC companies.. Another big problem is that they chose the worst possible company to outsource it to. I can't believe that it's gone this low.
@@LarvaS-hj1eq According to your logic. Star war, C&C and ghost buster are all find because the original content still exist. Mobile games are programmed to force you into micro transactions in order to fully enjoy the game, let me explain: In the beginning it'll be extremely satisfying to play, you'll feel ton of progression happening rapidly. After a while it'll slow down to the extreme, and this is where they will sneak in popups with xp boosts, gems, gear etc. The game is programmed for you struggle as fuck if you don't buy their services. Even a retarded donkey can figure this out, you don't have to be smart to see that mobile games has evolved into pure cashgrab machines these days. What all these companies got in common is, it's copy pasted content from asian developers, and guess where Diablo Immortal comes from? Yes, a china company that's known for making extreme pay2win cashgrab games.
@Krljavi Dzo @Robert Stan Thanks for being civilized. My question was valid, and it seems you dumbasses can’t provide the answer. I’m not one to blindly follow opinions and if you can’t defend your opinions with logic, it kinda annoys me. I believe it could be a good game and I have my hopes up. When someone makes a statement that I might question, I ask why the believe it, and where is your evidence. If you have none, I can fortify my opinion and debunk yours. If you do, I can reevaluate mine and be more open to ideas. In this case, I see no evidence or proof.
@@keir92 I know it won't matter, as this is most likely going to become a top 5 game on appstore and Google play, and that Blizzard's going to make hundreds of millions of dollars on this game because it's on mobile, but I feel like people who legitimately care about the genre shouldn't download it to try and make a difference.
The only reason I put up with D3 was the thought that they might've listened and would redeem themselves with D4 after salvaging what they could for low budget in D3. But this... This is just such a nut kicker, fans were already on their knees after D3 and Blizzard has nothing better to do than just keep on kicking. you said they wont release a trash game. but Diablo III was pretty garbage on release. Its still not anywhere close to Diablo or D2..... I think people are upset, because the people that love diablo in the audience.... those people are Diablo II fans, not Diablo III fans.... For whatever reason, getting a Diablo experience onto consoles stripped out the sole of the franchise in Diablo III. Its a shell of a game, and people have been waiting for the real sequel to D2 for forever. How much soul will it have left after going to mobile? How much of that soul is going to be left after making a game "appropriate" for the [much younger] mobile audience. Youre right, it would have been better if they didnt have anything to say about diablo.
And here we have the wild Diablo 2 elitist in its natural habitat. Diablo 3 was an extremely good game on launch and is currently the 3rd most purchased PC game *ever made*, so I'm not sure how you people still act like you're the only ones who like Diablo, especially since you're the only ones who endlessly bitch about how "bad" it is. If you want something more similar to Diablo 2, just play Path of Exile. It was literally made for people like you.
@@TripleR3D Games, like movies, sell based on the previous title. Terrible movie sequels will often make more in gross sales than a well reviewed and fan loved original. If you want to stick to game examples, CoD Black Ops is the best selling game in that franchise. But its not the game they chose to remaster and rerelease with live servers and a massive premium price tag, because despite the sales, black ops was not the game that turned FPS players into CoD fans. Even within the Treyarch studios CoD releases, most fans of that franchise are going to tell you that BOII was a much better game, yet it didnt sell as well as the original. You and I both also know, that regardless of how amazing Diablo4 is or how well put together it is. It is not selling as well as diablo III did. Some of those fans left, some are playing POE and arnt coming back and most of the casuals that bought the game because their friend(s) loved diablo II and talked them into buying diablo III, are not buying Diablo4. The sales numbers have little to do with the quality of the game. If you want to try to rationalize in an objective way how well diablo III is doing with diablo fans, look at the expansion sales, or the expansion that they canceled because they were worried it wouldnt sell. Or, go compare the twitch viewer numbers of Diablo III and POE. Despite the lower sales, more people are playing POE than Diablo III(im not playing either btw) . Blizzard fucked up bad when they released Diablo III, everywhere from content to balance to the login server going down for days at a time, to elite encounters that were either trivial or could insta-wipe a party based solely on whether they had Arcane. The balance was so bad they had to power creep from 10k damage hits to 10m damage hits in a couple of years to get something that started to make sense and was engaging. Now if you're saying it wasnt worse than *generic EA franchise*. okay fine it was in the same ballpark, and also, all EA games are garbage. I give blizzard a lot of credit for sticking with it, THAT at least is something they can still say their competitors wont do.
@TripleR3D Nothing elitist about it. Diablo 3 was garbage at launch and sold off the name of Diablo 1 and 2. There's a reason Blizzard had to make so many sweeping changes to the game.
I would not have cared if Diablo immortal came to mobile if we would have got a Diablo 1 or Diablo 2 remastered for Xbox Nintendo switch PlayStation and PC or even a new Druid expansion for Diablo 3
This clearly shows how out of touch with their community blizzard really is. They don't realize that 90%+ of the people that bought the ticket to go to Blizzcon (present/online) DON'T, and I repeat, DON'T give A F*** about mobile games. Literally no one in that convention center asked for that game. This would've only been ok if they've made a big Diablo announcement that people actually liked and then after (as a side note) they said: "yeah we also have this other thing that we did". Announcing a mobile game at blizzcon would be like for no reason, someone from EA, came to the stage and announced the next Need for Speed. That news might be good for someone, but the people that are there at YOUR convention, just don't GIVE A F*** about that.
In the end blizzard is a company, that is interested in making money. They need to protect their bottom line, sad but true. Look at all the F2P games that are making 10x more than a single release of any normal PC game. They want in.
I'm sorry but I'm stoked for this. I work 9-6 Monday-Friday. I have moments where I can play this, and it has me excited. WE WILL GET DIABLO 4. IT IS KNOWN. Was this an improper time to do this? Probably. They should have announced D4 first/after/JUST SHOULD HAVE DONE IT IN GENERAL. But regardless, some people DO want this game. Sorry to not hold the pitchfork this time y'all.
Yeah, didn't think I would get depressed, Ive been a fan since D1 and have thousands of D2 hours. My first Blizzcon I decide to watch is utter shit, sad fucking day.
Diablo isn't a game that needs to increase its player base with a mobile game. When D3 released it literally broke servers and sales records despite its initial flaws. This announcement is a slap in the face to loyal customers and a complete cash grab to satisfy the suits upstairs who are out of touch with what actually makes money: good games and fan appreciation!
We hate the new Diablo immortal microtransaction sh1t... always online... The game that gonna kill it is another always online game with microtransactions like PoE... LOL whatever dude...
The last Diablo felt like one of those games where you just a spaceship in the middle of the screen shooting at asteroids coming at you from off screen. And a remake of 2.
The interface in basically EVERY freaking mobile RPG/hack'n slash/MOBA is exactly like this one. It is just the most comfortable to play. How are people complaining about this? Even without that chinese developer, the interface would like 75% like this one now shown...
It's simply a huge disappointment. They simply went for what will be most profitable leaving their hardcore community, which is on pc and always was on pc, behind. How could they not anticipate that reaction? I think they knew but considering Blizzard is Activision, they simply didn't give a shit.
I did not have the negative reaction that many people did, but I was firmly in the meh camp. And I promptly went on to playing D3 on switch which is as mobile as I want for that platform.
The cinematic trailer has as of now 24h after uploading it 261k dislikes and ONLY 8k likes i think the message from the community is pretty clear. Time to download PoE until next Blizzcon or whenever there is actual Diablo content.
I agree that saying it didn't take away resources from other Diablo projects is not quite true. Very simply equation, purchased Company X with Y employees. The Y employees needed, at a minimum, consulting and oversight from Blizzard Prime, aka resource. However, the net resource may not have changed. Some of the Y resource would/could have gone to main projects, thus bolstering those activities while management shifts around. As a software engineer I have been through many merges, and when done right, the product lines improve. I recommend keeping the faith a while longer. If they truly love Diablo, they will work it out. Just keep making your voices heard. I am sure they have heavily felt the backlash on this one. It might have caught them off guard since Hearthstone for mobile probably had a good reception, but they'll get it. Asking the questions a bit differently... Do you think Blizzard should compete in the Mobile space? One complaint I saw was that Mobile games suck. Well, maybe we need good game developers to fix that?
3:10 Topic Response: The Speaker was very enthusiastic about the entire presentation. I believe he did a fantastic job and loved his honest responses when booed at. He's only Human after-all, but hey we all sometimes need a moment to collect our thoughts when giving a rehersed speech. There wasn't a teleprompter in the back giving his speech, they have to memorize all of it. So give the guy some slack instead of making false assumptions about the game. We all were disappointed and that same disappointment isn't going away, but it wasn't the Speakers damn fault!
I hope they make Diablo Immortal like Snail's "Taichi Panda" where you can make it autoplay. Then I can play a proper game on the PC, while the mobile trash gets the lack of attention that it rightly deserves.
Yes, my little sister accepting money from me so I can have sex with her is the most awful disgusting thing I ever see ... But this game is a very close second.
Some say you can still hear Quin69 screaming in pain from Australia to this day. Also just a FYI Americans don't boo unless we are really really unhappy. It happens very rarely in real life.
I think it will come out polished, but it's their business model, the possibility of going full EA or Activision with the microtransactions, the way the mobile market so hungrily does... that will determine how favoured or not the game will be.
At the point you are talking about a reskin, the game on the screen isn't the one that got reskinned, that's why it's just similar, but not more. The game you are watching is Crusaders of Light. You would want to look at the Endless of God. That's the game that got the Diablo reskin.
I don't want to be too long winded with this so I'll try to point a few of my opinions. Games like World of Warcraft bring in a ton of money which is why that game in particular is still being invested. Games like SC and Diablo however.. are one off purchases that really don't bring in a constant income that makes it worth it for the company to invest in as much as a game like World of Warcraft. I think everyone can agree that a mobile game for Diablo would've been perfectly fine if *IF* there was actual content for PC and console alike. ie) D2 remastered, D4, an expansion, at least a character etc. That being said here is my Pros/Cons list. Pros: 1)Opens up a new platform thus increasing fan base to bring them to the base games. 2) Might be a legitimate game that is fun to play and can be great to have when travelling, on the go, not able to play on your console/pc. 3). If the mobile game has Microtransactions (Hopefully not Pay to Win) That income can be potentially used to invest in future content that the majority of the fan base actually wants ie) D2 Remastered, D4, etc. Cons: 1)Failed to truly listen to the community and failed to deliver content that targets a majority of their fan base on the platform their company was built on (PC) thus overall hurting the franchise's future. 2) 2 year waiting period (Since blizzcon last year didn't offer any diablo content or information), hyped up community only to really offer nothing wanted or asked for. 3) Platform that is really only 100% welcomed and supported in Pacific Asia as its a bigger targeted audience versus Western culture which prefers PC Gaming over Mobile Gaming. 4) Not everyone has a top of the line phone and/or Data plans for long term gaming that would otherwise turn them away from Diablo Immortal in general, and perhaps even the franchise. My hope is this.. that Diablo Immortal has some way of bringing in either some form of income, or increase in a fan base that allows blizzard to provide better content in the future. As well as Blizzard actually listens to their community for now on. I am very disappointed with this outcome.. and was really hoping for something more.
I would happily pay like $10 USD a month to play a fully remastered Diablo II with a solid anti-cheat system and ladder resets. I'm 100% serious. And I know I'm not the only one.
There is no excuse for them to take away PC platform . They can have it in all platforms but they are choosing to take away the most popular one (the one it was started on) away in favor of running it on small devices . This decision is just plain stupid . What about the aging player base , the one's who can't see as well on smaller devices . Do they just get thrown to the curb . Regardless , the whole way they went about introducing that at Blizzcon was terrible IMO . The whole fan base should have grown a pair and turned around and left them standing there . This is an outrage and if they don't do something to include PC players I am done with Blizzard games . Yes they are good games but not good enough to make me stoop to what they are forcing on us . I play games on PC , not phones . Stupidity is what this is .
I don't want a tablet , I got a really good PC . My point is , I don't play mobile games , I like PC games . And the decision to exclude PC's on this new release is a stupid move . I built my PC to play games on and if they choose to produce their games in mobile platform only from now on , I sure as hell am not going to go out and buy an expensive phone to play it on . That's just common sense . To each their own though , I won't buy into it .
PC is not the most popular platform for gaming. Even in the US, see link from quick google search >www.limelight.com/resources/white-paper/state-of-online-gaming-2018/#mobile. Diablo games have way less depth than other Blizzard properties (you literally farm rift type 1, and rift type 2, and once you get high enough in rift type 2, dodge or get 1 shot). It's only a matter of time until their archaic hack 'n' slash genre was going to be ported. Hopefully they make some money, appease the fans that just want any content, until they develop a better D4. D4 has taken a long time in early development, because they aren't sure what direction they're going to go, and they aren't ready to announce anything publicly. Hopefully it will be great, not just late.
There has been a long going on feud between the original Diablo (1 & 2) development team and the current Blizzard Diablo team. This was a decision made based on petty personal conflict, rationale has nothing to do with it. @@grandarchon6969 They didn't create anything, Blizzard outsourced Diablo copyright to another company and they simply changed the texture skin of another game and renamed it. Diablo 2 has significantly more 'depth' to it then diablo 3, because diablo 3 is designed to be a PS3 game, that's pretty much the core of the problem, they're breaking the Diablo franchiase down into a joke over a personal feud. It's gonna suck donkey balls and it's already 15 years late, that's what time it is. The petty people on the current Diablo development team should just provide what has conssistently been asked for the last 17 years, a new Diablo PC game. This is similair to the Nintendo Wii abomination, it will not come down on them today but it certainly wil tomorrow, when it's already too late.
It's 3:35AM currently on the east cost of the US. Only a few more hours until the stock market opens up. I'm wondering how Activision's stock will fair...... can't wait to see this.
As someone who goes to school and works full time with a child I dont have as much time to sit down and play games. Mobile games is the only way I am still able to play. I play on my break at work or whenever I get free time. So I am excited for this but I would of loved to see a diablo 4 at well. Even tho I would not get a chance to play it anytime soon.
Blizzard constantly says that they love their "community" but with the announcement of a Diablo mobile game proves that they really do not know anything about their community
@@darksto Oh god you're in for a rude awakening if you think that buying a character with a one-time transaction is what we're in for. Mobile games can be as bad as paying to even be eligible to play more than a set amount of time per day. Every day.
"Uh Oh! It looks like the forces of evil defeated you! Your body will revive in (9:59) minutes. Purchase a Tyrael Gem for 0,99$ to continue your adventure right now!"
I stopped caring about Blizzard the moment Activision stepped in. As a Diablo/WoW fan It's not hard to see all the quick cash grab short-terms practices going on in all their games with the future plans of reselling the same stuff over and over. Blizzard are no longer in control, Most of the staff that we grew up with are no longer works there, they got replaced by Activision new staffs to implement the cash grab tactic in every region. The community voice and feedback no longer shape or fix what's left. You buy the WoW game + Expansions + paying monthly subs + In-Game Services/Shops. Yet your voice are ignored completely cause you're there to get milked. The same with Diablo 3, this thing been dry like the desert waiting for a rain drop. Yet they kept reselling the same game for all consoles and now Mobile. They just don't care as long as they keep getting money.
And idiots will keep spending money and being oblivious or just plain stupid. It's sad but as long as there are people still spending $$, these companies will employ these shady tactics ever so more often.
WHY MAKE IT A BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! This should have been a tweet with teaser trailer with additional information at blizzcon not a major announcement. I think if it was marketed as a side part of the franchise it could have been received better but they made it a main part which sucks.

As a Chniese, I like to say that we also hate NetEase ourselves, you know. It is like a tumor in the Chinese game industry, destroy foreign good games and our own. Their works basically are mobile games.
But there is a fact is:
############# Blizzard's exclusive agent of the mainland of China is NetEase ############
So I guess BLIZZARD was thinking about using NetEase to make money so they gave NetEase the "DIABLO" IP, however NetEase can ONLY make mobile game by THEMSELES, so Blizzard chose the mobile game market which is the biggest market in China.

In China aren't a lot of different sites and games blocked? Do you have to use VPNs in China to get past those restrictions?

Exactly what i was thinking.
The other thing is that Bethesda also makes these games playable on other platforms not just mobile.

Just a cash grab for asian market with Blizzard stench on it.
you're an idiot mate
CSM-101 Yes Quinn needs to see this.

- The game already existed, and the assets and mechanics are absurdly similar, down to the Diablo bossfight.
True
Blizzard started ignoring diablo when Blizzard North closed.
"they will not release a game that is trash"... have you tried BfA? the blizzard you`re talking about died, probably 6-7 years ago

What Blizz should have done:
Start working on D1/D2 Remasters and D4 when the Necromancer dlc was released for D3, then, at this Blizzcon, show off gameplay of the remasters, show opening cut scene of D4, and show the fact that the remasters are pack-ins with the D4 retail box set for $59.99 with a special edition for 99.99 that comes with cloth map, 4 diablo figurines (one for each game), in game wings for D3, and some in game shit for D4
Digital download can include all digital items for special digi download set OR there are separate prices for the separate games.

Freakin' BLIZZARD. i frankly see no problem with blizzard throwing out a good mobile phone game. if it's a pay model that is atleast functional, people see no problem with throwing 50$ on a Nintendo 3ds game. if blizzard put out a fully functional game for 30$ that isn't plagued with micro transactions, why care? the newest ipad scores as well as a fucking xBox One S.
but thx to people like you who are against companies making mobile games, there will probably take another 10 years before more game makers feel safe enough to put out better games for it.
even doe games like Civilization 6, Final fantasy, monsterhunter, darkest dungeon, minecraft, terraria and so on, exists on it. without any kind of micro transactions, people still cry and looks at free to play games like candy crush or clash of clans and imagine that all companies are as fucked up.
but to be fair, we don't know what pay model blizzard will put on the game, but i doubt it will become micro transaction ridden pay to win models.

@TripleR3D
Nothing elitist about it.
Those are complete other teams maybe they're working on it right now or after wc3 remake
When you kill a franchise and the game you do it with has "Immortal" in the title.

And it cost them more money in the end it's a bad strategy .@@4dchessplayer516

Why are people comparing to Crusaders of Light, when Endless of God is the real game they are re-skinning over?
Because nobody knows about any crappy mobile ARPGs. I've literally NEVER heard of either of those games til this video.
I hope they make Diablo Immortal like Snail's "Taichi Panda" where you can make it autoplay. Then I can play a proper game on the PC, while the mobile trash gets the lack of attention that it rightly deserves.

That's the game that got the Diablo reskin.
ua-cam.com/video/2-SLvqXyrI4/v-deo.html&t=204 Looks like a Barb to me
I don't want to be too long winded with this so I'll try to point a few of my opinions.
And I know I'm not the only one.
simple way to fix of making bank of a diablo game? MAKE A GOOD ENOUGH FUCKING GAME LOL.
Then they buy tablets :p.
