My first camaro got totalled due to a drunk driver and I ended up getting pushed off the road into a bolder in 2018. Since then, I have been slowly trying to restore a replacement. My profile picture is my current car. The desire to rush everything and cut every corner that I can is strong. After watching your video, which I found from your brake upgrade video, I am feeling better about slowing back down.
Nice build. Bought a new third Gen, same color, same rattle tops. Was kind of disappointed in that car. This is what I always wanted in mine. Good job.

@@Brandon-LSX it has been inside all of its life, I don't know if it has even been rained on, my dad bought it for my mom and she just didn't like it, so it set in the garage until her passing and I received it, an it still sets in the garage, no dents or paint chips, so I am very excited to own this fine ride.

Very nice, I love the wheels too. I used to have a 91 Z28 5.7 back in the day, couple of 5.0 IROCs too, but I really want another black 91-92 Z28 with a LS7/T56, but any LS really would be fine even a 6.0 or 5.3

I have a red iroc that I recently put a zz6 efi crate 350. Its been a nightmare. I have a tick on the driver side of the engine. I dont know if it's a bad lifter, or a loud fuel injector. The tapping is causing me a ton of stress after spending all that money. I also thought maybe it could be low oil pressure. I had a Mechanic adjust the valve train and bring it down to zero leash and then a turn. That didn't help either. I could have bought a blueprint engine for half the money and probably not have all these problems. Last time I buy some junk gm puts their name on.
Not sure if I'll swap with this engine. However, I am working on acquiring a junk 3rd Gen Camaro for cheap so that I can flip it. The fact that you can put a newer engine in an old car is proof that it's upgradeable.

Why would you have two tachometers right next to each other ? Two tachs only 4” away from each other? Aside from the added on shift light, I don’t understand . You can get a stand alone shift light.
It was installed before I added the autometer gauges to work with the LS swap. I also like having a shift light that I can program on the fly to my RPM specially during a race I'm not looking down much.
Quality lifters and noise will go away. I had that same issue in my 4th gen. 229/244 duaration 630/615 lift. Quality lifters made a world of difference!!
I'm sure you said somewhere but what accessory kit is that on front of the engine, looks like most of the pulleys are down low compared to other setups I've seen

I love this car! I have a 91 Z28 and its nice enough to win 1st place at the only car show I entered it in (just under 300 cars), but this thing is a dream with that engine bay, brakes, new seats and those wheels. I need to buy another Camaro and do this. Mine has a 350 with a Comp XFI cam 218/224 570 lift on a 113. Promaxx 183 heads, stainless long tubes, TPIS Miniram, TPIS 58mm throttle body on the stock bottom end (40,000) miles. Its black with red 92 heritage stripes. I kinda hate to undo all that's been done. I just love the 3rd gens. Whoa! I just looked at your cold star video and found out you're from Minnesota. I'm in Grand Rapids, MN. Any events left you would recommend. We just had our two cars shows July 24-25th. that's it up here for the year. Let me know. Maybe I can attend and check this car out in person.

There's different levels to swaps it's mainly what's in your budget. I did all the work myself including building the engine and got some good deals along the way. Probably have 8-10k in the swap side of the build.

I had an 85 z-28 that I built a 350 for, I built it to 394 c.i. vortec heads Slight work,rpm airgap slight cam stock slightly altered rocker arms, quick fuel technology race specific 750 cfm manual secondaries, 5 speed stock & 323 posi. Sold it and regret it still.
Say, can you keep the original intake? Just curious why you swapped out the original twin air filter setup.. Also, do you have spacers on those 18s? Thanks

What Motor would you recommend I put in my 1982 camero it currently has the dual fuel injection in it but I want more horsepower and also a little more fuel efficient
What are your cam specs that are making the valvetrain noisy. Also have you had it on a dyno yet? Any RWHP #'s? Want to see what some peeps are getting with cams because I might just go with the LS3 525 ASA motor which supposedly makes 525 crank but I just dont see it with just the ASA cam adding 95 hp....Im calling BULLSHIT ON GM and I cant find any REAL DYNO NUMBERS FOR the LS 525.....a cam only LS3 making better numbers than an LS7???? CMON MAN
For the cam I'm running a comp cam xtreme energy 54-446-11 .598 lift 112 lob separation 233 intake 234 exhaust. It definitely added some serious gains on the LS3 but I kept it relatively mild because I'm manual and didn't want to kill all drivablity. The LS3 would definitely take more cam though being a big bore. In the video I totally got my push rod lengths wrong lol. After checking preload the exhaust was out of preload spec range. I had to run 2 different lengths pushrods to get correct preload. 7.4 and 7.375 it definitely help quite it down. I've also did the trunion upgrade to. I think alot of people say big cams just make these aluminum LSs noisy is some cases.

Yes it is. It bolted right to the firewall. I had the old 6mm metric lines ended up running and new brakeline to the rear with adapters.

That's a healthy cam man. I'm running the LS7 lifters but now wish I went with factory dealer lifters but man there pricey.
I need to look up what year the master and booster are. Way better looking than the stock unit
Definitely helps clean up the engine bay. The ones I used was for a 2000 camaro ls1.

18s definitely looks the best on these. I'm running a 3 row aluminum radiator I believe champion makes it.

if the car is running, i say take care of the suspension and handling in preparation for what engine trans combo you plan on putting down and purpose.

The original intake was to small to feed the LS3. I have a small spacer up front Nothing in the back.

Where did you get the upper radiator support panel or is that original from that car?
That's the stock 3rd gen upper radiator cover for the 89-92 with factory electric fans.
What kind of lug nuts do you have? I just bought some xxr 526 wheels and my regular lug nuts don’t fit 🤷♂️
Have to use the skinny tunner style. You can get them off Amazon or from auto parts store.

The wiper motor from a 89 Nissan Maxima, does it also use a user set delay like the stock motor or is it a simple two speed unit?
Yes its a simple 2 speed unit. I just shut it off at the bottom and didn't wire up the memory stop works fine. I don't drive the car in the rain.

Yes I know you can go up to 295 on back and 275 up front.
Did you ever weld on a subframe connector for this?
I did subframe connectors are a must at these power levels.

The LS3 would definitely take more cam though being a big bore. In the video I totally got my push rod lengths wrong lol. After checking preload the exhaust was out of preload spec range. I had to run 2 different lengths pushrods to get correct preload. 7.4 and 7.375 it definitely help quite it down. I've also did the trunion upgrade to. I think alot of people say big cams just make these aluminum LSs noisy is some cases.

Noise is from the GM lifters. Morel makes the best bang for the buck hydraulic lifters that are far better than Ls7 lifters.
