Actually grandpa trying to save his progeny from himself. Just see how dracula satisfies them by getting himself killed just to let them live. Because this time he knew who they were
I beat this game several times but never noticed that Simon's mother in this game was named "Sypha", a little Easter egg there. Of course not the speaker magician from castlevania 3 or the show, but awesome name dropping.
The character is supposed to be this universe’s version of Sypha. Also she’s only a speaker in the show. It was something completely new that the writer made up because he didn’t want her to have any association with the church like in the games.
@@Malice900There are spellcasters in Castlevania. Even the Church in Castlevania games enlists magic using individuals, and say that it’s okay, because they worship God as the source of their power. Good magic users include Maria Renard, Sypha Belnades, Charlotte Aulin, Carrie Fernandez, Shanoa, Yoko, and a few more besides.
After seeing the final fight, I'm kinda disappointed Dracula didn't use the whip made of his own blood... Would've been cool to see him mix it up more.
When Alucard caresses Simon's face is a powerful scene. Imagine: a young-looking vampire (when Trevor was transformed he was 27 years old) who after many years finally caresses his son Simon who is 35 years old and seems older than him. Simon will never know that Alucard is his father Trevor who has now become an immortal vampire, just as he will never know that Gabriel/Dracula is his grandfather. I loved Castlevania LoS story, more tragic and mature than the original one.
@@skeletorgames8641 When Trevor left his family in order to kill Dracula, Simon was only 5 years old. He was too young to remember his father's face. Furthermore, Trevor, becoming a vampire, changed a lot in his appearance.
Yeah okay sure. The art style in the Lords of Shadow series surpasses anything in the homoerotic IGA Castlevania's. The only Castlevania's I like are the classic NES, SNES, Genesis, and Lords of Shadow. You can't possible tell me you prefer the way Soma looks compared to Gabriel/Dracula from LoS?
I love all the games Classic, SotN, LoS or either wise, but I feel like comparing sprite art and 3D models on systems two generations apart is like comparing a Bicycle and a race car.
The designs are great- like the actual art showing these designs is amazing. These models are originally from the 3DS though and don't do the best job showing them off. Alucard looks way better in Lords of Shadow 2 despite still having the same design (just less gaunt).
@@Seiyol Yeah forgive me if I sounded a little judgemental just had a bad day when I posted that. But yeah you're right it's not right comparing 2d sprites to 3d models, and yes when I re-read the post I say that they meant this game in particular not the overall series.
Dear gods this is just awful! The animation looks good, but they screwed up the family tree, the voice casting is highly questionable, and is that suppose to be Alucard?! The gameplay looks stiff too. That's probably the only thing they've done that was faithful to the original game series.
I play the 3DS Version kind of sudden FPS drop somehow overclocking the Lords of Shadows are good even Hard difficulty was not hard, well written even much lots of questions.
Father and Son trying to protect the family meeting from Grandpa's dark humor
Sounds about right.

There are no "speakers" in the game universe.
@danilomenoli you don't know that

1. I wish Alucard would’ve told Simon
2. This reminds me of Luke and Vader vs Emperor Palpatine
So alucard is simon father right?

I think this fight between father & son vs grandpa.
I still had no idea why this concepts are working.

Solid meh
I think based on his reaction Simon had some idea it was his dad. Alucard looks like when Simon last saw Trevor, but with white hair.
We all guessed they were the same guy based on looks. This is his son.

Ahh! this fight reminds me of Alucard and Julius against Soma and also these three belmonts reminds me of the Mishimas
Just wished this was like Lords of Shadow 1&2 with all the graphics etc.
Considering this game came out on the 3DS first, that wouldn't have been possible. This game looks good enough as it is anyway.
I love the opening cutscene
It would've been great addition to include Simon's Theme as the boss theme.
Lords of Shadows is a masterpiece
Agree
I would like Simon to return to the franchise for Lords of Shadows 3 with Alucard/Trevor Belmong,Victor and Gabriel/Dracula like and Bye!
Simon was a pushover
Does the stopwatch even work on him at all, I’m usually too low on health during the boss rush to know? Well to try
No it doesn’t, he can even dash when you use the stopwatch

dracul himself here is also a belmont, who sacrifices himself to defeat satan but was consumed by darkness
