LOS was such a great and underrated experience in my opinion. LOS2 didn't quite measure up to the first one but it still had its high notes.

@@kairo9084 I thought the reveal of the last Belmont alive was cool. Alucard working behind rhe scenes in the shadows was cool. Actually having to fight Satan as the last boss was cool in concept. I'm not going to argue about the execution of said dope moments but they were no doubt high notes for the storyline
having replayed the two games in the last few months I admit LOS doesn't hold up to time well in terms of gameplay, specially the boss fights. LOS2 managed to fix those and made the fights more engaging and forcing the player to use what they learn as they go even if the story wasnt as engaging. But sequels rarely manage to have better stories than the original project in general, be it games, series or movies so it was to be expected
Gabriel did feel better to control in general and the enemies were way more interesting overall, plataforming issues were fixed and made more smooth and thank the lord for less climbing in boss encounters. I would say LOS2 actually has more high notes going for it than LOS does. LOS has the nostalgia going for it sure, but LOS2 improved a lot of its high points and covered a lot of its issues as a sequel
Despite its’ flaws, I loved the LoS trilogy. Gabriel is more fun to play as Dracula than as a human. I also occasionally spoke to Dave Cox the producer on LOS. He was a great guy, hope he’s doing good.

I wish to see them continue Soma's story. Isn't he an interesting character? Either that or the a game starring Julius and the 1999 Great Demon Castle wars which ultimately led to Dracula's demise and the rise of Soma Cruz.

You can't even fight roidraged Satan. They could've copypaste his attacks and movement from LoS1 but no, let's use Alucard, which we already have all his animations ready THEN sell Alucard DLC, which somehow has a boss with all-new animations.
I know it's not that bad but the way they did was kinda fishy to me.
He spends eternity hiding from his enemy and gets summoned right in front of them.. Incompetence is can not be understated.
When I first saw this while playing I’m like, did he go to gym and practiced before this fight, the last time he was a bit on the skinny side
I honestly believed it would've been a banger if the game actually ended here part 3 would start with leviathan and zobek returning

Great game, but it annoys me that you can't kill those red soldiers with big guns head on while playing as dracula himself
IKR. That's what annoyed me about this game. We're forced to use stealth and hide in the shadows like a little bitch. In order to sneak past those big guys. Otherwise we're toast! I mean, we're the fucking Lord of Darkness DRACULA damn it! I'm surprised Satan didn't possess one of them in his fight against Dracula.

If Satan takes the body of one of these guards instead of Alucard, he had won the battle with Dracula.

I always felt gabriel has redeemed himself alot in los 2.Even though he is a vampire, his humanity is still intact to team up with alucard to fight dracula and satan. Los 1, gabriel was fighting his flesh and wishing God wouldnt take the things he love like the woman he loved before she went to heaven. He ended up become the thing he didnt wanna be at all, vampire. In los 2, he is the struggling spiritual man who lost grace and finds redemption through allies and people. I love how gabriel had a good development as charecter. We all can relate to gabrial when as we children of God have the struggleness in our lives of our faith. How far can we go with God ? We just have to keep trust in the lord.
PRobably the most unsatisfying ending of videogame history

Satan is like “I despise incompetence” but the acolyte literally was successful in summoning you. He accomplished his mission so uhh wtf? And he contradicts himself in the same sentence; he offers a truce deal with Dracula, then he immediately changes his mind & tells him he would rather destroy the world, then he says if he can’t rule it then no one will. What the hell are his goals then?
If I remembered correctly, LoS2 had a very troubled development cycle, so the writing tanked badly as a result.

I think he didn’t want anyone summoning him while Dracula was still alive, as Dracula was the only being on Earth that could actually threaten and kill him. If I remember correctly, Alucard and Dracula schemed to have Lucifer believe that Dracula was dead in order to lure him to Earth and slay him. The fact that he was summoned by his servant with Dracula still alive and even in front of him upon his arrival makes the comment about incompetence justified. As for his motivations to destroy the world, I imagine that he knows that he can’t rule Earth since Dracula would oppose him. Thus, being a sore loser, he sees a destroyed world as preferable to a world he can’t rule over

Alucard and Dracula vs Satan*
So Satan came back all jacked up only for him to possess Alucard in the end, such a disapointment compared to the final fight of the first game. This game had so much potential, the gameplay was improved but the story fell flat and ended with so many plot holes, not to mention those f*****g stealth sections. A shame because the first 2 games were really good.
Whoever the first person who create name alucard you are fkin brilliant.

The third lords of shadow could be about Dracula being sleep for years and new vampire lords taking over or it could be about him descending into madness with no enenmy left to fight and maria gone we could play as him and alucard finally seeing a truly evil drac and putting him down as alucard

Dantes inferno 100% and the Los series would be awesome. Is the spawn game the one with clowny in the sewers as an annihilator variant and the heaven levels? If so that'd be an insane remake to see come to life cause that game was hard as hell as a kid but so awesome

Satan is kinda bitch tier, NGL. He's got a pet world destroying beast and he can possess people but other than that he got 1 shot. Think about it, a single stake through the heart killed him. By comparison Gabriel and Dracula can take a ton of punishment.
Still though good on Satan for getting in shape.

Gabriel is a Belmont. The LoS games aren't canon to the mainline games, though, so you won't find him in the family tree.

@@christophercramp17 I’ve always liked the idea of a Belmont being Dracula. He resembles Dante a little with the sword and gauntlets. He even has Dante’s stinger move as well as Ken’s Shin Shoryuken.

If it's LOS Dracula then I think it's Vergil and Dante. However the Dracula from OG timelines can probably win thanks to his feats which show him being capable of upholding the entire abyssal realm and castlevania realm at once and even defeating Time reaper who was about to destroy all of the infinite timelines without breaking a sweat. As Soma he even beats the primordial concept of Chaos itself and has Death's soul who's able to beat the concepts of sound and distance making his speed similar to Dante's and Vergil's (both of em have immeasurable speeds like Dracula)
Can a half demon half human hybrids or half vampire half human/half human half vampire or Dracula can defeat a demon king or satan
@@lion4611 Technically yes, Alucard in the OG story DOES defeat Dracula albeit right after he's resurrected. So yea Alucard can beat Dracula if it's right after the resurrection but as you know he gains more power by absorbing evil so if even a little delay is made Dracula would obliterate everything. Alucard actually is much stronger than every Belmont except Julius, guy literally whips monsters who need a seal without even using em and claims that as if it's no big feat
I bet it’s hard for them to control their blood lust unless alucard is dhvampire half human half vampire that he doesn’t get bloodthirsty and I bet Dracula is having trouble controlling his bloodlust
@@lion4611 In the OG timeline Alucard doesn't really feel the bloodlust, but yea just like regular vampires he can drink blood and even restore health that way. Dracula on the other hand...doesnt really need blood. He simply consumes the souls and then turns the souls into his minions. But if it's the LOS version of em then yes they need to drink blood to survive. Alucard obtains blood from the monsters he slays while Dracula obtained blood from the brotherhood enemies that he killed. But now that all his enemies are killed idk what he'd do.

I just didn't understand until today... what was wrong with alucard/dracula's old clothes? Did they need to wear this weird armor? And why does dracula have to show his chest muscles? What's the point of wearing armor that has a huge gap right in the heart WHEN YOU ARE A FK VAMPIRE??
Because Gabriel is not a usuall vampire. There is no weapon except Vampire Killer that could destroy him. Even it's stake made him fall into coma, so he doesn't care being killed or injured.
Personally I quite liked Alucard’s armor, as for Dracula’s though… it’s quite odd looking

Gabriel Belmont fought the Lords of Shadow as a Knight in the Crusades. The lords of Shadow were corrupted Knights who became monsters. However, Gabriel found out that his mentor, Zobek, was himself a demon, and in fact The Grim Reaper, and so Gabriel became Count Dracula when he realized the mask he used was used to mind control him to kill his own wife, Maria, and he became evil because the demonic energies corrupted him. His son, Trevor Belmont, was killed by Gabriel as Count Dracula, and Gabriel realized that he killed his own son, so he gave Trevor his blood to bring him back as a vampire. In the end, Gabriel and Trevor decided to team up to destroy Satan and the Grim Reaper
