You're so lucky to find a 3rd gen camaro with a 5 speed for 200 dollars. The rims are worth more than that. I am so envious. That will make a beautiful car with just a little tlc. Congrats on your find.

Great job Griff, and what a deal! Even if it didn't run you've got your money back in parts alone.

Glad you saved it and got everything looking good again. These cars used to be everywhere, but now it's getting harder and harder to find them.

Yeah, nice video but... Please try to avoid to gain power, when there is already 215 Hp available in the all original 305 TPI-V8 5 speed manual gearbox setting, and the Borg-Warner manual gearbox- drive train setup is not capable to handle much more than the standard 215 HP to begin with, witch basically is the very reason the 5,7 Liter V8 which comes with 225 HP was not available with this Borg-Warner drive train setup because this Borg-Warner Gearbox/drive train was not capable to handle the 5,7 Liter V8 225 HP. So trying to gain power actually really is not a very smart thing to do, unless you've got a automatic in there or you've got an entire upgraded drive train in there witch can handle all kinds of power upgrades to begin with. So if you do not want your all original Borg-Warner drive train to be chewed up by gained power...you better think twice. And one more thing: the cars that actually go up in value are the all original ones...so modifying really does not ad any value, in fact it will decrease value.

i know this video is 2 years old but for anyone who sees this now and has to feed gas through the carb just get a water bottle a plastic one and put a hole in the cap and let someone keep feeding it while your cranking it and when its running but be careful cause it could catch on fire

A suggestion from a GM VAN NUYS AUTO WORKER Always drop tank and clean, and never run fuel out, these pumps need fuel to cool .After 675 camaros Pontiacs a night 8hrs for 10yrs. There is a coolant for temp for the OB1 and fans and engine Temps. Clean and flush engine new coolant, wiggle test sensors and check GROUNDS.

Nice job!! I bet that felt awesome the first time it fired up and ran!!! I love the 3rd gen camaros, I've never owned one but my first car was a 78' Z28 , it had the tear drop induction hood and T-tops...it needed a little body work , it wasn't the prettiest thing but it wasn't a rolling rust bucket either...I had the fastest car at my high-school, I proved it wasnt luck or a fluke on multiple occasions...later on I had a 97' 30th anniversary edition

I found my 84Z 4 hours away from me. Not a bad car at all. In decent shape for its age. Underside was clean as hell. I put a crap ton of new stuff in it when i got it but it wanted to go from the beginning. Once it was mechanically solid, I buffed it out and it shined up real nice. Now im working on asthetics like door and top seals. I like seeing these cars come back from the dead. Theres something nice about it.
